Too lazy to hit the gym? This full-body workout gives the term "couch potato" a whole new meaning |
This is a TotalBeauty.com fitness article "It's too cold outside for a run," "the gym is too crowded," "I'll do it tomorrow." We all know these oh-so-familar excuses for not working out. Sure, it's so much easier to plop down on the couch after a long day than to lace up those sneakers. But there is finally hope for even the laziest of the lazy gals. We talked to personal trainers, Pilates instructors, and physical therapists who revealed various exercises that can be done on your very own sofa. Get ready to transform your body one episode of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" at a time. |
Oh hello Gorgeous! Did you enjoy the SAG Awards last night? Congrats to the winners, each and every one of them. Now-with all of the red carpet beauty parading by, it brings to mind-who was fully groomed from head to toe?
I ask because recently I have been introduced to a new product line called Project FIG-for the 'fig' zones.
The product came about ( you know, necessity is always the mother of invention) because founder Sue Madigan had successfully lost more than 130 pounds!
Ms. Madigan is a former skincare executive and co-founder of Project FIG because now she has set out to conquer the dating world. I could probably learn a thing or two from Sue when it comes to dating!
I tried all four products in the FIG skin care line and loved them. The exfoliant is awesome and the after care soothing gel is a light textured, pleasantly scented true soother!
Does anybody remember the time I tried out a razor for the intimate area? The video is below-in the mean time, enjoy these tips from the Project FIG website and Ms. Madigan. Honestly, I tried it, I liked it and I can give it a thumbs up for a personal purchase and better yet-this is the 'go to' gift for a bridal shower!
SHAVERS
GIVE IT TIME
Be sure to shave your intimate areas when you have plenty of time and aren’t feeling rushed. Nothing says “ouch!” faster than a nick or cut.TRIM
Start with trimming down the hair using scissors or a body hair trimmer if this is your first time or you’ve let the garden grow a bit. This reduces the chance of ‘pulling’ (no thanks!) and extensive damage to your razor. Typically, you should get about 3 good uses out of your razor, but only if you trim the hedges first.BATHE
Optimally, follow trimming with a warm bath or shower to soften skin and hair and relax the hair follicles for a closer, more comfortable shave.DE-PUFF
Avoid, whenever possible, grooming your intimate area first thing in the morning. Just as you may have puffy eyes upon waking, so can other sensitive areas retain fluid and experience a little puffiness. Wait at least an hour after getting out of bed before grooming, or do it later in the day to avoid possible irritation. And be sure to use Project FIG Soothing Serum if irritation occurs.ALL INTIMATE GROOMERS
KEEP IT LOOSE
Right after intimate grooming, avoid tight clothing, especially after the first few times when skin may be a little more sensitive.SLOUGH IT OFF
Be sure to exfoliate regularly in between grooming. Exfoliating keeps pores clean and removes dead cell build up that can lead to ingrown hair. Optimally, wait at least 8 to 12 hours before or after grooming to avoid irritation. Project FIG preventative Exfoliant is gentle, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth.Remember: you are beautiful! I cam home late after visiting my great gran gran so I did not got a chance to watch the SAG Awards but congrats to the winners. Thanks for the grooming tips. I sometime wish there was some thing less of a hassle for the private area..as much as I like to keep it clean shavers can be a bit time consuming. Have a wonderful day xx
