Happy New Year's 2021- oops - Jumanji 2021

Hi ya Gorgeous,

Well, here we are. Ready to put 2020 to rest. Wow.

What a year. 2021 on the cusp of breaking forth in California and I'm excited for it. Not tip toeing around the possibility of 2020 residue sliming the goodness that is on my path for now, this season.

I really had high hopes and expectations for the new era, the ayin season of pey and to enter into the "roaring 20's" in a good way. At first glance, it doesn't even look like that in the least bit with pandemics, and lock downs, and over reaching abuse of power.  But, on a second look, I see that in 2020, I had much to be thankful for.

Perhaps that's the key going forward into the era of  '20's? This decade is about taking a step and counting the blessing in the step forward. Or even, if that step is one that is held in place. In music, that pause, is powerful. The space between notes is just as important as the note.

So I leave 2020, and go into 2021, with these encouraging words from Psalms 24: 7-10

Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

You are going to make it! Things are going to be ok! In fact, things are gonna be good! You are going to breakout of the stall of 2020 like calf leaping into a fresh green field! Go! Go! Go!

NYE Nails: How To Get Fab and Beautiful Nails for New Year's Eve - AT HOME

Hi ya Gorgeous!

Happy Boxing Day!  I don't really know what that is - but - my good friend, from England, says it's the best day ever! She also, gifted me "It's A Wrap" nail polish strips from Color Street for Christmas.

Oh so easy and oh so cute! Here in California, everything is still in lockdown.  There is no going to the hair salon or nail salon, only the Walmart or Home Depot. No, the nail salon inside Walmart is not open in my town. Sad.

Normally I would spend a lot in December on salon visits for hair, nails, spa facials and then some - but - with the shut down, zip!

So how do you get party ready when you can't go out?  My gal pals, Deborah and Trinity made it really, really easy and affordable with these nail polish strips that you simply adhere to your nail. Done. Boom. No waiting! No mess! Nothin' but good looking shiny fancy nails for New Year's Eve!

You can get yours now in so many fun colors with crazy patterns or simple, basic solid shades. There is something for everybody.

So what are your plans for NYE?

FACTORFIVE Skincare - Human Stem Cell Skincare

Hi ya Gorgeous!

Happy December and welcome to a month of celebrating! I choose to celebrate and make positive memories in spite of all the negative news.

Hanukkah? Celebrating!

Festivus?  Celebrating!

Christmas? Celebrating!

My family is not doing the amount of traveling that we would normally do - but, that doesn't mean we are not getting together for traditions and merry making. Enter my samples of FACTORFIVE skincare. I recently received a sample of the mini travel trio which consisted of an eye creme, serum and cream.

FACTORFIVE website says this about their company and culture:

" At its core, FACTORFIVE humanizes aging. Backed by years of scientific research, our award-winning skincare company seeks to redefine how we, as a society, look at aging. Powered by ethically derived human stem cells, FACTORFIVE works harmoniously with your own skin to replenish growth factors that naturally deplete as we age. Rather than hype, FACTORFIVE relies on innovation." .

The mini serum is $70, mini cream is $65 and mini eyelash/eyebrow cream is $55.

Out of my 3 samples, 2 of them the pump didn't work on the eye cream and face cream. I removed the pump system and scooped some out with a cotton swab. Both creams are light weight, absorbed quickly into the skin and have a sweet light floral fragrance. The FACTORFIVE  website says that 4 weeks are needed of continued use to see growth and re-growth in the eyebrows and eyelashes which contain stem cells and redensyl.

Now I am a big fan of serums and love a good face, neck and back of hand serum!  I really enjoyed the serum and the pump worked, so it was easy to use and get a metered dosage.  I personally can use too much product. The formulation is light, and has a nice slip on the skin which after absorbing had a hint of firming to the skin.

The price point is what keeps me from pursuing the full size bottles of the serum and eyebrow cream - which, I seriously need help growing in my eyebrows!

The little bit I tried of FACTORFIVE, I liked. Even though, the use of human stem cells has me thinking of the 1970's Charlton Heston film Soylent Green or the Los Angeles eatery The Hollydale.

If you like skincare, and advances in scientific ingredients and treatments for anti-aging - you just may like FACTORFIVE. There are some holiday gift sets available and you can even test the line by getting the minis! Use this link to check them out! https://factorfiveskin.com/
