Hello Gorgeous!
It's October in Arizona! You know that means?
Everything! Finally the weather is under 100 degrees which means that many of us will be coming out of our air conditioned caves!

There are many amazing events going on right now -one such event is the Scottsdale Film Festival.
So why not put on some party makeup and head on out to see an international or independent film?
Lately, Hollywood only seems to be putting out remakes of remakes, another chapter in a sequel or prequel or another comic book movie. Don't get me wrong-I love a good action packed comic book character movie-but 4 in one summer? It's too much!

You can see in the photos that I am working through the new Smashbox Smokebox palette. It is as lovely as it looks! It's all the colors you need for a day time smokey eye or a night time smokey eye.
I also added lashes onto this look-which if you are going out to a film festival-why not glam it up a bit!
In these final photos you can see what the results look like-and I am going to give you a short step by step instruction, but you can also go to the how to
video on YouTube.
1. Put a light matte color on the brow bone
2. Put the shimmery color on your tear duct area and sweep it under the eye on the lower lashes. To make it vinyl looking-wet the brush and run through the corner of the shimmery shadow and and reapply.
3. Use the medium mushroom taupe color all over the lid-from the lash line to the crease of your eye.
4. Color the corner of you eye with the purple shade in a small triangle pattern and run it under the lower lashes so it mixes a bit with your shimmer.
5. Finish the eye with a small black contour stroke through the crease. Now line your eyes with black liner, do the waterline if you want and pop on lashes and mascara!
Enjoy seeing "Like Crazy" or "The Way" or "Women on the 6th Floor" and get your Smashbox Smokebox at Sephora!Remember: you are beautiful! Thank you for visiting the blog and check back for promotions and beauty giveaways!

Hello gorgeous!

Makeup Designory has the Valentines Day best beauty look-smokey mossy green eyes!

The Makeup Designory (MUD) shadows are smooth and velvety, blend easily and are long wearing without creasing.

Say hello and please welcome my model-the
lovely and talented singer and actress

plus dancer Kourtney Wallace.

NOW-before I go any further, I ask your forgiveness for if you look closely at the photo you can see some unblended setting powder! Oh the horror!

It is the first cardinal rule of makeup application-
to blend, blend, blend and when you think that you have blended enough-blend some more!

Miss Kourtney I am so sorry! She was a great sport for coming by the studio on a short notice for a fast series of 4 different looks in an hour-that's fast! No wonder I waned on the blending?

Now, back to the MUD (Makeup Designory) Valentines Day smokey mossy eye-
I applied an eyeshadow primer first.

Then the color Tea Tree which is a rich emerald green color all over the lid from the lash line to the crease.

I use the MUD Moss color in the crease and around the corner of the eye and along the bottom lash line. I make a thick smudgy line with

the Moss shadow and then go over it with black pencil. I use the MUD cake eyeliner which is water activated to blend into the consistency that you like to work with along the top lash line with a bold wing effect at the top of the eye corner.

I finish with two thick coats of mascara. Kourtney is wearing Luminess Airbrush foundation in F8, the pink blush from Luminess
her lips are unlined and filled in with a sheer pink gloss.

Two simple hair rolls adorned with a flower complete this Makeup Designory Valentines Day smokey mossy eye makeup look!

You can do this! It's simple and the look fits for casual dinner out or a formal evening.

Makeup Designory also has a great school for teaching makeup artistry - if you would like more information visit www.mud.edu
