Choosing a waist cincher or corset for steampunk western or everyday wear?

Hi ya Gorgeous!
I'm working on a project that has a western steampunk look for the lead character and a slightly modified western punk look for the rest of the cast..
I got the waist cincher and corset to start putting together the lead character wardrobe and love the boning, and metal detail!

Each have a solid amount of construction and boning that is flexible on the beige waist cincer, though very firm busking on the steam punk corset.
