Well, here I am after the school party at the Outback Steakhouse and though I had a wee piece of steak on my plate, my son had a pile of fries, fried chicken strips, bleu cheese dressing f or dipping and two pieces of bread with four cubes of butter.
He, likes to eat the butter plain. Oh to be a kid again. I was feeling pretty strong right up til where the buffet server asked me if I would like some salad. It is the shredded mix blend with carrots, cabbage and candied pecans. Who can withstand a candied pecan covered in some kind of sweet viniagrette? Not me that's for sure.
So I had some saucy steak, 3 bites of a bleu cheese chicken strip, and a small scoop of the salad. Only the steak is on the Dr. Simeons HCG diet protocol and I'm guessing not in that lovely sauce that they cook it in? The upside to all this is that it was a lean cut.
Oh, and afterwards when they were serving cake I was all ready on a slippery downhill diet slope with one foot on a banana peel so naturally when they were handing out cake I had one of those too!
It took about ten minutes for me to be sick to my belly. Not over the toilet kind of sick, but dizzy, lightheaded with a headache "alka seltzer" kind of sick.
The old saying of " cheaters never prosper" is right! So, I'm back to the protocol after the third cheat on my HCG diet and having a scallop and some celery for dinner. It's so like being grounded after joy riding in my parents car with out their permision.
Funny, for me on the Dr. Simeons protocol, I have found many an interesting thing about myself. What is most disappointing about the chicken strip cheat is that todays weigh in...I am so close to the goal. Then the bleu cheese got me. Darn.
Well, back on the wagon and onward and upward!
p.s. the product list for the protocol is coming out this week, promise!

The beauty of 2010 Winter Olympics Lindsey Vonn
Check out the gorgeous features these celebrity pairs share |
Like mother, like daughter -- we did some digging and found 10 celeb pairs with something in common. Some of them look so much alike that you'd likely have to do a double take if you spotted them on the street. Which duo do you think is the most gorgeous? |
As I have been watching the 2010 Winter Olympics I've also been looking at the athletes and their style, hair and makeup even.
Here is the lovely Lindsey Vonn and she is a great example of a healthy athlete and woman. She has amazing skin and it shows well even in the HD cameras used for the sports. I wonder what she uses in the way of face wash, eye creme, serums, moisturizers and of course, sunscreen?
Whatever she is using, it's doing a great job of keeping her skin hydrated and protected while she competes!
Congratulations to Lindsey Vonn 2010 Winter Olympic gold medalist!

HCG and weekend plans: prepare ahead of time!
Test your product-ingredient knowledge and find out when to save -- or splurge |
Field trip! We're headed to the drugstore and the department store -- where you're sure to find loads of products that make the same promises but have very different price tags. See if you can spot the difference between drugstore and department store products based on ingredients alone. |
Okay, I'm on day 7 and I'm hungry. I've found that melba toast is the most delicious food I've ever had after waiting all morning for it! The truth is, I am losing pounds, and inches just like the Dr. Simeons protocol said I would.
I do still take my thyroid medication and so far have not noticed anyting different or off? I have not used any of my usual armory of skin care products and I am so dry and itchy! The only thing I do use is my La Roche-Posay thermal water atomizer to mist my face when I can no longer stand it.
Ok, if I can do this so can you! I keep telling myself that I can do anything for a short amount of time and so far I am already a third of the way there! Plus, I like the results I'm seeing!
Now, time to plan ahead: I have weekend plans that I can not avoid and I will be surrounded by food! And lots of it!
Grace grace to me! And to you too!
Now, I have been working on a personal list of makeup products that are in the HCG diet protocol safety zone and more on that later! There are many books that list products and they all say Arbonne, Aubrey and Alba! If you like those, you'll like Zia Naturals too and don't forget JASON and Noah's Naturals.
Til next time, keep counting, measuring and focusing on the end results! You can do it!

Shaun White: Winter Olympic hair volume for the Spring!
Learn how to get the cold winter weather to leave your gorgeous looks alone |
Winter can be your skin and hair's worst nightmare. It dries out your cuticles, frizzes your strands and makes skin flake -- ugh! To the rescue: tips from Winter Olympics Team USA. Here they share their secrets on how to battle cold winter temps and look gorgeous all cold-weather season long. |
.If you have been enjoying the Winter Olympics as much as I have then you too have been watching it on television and most likely looking online for recaps. I'm a big snowboard and Shaun White fan! So while I've been watching I have also taken note of what the Olympic athletes skin, hair and even makeup looks like.
Today, let's take a look and see about Shaun White' style:
That is definately the 80's style volume that we are going to be seeing in the Spring 2010 beauty trend! Though I think his is natural and for your volume I recommend foams like Profound Beauty Stylist volume foam and Aveda's Phomallient. I think he just looks like a picture of health, vitality, vim and vigor! Surely that is the result of good eating and wearing sunscreen while practicing his snowboarding tricks. Oh the Double McTwist 1260 is definately going down in history. I don't know what brand sunscreen he uses, though I know I trust the Neutrogena line, La Roche-Posay, Arbonne, and Bullfrog! Remember to apply it to your hands so they age slower.
Below is a wee clip/photo courtesy of the http://www.nbcolympics.com/ website about the gold and how Shaun White won. Enjoy!

Congratulations to you Shaun!
