Whoa! All of a sudden I'm "Miss Hair'do". I love going to the salon and having the stylist do my hair. Oh, I wish they could just do it every day! Funny, when I do someone's makeup, they say the same thing!
Okay, go here: http://www.profoundbeauty.com/ and see what I am talking about. They sent me some products to try and sometimes, testing on your own works, but when it came to hair, I had to test on someone else. No one else is really around ...except...the toddler. Oh yeah!
He is currently wearing a grown out "faux hawk" so it gave me plenty to work with.

I used the Structure Working Spray and the Atmosphere Desert Texture Spray. How apropro right? Since we live in the desert?

It came out nice and piecey, full, with lots of soft spikes that could be readjusted. All of this was happening on his head while I had Hush Time Out Treatment sitting in my own hair.

The treatment can be left in dry hair for additional conditioning so I left it. Then used t he Stylist Volume foam to give my roots so lift. I sprayed some Desert Texture spray and thankfully it came out clear and gave a firm base to back comb my up-do on to. I finished the whole head with a spray of the Working spray and of course, finished with my signature flower.

Nice! I may be converting to a hair person...
Thanks and enjoy the beauty bits today! To get your own "style" or look, plus the products, visit http://www.profoundbeauty.com/ They have an awesome style tool on the page to help you walk through the steps and products used to achieve the looks. Enjoy!

Oh! Just in time for frizzies and flyaways as our hair gets used to the change in climate. Here in Arizona we are finally transitioning into cooler weather. It usually takes a few weeks for the body to adjust. So in the meantime a simple product to help control fly away hair while adding some shine is the Silk Style SMoothing Mousse from Smooth'N Shine.

What it does is improve hair's strength and elasiticity with a silk protein. It also has at hermal portection ingredient that helps prevent heat damage from styling. It's safe for chemically treated hair.

The key ingredients are:
Silk Amino Acids- to strengthen and fortify
Wheat Proteins-intensity and nourish hair
Anti-Frizz Polymers-smooth the surface of the hair and reduce static.

You can get this product at any drugstore such as a Walgreens, Target or Walmart and it should be around $2.99! Perfect price for recessionista savvy beauty gals like you and me!

Relastin: a functional elastin for firmer, tighter, more youthful

Top 10 Hottest-Guy Cities

We so hope you single gals out there live in one of these U.S. towns, if not, call the movers -- stat!

Sure, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and one woman's George Clooney is another's Steve Buscemi. But there are SOME things that all (or almost all) of us look for in a mate. According to evolutionary psychologist David Buss, Ph.D., women desire "intelligence, good health, emotional stability, ambition and industriousness, and good financial prospects." We used these factors to find out where the hotties live. Do you live in one of these sexy-guy cities?

I love the tag line for this product: go ahead — laugh. smile. pucker up. spring back!
I also enjoy the fact that Martha Stewart Living magazine gave it an award along with Allure magazine.
So it's off to a good start. I did a seven day challenge with the product in what they call a "snap test". Which is a test used to determine the number of seconds it took for t he skin to snap back to baseline after being pulled a specified distrance from the skin. Essentially, grab your jowl, pull it back and let it lfy with a timer on. The Relastin product out snapped the leading copper peptide product.

Well, in my own home test, there wasn't a lot of skin to snap test, but I did feel a tightening and firmer look to my skin, even under foundation. I used three different types of foundation: mineral compact by Larenim, liquid Line Defiance by Arbonne and aerosol spray ERA Face by Classified Cosmetics. Each applied smoother and wore well through out the day.

The weather here in Arizona has been changing and I've been feeling more dry lately. I'm curious if I would be an Ultra Emollient Relastin customer vs. just a regular Relastin customer? Either way, I enjoyed the product and can recommend it to those of you who like a little more pep in their product.

Relastin promotes the formation of elastin. it's the protein that makes skin spring right back into place. So do some serious expressions with your own tub of Relastin. Get yours online at http://www.relastin.com/

TotalBeauty.com
The Best Mascaras. Ever.

From drugstore to high-end, waterproof to washable, we found the best of the best

It's time for the ultimate mascara countdown. These are the best of the best, according to our readers. The list includes everything from a $30 wonder to a $1.50 delight. Whether you're looking for length, volume, curl (or all of the above), we've got a product for you. Drum roll, please …

Oh yeah! I'm a fragrance junkie! Ooh and I love a new fragrance! Just in time for fall in Arizona I have sampled and enjoyed ( so has the toddler) the new YSL fragrance Parisienne with a media campaign featuring Kate Moss.

Here's a link to where you can get some:
http://www.yslbeautyus.com/womens-fragrance-parisienne-fragrance/c36_115_116/p461/new-parisienne-eau-de-parfum-spray/product_info.html?gclid=CJWI6Prqq50CFSUsawodf2w5ig

And though I love the fragrance, I love the price point. Most fragrances seem to be hoving in the $65 range...though this is only $39 for a generous size.

It's a step up f rom using a classic YSL fragrance like Baby Doll. This scent is part Damask Rose and part blackberry with an intriguing scent that lasts.

Here's a YouTube link for the video with Kate Moss. Love the shoes, love the fragrance, love the roses, but could do without all the writhing. Funny, some male bloggers posted just the opposite!
Enjoy!

I'm in love with Larenim!

Best New Halloween Costume Ideas

Stand out at a party with one of these hip, and easy-to-do, costumes

Best New Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween costumes can be tricky. You don't want to look cheesy or lame, but you also don't want to be so creative/weird that no one gets what your costume is. Luckily, we've pulled together some foolproof costume ideas for this year. The best part? Most of them don't require you to buy a costume, just get creative with makeup and the clothes in your closet!

Wow, write this day down. If you know me personally, you know how hard I am on mineral makeup and that up to this point, I had not found one that I really liked and would personally use.

Last week, an editorial sample and media kit showed up literally, as I was leaving for the set. In a randy mood, I said to my self, "self, take this to work today and test it.". And I did. Now I'm in love.

Sure, I can blah b lah about it, but to get detials for yourself their site is http://www.larenim.com/

The company has lots of awards and my favorite is the "Beauty witha consceience awardsd natural solutions editor pick for mascara, pressed foundation and blush".

The compact. That is what won me over. See I used to love Studio Fix until it got funky and gave me a steady crop of blackheads and pimples. I thought I would never find another compact powder foundation that gave great coverage. Until now...

Use a sponge for f ull coverage, or a kabuki brush for a lighter look! I set it with my Skindinavia spray and wah lah! The makeup lasted all evening: through 2 photoshoots, a bridal expo and again the following morning in my television segments and on the models for the fashion show.

Okay Larenim, you have won me over to compact powder foundation. I will put the air brush down and back away.

In short, go get yours so you too can experience true colored pigments that did not fade as the day went on or flake off. My "jules" eyecolor for the lid and doubled as a liner didn't move! Promise!

In my town, the greater Phoenix area, and Mesa to be more specific...you can buy Larenim from Sprouts. It's so funny that I have walked by this product so many times and never bought it! Now that I'm in love with the award winning compact foundation when the sample runs out I'm going to Sprouts!

Get yours online if you don't have a Sprouts in your area!
Thank you to model Perla Peralta and Suzanne's Bridal for the dress.
