Hi friends,
You may have noticed as of late I have been trying,testing and covering alot of different sun care products. Why? Because you and me, really need to find one we love and won't live without because when you live in Arizona, or anywhere in the sun belt for that fact; need to wear a sunscreen daily.

I just tried this LaRoche-Posay Anthelios 45 super light fluid and I loved it. Why? Because it dries down to a matte finish and wears really well underneath my liquid foundation. Oh happy day! Oh happy day! Happy Earth day! Can you believe it's been 40 years since the Earth day movement began? Hi, just a wee update on what the Dr. Simeons HCG diet protocol has been like for me. It's a saga with a prequel, sequel and now I'm in the final chapter.

P3 has made the VLCD look easy because it was: you could only eat 500 calories, and specifically a few foods. Simple, right? Right!

Now, on P3 you introduce your fats back into the diet. All the calorie counting and measuring and label reading is laborious in my experience. Though I write today with a true story of shock and horror! I now understand why Kevin Trudeau wrote in his book about shunning all pre-made foods/beverages due to the large amount of hidden sucralose, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup and just junk fillers that are in everything. (note to self: hire personal chef)

So I'm going to make my own fatty bleu cheese dressing to have for salads and as a dip. I buy the necessary ingredients: bleu cheese, buttermilk, sour creme and I already have organic Braggs apple cider vinegar and garlic in the house along with some sea salt to add as I need in my dressing.

I'm stirring and shaking my ingredients together just waiting to eat my new concoction when I finally get around to read the fine print of ingredients on the buttermilk and sour creme. Lo and behold, there towards the bottom, both contain sucralose and corn syrup. In buttermilk and sour creme? Are you kidding me! It so ticked me off!

I know you may be saying " well did you buy the organic brand?". No, I did not. I like to, but the budget doesn't always warrant that. Sheesh! Who's plan was this? Who makes this corn syrup and hides it in everything? Are they in league with the Easter Bunny and Hallmark greeting card company?

Let's just say I'm peeved though my dressing turned out amazing! In fact, I'm about to go make a steak salad and glop my homemade bleu cheese dressing all over it, though I'm still annoyed at the prevalence of hidden junk in my food staples!

Goodluck on your Dr. Simeons HCG diet protocol journey. You can do it! You have more strength, will and gumption than you know! Nothing tastes as good as being healthy and fit feels! Now go for it gorgeous!

Sometimes you just need to try a product that will do something good and do it quick! I just finished my HCG diet protocol with Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches as my guide and one of the challenges I had was extremely dry skin. As a product junkie, not using anything for forty days was rough! I received a sample of Gehwol med Salve for cracked skin.

Now, this past weekend I worked outside, well in fact, I worked outside for an entire week! I had sunscreen on my face but didn't reapply so I got burned. Darn it!
 
To add to the melee; I did not follow my own suggestions and did not put sunscreen ( Lovin' the Aveeno Spf 55 in the yellow tube) on my hands. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt the entire time and now, I have brown hands. I tan really easily and since they weren't covered in sunscreen, they are deeply colored over the rest of me. It looks funny!

Hello Gorgeous! I am a recent convert to the power of a grapefruit. As you know from reading the blog, I have been following Dr. Simeons HCG diet protocol from his book "Pounds and Inches". All my life, and on every diet I have ever been on ( just name one, I've done it) it is always recommended to eat grapefruit.

Oh, let me clarify, that is the one diet I never did "The Grapefruit Diet" because up until now, I have not liked it.
Grapefruits are a powerful anti-oxidant loaded fruit for skin and for health. I eat one for breakfast almost every day now and here's my secret for how I eat it and love it!

I pull one off the tree in the backyard. So it's super fresh! Since it's ripened on the tree, that may be the other reason why I like it so much?

After rolling it on the counter to make it juicier, I halve it, and then slice all the segments so it pulls apart with the spikey spoon better.

I douse it in cinnamon, stevia and add a few drops of the Vanilla Creme stevia then let it set a few minutes to let everything melt together.  Delicious! Now go enjoy one too because it's good for your skin and you!

Friends, it's half way there. Somedays it feels like further than what could possibly be human or personal torture, but yep, the end is in sight!

I was visiting with a fellow HCG'er last night and she did two rounds, lost 40 pounds and has been keeping it off per the programs instructions. Though she said it was more difficult than she expected.

She also was in agreement that Melba is just too good and should be done away with. In fact, I too gave up the melba out of a love/hate relationship we had. See, I love salty crunchy snacks and found that having one, yes, one melba suare per meal was just too much temptation! It got even worse when I had the amazing sea salt and garlic flavored Melba rounds! You are allowed two but two is worse than one when it comes to the quick and slippery slope to four or five.

So here's and cheers to you fellow HCG diet protocol followers! You c an do it! You are stronger than you know! Press into what Dr. Simeons laid out in decades of research and satisfied patients. You can achieve your goal! Now go!
