What 3 Things Does a Man Need for Skincare? J Paul Skincare Has It!

 Hi ya Gorgeous!

TGIF! Woohoo! The weekend is here and I can hardly contain my excitement except for how hot it is. I feel like it's payback for all the times in the spring I saw my friend's front yard covered in snow and I was in shorts and running in the sunshine.

So there's that. Then there is this - the J Paul Skincare I have blogged about before has a 3 piece anti-aging system for men. But! Ladies you can use this too. In fact I have been using this the past week and I like it.  The thick night cream is my favorite!

Today I have a video that introduces you to the J Paul Skincare anti-aging line for men - 3 simple products! Learn more here: http://jpaulskincare.com or pick yours up at H-E-B Skincare

Would you try this? Wine Wednesday with Beringer Main & Vine

Hi ya Gorgeous!

Do I even need to tell you how fast this year is going? Do I?  My son and I have never really been halloween people but this year it's different for him. He is planning his costume and wanting to go to Knott's Scary Farm. Really? Ok, more on that later. For now you know what day it is!

Today is Wine Wednesday and I have an under $10 gem for you. In the Walmart, this brand is so so similar to the Trader Joe's Two Buck Chuck wine, Charles Shaw. I'm enjoying it and you may too! Watch the video and let me know in the comments if you have a ten dollar wine recommendation!

Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you have not already. This video is my comparison of a collection of bb creams that I like, but don't love and in the upcoming busy season of work, travel and family events, I need a product that is going to go from here to all day and all night - be camera ready and able to stand up to a variety of weather! Comment in 3..2..1! Go!

Now I was pulling links for you on Amazon so you could easily get one of these if you like it - but - seems some of these aren't even on the market anymore!

BCA Beauty Tips - Simple Makeup To Get Glam And Out the Door Fast!

 Hi ya Gorgeous!
TGIF! I'm so ready for the weekend - it's packed - but I'm looking forward to it! Now, October is traditionally the "BCA" - breast cancer awareness month, though, recently I've been helping some gal pals who are ending chemo and one year out of chemo get themselves back into beauty.

Some days they are just too tired to do anything and somedays they have to leave the house and want to look their best without a lot of fuss. So here's a few items to help you get yourself ready when you physically are not feeling that great.

From top to bottom in the photo and left to right :
1.  Consider using a hydrating mask one or twice a week. I really like the MyChelle hyaluronic mask because it's cruelty free, gentle, has natural ingredients, feels good and works!

2. Get a good cream for your face - a hydrated plump face is a sign of health - so slather on some face creme like the MyChelle hyaluronic creme in a pump.

Chemo treatments  can really dry the skin out - please pick up some hydrating toner, or make your own rosewater and aloe and put into a spray bottle to hydrate your skin first.  I'm using the MyChelle hyaluronic system - but - you use what you love and what works great for you.

3. Time for makeup - from the bottom left of the photo - I swear by a cream bronzer, like this one from Stila. You can apply it mixed into your face cream, or BB creme, or dab on with your fingers to your cheeks, chin and forehead for an added warmth and glow to skin that goes a bit sallow in chemotherapy treatments.

NOTE:  Apply your cream bronzer over your hydrated face - not on a dry face because then it can make splotchy streaks.

4. All of your body hair, everything goes - nose hair, keep tissues for the runny'ness!  Eyebrows and eyelashes go.  I recommend working with two shades of a creme eyeshadow stick, like these from Mally. The creme is gentle on the eyelid, and putting a slightly darker tone along the eyelash line where they fell out can make some definition without being harsh. Then use a lighter hint of shimmer creme on the brow bone and tear duct. Lookin' good girl!

NOTE:  At this point trying to add false lashes can be tricky since there is not a physical lash line for them to rest on - just wait, they will grow back and in the mean time if you don't have time or patience to try and glue them on the edge of your eye lid - just go without!

5. A little bit of concealer under the eyes can go along way with a sallow look from treatment and fatigue, just dab some on and this concealer from IT cosmetics is great for blending and wearing well!

6. I've got in the photo a Pacifica lip gloss in Plushious that can be both lip color and cheek color. Same thing with the Becca Watermelon stain in the photo, it too can be used for lips and cheeks.

7. Finally, see the wee bottles of roll on perfumes? That's Wild Spirit.  They are synthetic  chemical free and small batch created perfumes make with essential oils.  This is a healthy fragrance that is safe and non toxic for a lady in chemotherapy or out.  I think that fragrance is one of the best accessories a woman can wear!

To quote Steel Magnolias:
Clairee: The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize.

Amen!

Now ladies, no matter what the diagnosis is - you are strong enough to handle anything that comes your way and look good while doin' it!

