Nicole Richie's Wedding Hair and Makeup Look

Not everyone can say they had an elephant at their wedding, well, unless you're Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. But all large, gray animals aside, we loved her big day beauty look. Learn how to recreate it with our tips.

Hello gorgeous! Here's a sweet picture of the newly engaged Prince William and Kate Middleton. I did a simple Kate makeup look using the Luminess Air brush makeup system.

I used the foundation, blush, highlighter, and shadows from Luminess Air for the look, but added my own eyeliner, mascara and finishing powder.

I read that Queen Latifah gave the soon to be lady in waiting a bit of advice and that is "to find peace" because from here on out everyone is going to be watching. Nice of Queen Latifah to share don't you think?

A Kate Middleton bride to be makeup tutorial with Borghese

How to Ditch the Side Effects of Stress

See how stress affects your skin and learn how to reverse the damage

How to Ditch the Side Effects of Stress

This is a TotalBeauty.com stress and women article

According to New York City dermatologist David Goldberg, MD, when a person becomes stressed, the hormone cortisol rises causing skin to become oily, red and aged. So what can you do about it? Check out these easy lifestyle tricks that'll keep you looking good no matter what your stress level.

De-stress

Hello Gorgeous! Kate Middleton is getting married in a few hours!

Here is a short photo tutorial of a simple bridal look for going from commoner at one moment to
a royal princess in the other!
I'm using primarily all Borghese products in the photos.
The foundation is a mineral powder called Milano in Light by Borghese.

Next I apply my brows with Sophia by Brow Diva.
Then it's onto eyes with Borghese Amalfi Coastal Plums.
The colors are rich and wear really well-plus take great pictures!

The lightest shade in the center is all over the eye and on the brow bone.
Then the right shade, which is a taupe tone is all over the lid and I contour with the left shade which is the darkest.

I'm using my own brushes which are a mix of Smashbox, Arbonne and of course, Brow Diva!

Now, I do not know who is doing Kate Middleton's makeup and hair for the wedding. Let alone what products are being applied-but I'm sure all of the details will come out tomorrow after the ceremony!

Now here is the kicker! I'm using the Milani eyeliner in purple to bring out my green eyes. Kate's eyes look like a sparkly green/blue hazel, soa
purple shade will make them appear more so!

I'm finishing my face with simple blush contouring using Borghese Blush Milano in Rosa Billante.
Of course, I have dusted my face with Makeup Forever HD powder to set everything.
Now if I was truly walking down the aisle at this moment I would reset my makeup with Skindinavia heat proof makeup spray.

I line my lips with a nude liner, and then finish the entire look with Borghese B Moisture lipstick in Pinkissima.
In my opinion, you can never have enough shades of pink lipstick or lipgloss.
The photo you don't see is I have applied a set of false lashes and sealed it with L'Oreal Voluminous
mascara.
So there it is ! The look of or possibly, a bride to be going from commoner to royal in a day!
It reminds me of the Bible story of a nation, Israel, being built in a day! Miracles really do happen! All the time!
Now, the real question is-now that I have all this makeup on-and I pick up Mancub from school...what to do and wear to go?
Enjoy the royal wedding coverage. There is a link at
bottom of this post. It starts at 3 a.m. in the United States. I'm not staying up or getting up for it-but plan to catch it once the coffee is ready at 6.
If you have created your own Kate Middleton bride to be makeup look-share the link to your pics!

Hello Gorgeous! April 29th, is mere days away! For sure Prince William and Kate Middleton have their wedding day flower arrangments confirmed-but what
about you dear bride and your upcoming wedding?
Enjoy the advice below from Kenji on how to make the
most of your wedding day flower budget!

Kenji Takenaka, floral artist and master designer of Noir Hanna International, a premiere, world class floral design company in New York. Please find a few of Kenji’s tips listed below that couples should take into consideration before meeting with their florist.

Timeline
Book the florist at least 6 months prior to the wedding date. Couples want be certain to book their florist of choice, especially if the selected date is a popular one. Waiting too long may result in losing the first option.

Choosing the right size
There are many factors to take into consideration when determining the right-sized floral table arrangement for the wedding. Couples should consider the look of the venue, spacing, table setup and linens, to name a few. “Bigger is better” may not apply for a particular venue. Although flowers are a great focal piece for any wedding, floral centerpieces should fit the overall look.

Season-friendly=Budget-friendly
Ask the florist what flowers are in season around the wedding date to conserve costs. Requesting certain flowers off-season can take the budget to a higher than anticipated number. Flowers that are in-season will cut costs significantly, without having to compromise the overall look of the centerpiece and end product, keeping the couple happy.

