Dear Beautiful,
This day, in 2001, I was in Kona Hawaii at a Tony Robbin's event. I got up and got ready for the days events and just happened to turn the tv on, and saw the news. It was unbelievable. I knew I had to make it to the event and go forward with the day. When I arrived, everyone was in shock, and the morning events went forward though in a different tone after the attacks were addressed. I remember seeking out my friend Peter, to provide comfort and check that his family at home in New York were ok.
Thankfully, they were.
Eventually the event was over and the event attendees had to fly home. The airport was tense, full of Army soldiers, and the flight was extremely tense heading back to Los Angeles.
That day for me is like the day President Kennedy was shot for my parents. Everyone remembers where they were, what they were doing and what was different from that moment on.
So today, I encourage you, to remember. Those that died in the attack. Those that fought bravely in rescuing and responding, and those family members and loved ones who survive every day from then til now without there family.
Musicians and artists responded in the way they know best, with art and music. Here is a bit to encourage you going forward today.
To the men and women of the United States military, and our first responders, thank you and God bless you.