Remember: you are beautiful! Thank you for visiting the blog and check back for promotions and beauty giveaways!

BCA - is for everyday - try these simple solutions to chemotherapy dried skin

Hi ya Gorgeous,
October is known for being an awareness month for breast cancer. Though, in reality, the disease is affecting an estimated 266,120 women in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, and 63,960 women will be diagnosed with in situ breast cancer.

So that means that right now, there is a woman somewhere in the world who is experiencing chemotherapy and radiation therapy to help her heal and survive the disease.

I've got a few simple recommendations to help you help her!

A sensitive and listening ear is always appropriate - it's really harder than you know to experience the fatigue, brain fog, nausea with an extended period of sick belly and dry skin. Very thin, dry skin from the treatments!

Chemotherapy treated skin needs gentle wash and gentle lasting moisture and it's key to keep chemicals in products to a minimum.

In the photo: consider using Dove micellar wash bars for gentle cleansing and the Dove repairing balm from their DermaSeries collection.  If you would like to go all organic in a natural product, you can't beat the moisturizing power of organic coconut oil!  LouAna is one of my favorite brands and I get it at the Walmart or Amazon.  For body odor, consider switching to a natural mineral based spray, like Saje.

These little changes could make a big difference in the comfort of the lady surviving cancer and gearing up to kick it's butt!

If you need more resources for how to be a support to someone with breast cancer, or if you are the person with cancer,  please visit this website https://www.cancercare.org/diagnosis/breast_cancer

All In One Shaver by J Paul Skincare | What your AFM - CES - Mipcom - Vidcon - and holiday gift giving needs now

 Hi ya Gorgeous,
Happy Thursday and almost weekend! Or should I just cut to the chase and say happy 95 days til Christmas!
I'm not ready!

Well, this lil goody I have to share today could be something to help me, you and the rest of the world when it comes to travel and shaving - gift giving and keepin' things neat and tidy in a busy season!

Meet the All In One Shaver by J Paul Skincare.  This comes in a set of 3 shavers that have 6 blades and a pump tube of shave cream for a handle.  I've used it - it's fabulous. The only thing I would do different is put a grippy texture on the handle.  Why? Because it got slippery in the shower on my legs.  The All In One Shaver is intended for the face so in it's intended use the water and shave cream run off won't make it as slippery as using it on a shin in the shower.
This item is TSA approved for travel!

Enjoy the video and get yours on the J Paul Skincare website or in H-E-B stores in Texas!

As always, thank you for watching and if you have a $10 and under wine to recommend, let me know in the comments! Ciao Bella!

Tangle Pets - Meet Sparkle! First Impression collab with MakeupUniversity

Hi ya Gorgeous!
This Tuesday feels like a Monday? In other news, I just got home from a wonderful work road trip to Southern California and I was so lucky to have just a wee bit of time with my brother and his kids! I swear every time I see them they have grown and matured by leaps and bounds!

So my niece Isabella has a YouTube channel and I bought this "As Seen On TV" Shark Tank special product called Tangle Pets. There are a couple of choices like a hamster or a lady bug, though I chose the unicorn named Sparkle because that just fits in with what Bella loves.

The sideways fun of doing this collab video with her is that it gave me a great side photo of how the 30 Day Rice Water Challenge worked on my hair.  Learn more about that with this link.

This video is a first impression of the Tangle Pets hair brush as seen on tv in the Shark Tank program on ABC. If you could, would you please visit her channel, and subscribe? Thanks so much!

Now if you are in the market for a great stocking stuffer this holiday season, pick up one of these for the long haired youth in your life.  The plush park is washable and we took it apart to see how the putting back together would be and it was simple and easy!

Get your Tangle Pet on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2QBAQaz Or at Walmart stores nationwide

J Paul Skincare - 4 Steps to Success for the Best Fall Look

 Hi ya Gorgeous,

Woo hoo! Welcome to the weekend! You made it! The Fall weather season brings a lot of changes - like cooler weather for anyone not living in Arizona. Which also means drier conditions meaning you may be in need of a change up in your skincare. Ladies - you know what I'm talking about so this post is really geared for men.

Guys, the drier weather means it's time to think about an extra step or two of attention to your skin. Consider adding a scrub for your exfoliation before shaving and then definitely consider adding a lotion with spf.  Are you using these yet?

So with that said guys, now it's time to talk to the younger set who are still in high school. Moms, when would now be a good time to get your son who is busy at school all day, going to football practice afterwards then rushing home to eat dinner, do homework and go to bed - a great set of skincare to help him looks his best and boost his confidence at school?  J Paul Skincare can do that!

