How to get sideswept braids and summer hairstyles with Tresemme

 Hi ya Gorgeous!
Today I'm completing the mammoth task of packing for San Diego Comicon.
Enjoy this summer hair tutorial from Tresemme!  Next stop...the beach!

Side Swept Braid:

1.     Evenly distribute TRESemmé TRES Two Climate Protection Mousse through damp hair from roots to ends, then rough dry using a paddle brush.

2.     Using a medium-size curling iron create loose waves at random until all hair is curled. Lightly tease at the roots for added volume.

3.     Separate hair into a deep side part, then pull all loose strands to the side away from the part. Create a 3-strand braid and secure with an elastic.

TIP: For the desired effortless look, be sure to not pull the hair too tight while braiding! 

4.     Complete the look by spritzing with TRESemmé TRES Two Climate Protection Hairspray.

Undone Waves with Embellished Accent Braid:

1.     Evenly distribute TRESemmé TRES Two Climate Protection Mousse through damp hair from roots to ends, then rough dry using a paddle brush.

2.     Using a medium-size curling iron create loose waves at random until all hair is curled. Lightly tease at the roots for added volume.

3.     Separate hair into a side part. Starting at the hairline of the smaller section create a Dutch braid that follows the hairline, behind the ear to the nape of the neck, then continue the braid through the ends.

4.     Finish the look by spritzing with TRESemmé TRES Two Climate Protection Hairspray.

5.     Embellish the braid using hair ring for added flare.

Fragrance Face Off: Versace Crystal Noir vs Miami Glow by JLO

Today I have a blog post with a video for you on one of my favorite subjects...fragrance!

I absolutely love fragrance and I think that perfume is the best accessory!

Makeup University received two fragrance samples, Miami Glow by JLO and Versace Crystal Noir.

I really like both scents, though I love the Versace Crystal Noir.

Details on Versace Crystal Noir: According to Donatella Versace, Crystal Noir is a rare essence, sensual and delicate. The central note of the composition is mysterious gardenia, fresh, sensual, luminous and creamy, reproduced by 'headspace' technology,. Amber and musk in the base make the scent dark and mysterious, very sensual and distinct. The fragrance was created by Antoine Lie in 2004.
( I can hardly believe this fragrance is ten years old? About $40 online)

Notes on Miami Glow by JLO
Miami Glow creators drew their inspiration from the enormous success of its forerunner, Glow. This perfume is ment for very young women. Miami Glow is the soul of this city with its palm trees, beaches, parties, freedom and passion. Jennifer Lopez says that beside her home town, New York, Miami is her favorite city in the world. It starts with lush and juicy notes of pink grapefruit, coconut water, passionfruit and blackcurrant. The heart is a blend of orange blossom, helitrope and cyclamen. The drydown is sensual and sunny in a sensual vanilla, musks, blond woods and amber vail. Miami Glow was launched in 2005. The nose behind this fragrance is Caroline Sabas.
