Helena Christensen & Elizabeth Gaynes Launch Their Niche Fragrance Line - strangelove nyc - at VIP Luncheon in Bergdorf Goodman

Hi ya Gorgeous!
So, if you have been with Makeup University any amount of time, you would know that I LOVE fragrance.
If you are new here, welcome and by the way, I love fragrance. It is my favorite and most used accessory and even if you have on an inexpensive thrifted outfit, a great perfume can class and jazz the whole thing up to a Vogue cover!

That's why I'm sharing the news about Helena Christensen and her new fragrance available at Bergdorf Goodman. I haven't got a sample yet...but I'm going to check the mail right now!

Enjoy and get yourself to Bergdorf's quick and get a whiff then tell me what it's like!

Helena Christensen, Creative Director of the niche fragrance brand strangelove nyc, along with Founder Elizabeth Gaynes, celebrated the brand’s official debut in Bergdorf Goodman this week.

Brooke Shields, Camilla Staerk and Danielle Snyder (of Dannijo) joined a celebratory luncheon at the BG Restaurant inside Bergdorf Goodman.

“It’s hard to find a perfume that you would want to put on every single day, spray it in your hair, spray it all over your body, and that’s how I felt when I got to smell the first samples,” Creative Director Helena Christensen said. “When you first try deadofnight, your senses are stimulated in the most magical way; you are simply transfixed by its power. With meltmyheart, you first fall in love with the scent itself; it is so tender and poetic, so full of yearning romance. It makes your heart flutter. It’s about surrendering to love and experiencing it fully.”

Sourced from exotic locales like Borneo, Madagascar, Mauritius and India, strangelove nyc uses some of the rarest natural oils and selected ingredients in the world, creating completely original scents that are long-lasting, extremely sensual and unquestionably unique.

The company launched its two oudh-based scents, deadofnight and meltmyheart, this fall. Prized for centuries for its deeply complex scent and aphrodisiac affects, oudh is a rare, aromatic resin from the ancient East.

The Cellulite Cream Challenge

This is a TotalBeauty.com body article

Cellulite is an unpleasant part of life that most of us need to accept. And though experts generally agree that you can't totally get rid of it, you can help minimize the appearance of it -- with the right products. We had readers test a variety of popular cellulite fighters to tell you which ones might be worth spending hard earned cash on, and which ones to skip.

Well as you know the past few weeks I have been using the Revitabrow product to grow my thin, light, sparse eyebrows and lo and behold the product works. The tube is empty and my brows are thick and full, dark too! Oh the joy of a product that works. Though now I stand with the challenge of: how do I maintain this?

My brows are so "Brooke Shield'ish" that friends and family have commented and noticed with out me saying anything. Argh! I want them to stay, my thick and furry friends.

So I'm out of the Revitabrow, though just got a sample of the Masimum Lash conditioner. It's geared for eyelashes to grow them longer, stronger and thicker. But I'm guessing that what is good for the eyelash can also be good for the eyebrow?

Here's to science and my face as a guinnea pig. Today is the first day that I have applied the Maximum Lash eyelash conditioner to my eyebrows. From here on out I will use the product on both my eyelashes and my eyebrows and I hope that they both stay long and thick!

p.s. the real test of my newly grown eyebrows is that I'm going to have them "threaded". The ancient art of India women is stateside and there is a kiosk in the mall that does threading of brows. I've always waited with anticipation of having a brow to pluck, but now, I can see the forest and the trees and they must be shaped! I'll let you know how it goes.