Did I mention the price point? Wait - not yet. Because the 4 steps to success skincare system with
J Paul Skincare is an opportunity to wash with a scrub before shaving with an emollient shave cream then finish with hydrating non comedogenic lotion with sunscreen and face the day with a soothing after shave.

The J Paul Skincare system is available online and in H-E-B stores in Texas.  This simple system of skincare is something that the whole family can use and is perfect for all ages - from teenager to retiree ready to golf or get on the road in an RV.

I've used the system this past week in place of my normal skincare and I love the clean feeling of the scrub, the hydrating shave cream, cool tingle of the after shave and spf 20 lotion!

Need more info - watch this short video for a demonstration of the products!

Order your J Paul Skincare set for yourself and gift giving here:  http://www.jpaulskincare.com/

Find in your local H-E-B store here:   https://www.heb.com/store-locations

Now, if you are curious why I'm shaving - it's because the super micro milled high pigment foundations of today show every teeny tiny hair. It's been a long time makeup artist secret to shave the face first before applying makeup because it makes foundation, creams, liquids and powders wear better and longer!  So ladies - consider a shave!

Now stay tuned to next week because I have a post coming up about the most ingenious gotta have gift giving multi purpose tool for the traveler - ever - by J Paul Skincare!

101 DiY Masks by Jennifer McCartney - 2.0

Hi ya Gorgeous,

How about those days of awe? Whoa! It's so good! I'm so grateful for the celebration and great grace!

Today I am sharing another diy recipe test from a book I recently received, called 101 Diy Masks by Jennifer McCartney. It has a strong focus on how to create your own bespoke reusable sheet mask and I've got to say that I'm loving!  I've been liking this book so much and playing with the recipes on myself that I have created another post and video from the book.

I encourage you to use what ever ingredients you have at home and then add a few items to your normal shopping list.

I recommend picking up the muslin cloth or simple cotton dishtowel to make your bespoke sheet mask for yourself or a gift! I got mine at Walmart and it was .97 cents!

Enjoy the 2.0 of 101 Diy Masks!

Wine Wednesday - Meet BOLLA Chianti

 Hi ya Gorgeous!

Guess what day it is? Right! It's Wine Wednesday! I found this wine somewhere sideways in a Safeway. Personal note, when I say chianti, all I can see and say in my mind is the scene from the movie Silence of the Lambs where Hannibal Lector says "ate his liver with a nice chianti and fava beans" . True story!

My regularly scheduled Walmart $10 and under wine reviews will resume shortly. In the mean time enjoy this Bolla Chianti - it's right at the $10 mark! If you have a recommendation for a great wine $10 and under, please comment!

Never Forget - September 11, 2001

Hi ya Gorgeous,
Today is a day of remembrance and reflection.
Thank you to the service of every first responder who reacted to the situation as it unfolded. Thank you to every police officer and military personnel who served in the aftermath.

As we remember those who lost their life, it's also important to remember the survivors. The children whose teachers ran with them to safety as the crash was happening. They survived. The citizens and city of New York who survived and committed to rebuilding the great city.

Today, it's important in the United States to take a moment, no matter what your beliefs are and honor those who lost life and those who clung to it.

I will never forget. I was in Hawaii. Part work. Part vacation. All awesome. I was at a Tony Robbin's event. I woke up like the other days - ready to enjoy paradise and a long, long day of learning. The air was different. People were different. Crying. So much crying. When I got out of the elevator at the resort I saw all of the tv's were showing the same loop of the planes hitting the towers.  People were standing in front of the screens, looking up, tears streaming down and it was part sadness, part anger, all confusion.

The day started on time but the program had dramatically shifted. Things changed that day and will never go back. That's why it's important to remember. To tell and retell the story so that it doesn't fade from memory.  I know people who remember everything about where they were when President Kennedy was shot. I feel like that. I remember every detail, down to the peach button up shirt and blue jeans with top sider shoes I was wearing that day. Black Betty Page styled hair down, creamy red lipstick on - no lashes, too long a day.

I remember every thing about the moment I found out and the day and following days later. How flying home to Arizona from Hawaii afterwards was all military presence in the airport and everything, including me, was scanned and prodded - every inch, nook and cranny for any trace of mayhem or bad intention.

I encourage you, to take a moment, say a prayer of grace for the fallen, of thanks for the survivors and strength for yourself going forward.

Monday Meet'n'Greet with Obagi, Perricone MD & MyChelle

Hi ya Gorgeous!

Happy Monday! I think I say it every week, I love Monday! I get a week's worth of work, writing, creating done in a Monday! Then, the rest of the week is about fleshing out the details of what I designed and planned on a Monday. Love it.

So, it's September. Arizona had 2 cool days and now we are right back over the 100 degree mark. Touche' Mother Nature.  It is also the amazing harvest season and new year celebration for Rosh Hashanah. Basically, my family started gettin' the shindiggery goin' on and now we shall keep it up for the next 2 weeks!

In fact, we just went to our first wine grape stomp in honor of this new era, new season, new year and new month being a time of new wine. Amen!

Now, today in the blog world - I have what I call a "meet'n'greet" of products. I recently had a laser facial and I wanted to upgrade my skincare. So I got some Obagi. Then Influenster sent Perricone MD and I had ordered more MyChelle too!

Overall, I really like all the product lines. I love my tingly Obagi serum yet the Perricone MD is a silky hydrating layer of comfort. Then the weird thing that happened with the order from Amazon of MyChelle. I order that line a lot off of Amazon and have never had a problem til now!

All is revealed in the video.  Enjoy it. Share it. Going forward - may your new year be fruitful and blessed!

Happy Labor Day to You and Yours!

 Hi ya Gorgeous

Well, here we are. It's here. It's official. For the United States, Labor Day means that Fall, and real life is back on track. The summer oblivion and joie de vivre carefree zestful days of no schedule and no school are officially over.

True, here in Arizona, we have been in school for over a month and professionally for me, I go back to work when my son goes back to school. In fact, I am using this day, to stay in my pyjamas, and ooze from my bed to my lazy boy chair and lay there like over cooked broccoli for the entire day binging on any and all shows and movies that I want to see. Why? Because as of September 4th - my work and production schedule goes full tilt! Like Tilt-a-Whirl at the county fair kind of tilt.

I'm not complaining by any means! I am ecstatic about the upcoming celebrations for Rosh Hashana! So so so looking forward to all of the mega commutes full of new audio books and the commute from here to Burbank and back, and back, and back again!

So knowing that is coming, I am taking today - to rest- really really really deep in my bones rest to the point of boredom at the end of the day. Because when I awake on Tuesday morning, it's go time. Supersonic go and I'm ready for it!

How are you and your family spending the Labor Day weekend?  Here's a touch of history about the holiday. Which started out as an opportunity to celebrate the work and progress of the country and has quickly spiraled into a political pandering point mess.

I say, enjoy yourself, rest. Enjoy your loved ones - the family, friends and fur family on this day. Take a deep breath and enjoy the day because not only has Fall officially started ...so has the countdown to Christmas.  113 days to be exact!

Wikipedia facts on Labor Day:
Labor Day in the United States is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of the country.

Changing Seasons? - Change Skincare! Meet MyChelle Fantastic Four Hyaluronic Hydrating System

Hi ya Gorgeous!
Welcome to your Labor Day Weekend! This year - we have forgone the usual road warrior trippin' across the country from here to there for memory making and instead have opted for several smaller and perhaps more meaningful adventures. There were also some obligations here at home that could have been missed, though it definitely is  better to have stayed home and made them.

So it gives me a very rare moment - to be home alone - with not what I would call time to spare, more like, time to do what I want with. I have had a pet project in edit/production/writing/mode for months now and I'm going to take my time and work/play on it!

I also have time to play with some new blog samples that just arrived and not a moment too late! I'm here to speak the truth that yes, it's true, here in the desert of Arizona it has finally nudged under the 100 degree temperature mark making it almost feel Fall like. Almost.

I'm sure you know this and just in case you do not - when the seasons of weather change - it's time to change your skincare too. Why? Because different weather brings different needs! In the summer, I switch to an acne care line with a stringent cleanser to clean the layers of sweat, desert, chlorine and sunscreen off my skin. In the winter, my dry skin needs triple the moisture I need in the summer, so my cleanser switches to an oily based cream wash.

Today I'm introducing you to what I just met - these samples of the Fantastic Four Hyaluronic Hydrating System.

You are about to see the MyChelle Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Cream, Ultra Hyaluronic Beauty Mist, Ultra Hyaluronic Water Mask, and Bio-Firm Hydrogel Concentrate.

There is a mondo gondo Labor Day Sale going on right now - 25% off from the MyChelle.com website or, I get mine on Amazon because of the free shipping and one click doo dah hassle free ordering.

Now - I can sum up all of these products in one simple word, calming/soothing/hydrating/effective.
That's a word, right?

The weather is finally changing - even here in Arizona - the early mornings are actually, cool. Just a bit! So with the changing season comes the need to change your skincare routine up a bit. I will be moving from a strong and stringent cleanser to a foamy cream cleanser for the winter. If it ever gets to Arizona.
So today I want to introduce you to the new "Fab Four" from MyChelle Dermaceuticals. I received these samples for an honest review and honestly, I like 'em! Find more on the blog. MyChelle is available at retailers nationwide, online and at Amazon https://amzn.to/2wB2xai