Listen to the expert
Take a step back and leave it to the expert. Trusting the florist is imperative to achieving the best look for the wedding. Micromanaging can limit the vision of the florist. The florist has been hired based on the couple’s taste, now it’s time to give the initial vision and leave it in the florists’ hands.

Reuse flower arrangements
When deciding on ceremony floral arrangements, why not consider arrangements you can reuse for the reception? Don’t let the stunning ceremony arrangements go to waste. Arrange for your ceremony flowers to be moved to the bar for décor.

Meet Kenji Takenaka
Under the artistic direction of Kenji, Noir Hanna has a flourishing clientele of high-profile institutions, celebrities and the fashion industry. Noir Hanna remains on the cutting edge of floral design with Kenji’s relentless quest for fresh new ideas that are always executed to his highest standards of quality. Kenji takes an architectural approach to flowers: modern and minimal. He is one of the pioneers of the fuss-free floral look. Known for his minimalist style, Kenji often makes arrangements with masses of a single type of flower and color.

Kenji’s green thumb stems from a long family history in Japan. A fourth generation florist, Kenji has lived with flowers all his life. For more than 100 years, the Takenaka Teienryokka Company has been committed to keeping the value that has established itself as a legend in the floral industry.

With more than 20 branches and dozens of floral boutiques throughout the major cities of Japan, the Takenaka Teienryokka Company is the country’s leading floral provider. While this family-run business embraces both their past while always striving for the future, such aspirations do not come without leadership.

In 2009, the Takenaka Teienryokka Company was ushered into the American market with the opening of Noir Hanna International in New York City. With his high level of creativity and technique; Kenji is poised to introduce his family’s philosophy and Japanese style to the American public. The Noir Hanna International brand is now paving a new road in the American floral market – and starting some new traditions of its own along the way.

11 Copy-Worthy Natural Hair and Makeup Looks

This is a TotalBeauty.com natural makeup article

While achieving the ever-elusive natural, no-makeup makeup look seen on celebs takes a bit more effort than rolling out of bed, it does take a heck of a lot less time and effort than a smoky eye or perfecting bold red lips when done correctly.

Hello dear Gorgeous!
Did you need help getting together products for a simple and affordable Catherine 'Kate' Middleton royal wedding look?

Or maybe you follow Dancing With The Stars like me ( go Chris Jericho! Swing it Kirstie!)

Here I am applying the mineral powder foundation
from Borghese called Powder Milano. It has spf 15!
I love the large angel orbs on my temple-it looks like one of the orbs is holding a teleprompter or a book?
Now in the next photo I am throwing out the wee brush that comes with the blush. Oh! This coral blush is one of the best colors for the 2011 summer!
I prefer a large blush brush-but you use what you are comfortable and if you want to save the brush
for travel or emergency use, so be it!
Now, I like to make a comma shape: the tail is at the temple and I brush the color thicker until it makes a small round head on the apple of my cheek.
I'm getting ready to put my eyeshadow on in a simple, wedding-all be it 'royal wedding'
styled easy eye shadow. I'm using the Borghese
Puccini Plum trio-which is rich in tone and texture-
there are some disposable/travel like tools included in the trio, but I prefer my own brushes.
I'm using the lightest color on my brow bone and along the tear duct area.
Then I use the blue tone on the center of my eyelid along the lash line but no further than the
crease. Finally, that gorgeous purple I run all along the crease and make a diamond shape on the edge of my eye.
In the corner of the eye, I create depth and then run the purple brush load along the lower lash line in a smudgy mark.
I am not wearing an eyeliner in the pictures or video, but to complete the look for a more dramatic effect apply a black, grey or deep purple line in a cat eye fashion on the top and slightly on the bottom.

Finally, I apply the Borghese mascara. Now, as a side note-I am a mascara lover and this is a nice mascara. Yet, alas-I am a die hard fan of L'Oreal Voluminous and that is what you see in the final photos and video.
If you are getting ready for the wedding-consider a water resistant or water proof mascara?

Finally-I finish the whole look with this neat lipstick
from Borghese called "Duale" which is a spf filled lip conditioner with a center made of lip color!
I love it! The perle effect is softening, and it wears really well.
I'm wearing the Borghese Duale in Perle Nudo.

Fantastic! Enjoy this simple Borghese created Kate Middleton Royal Wedding look-or, save it for a Mother's Day brunch!

Hey Gorgeous and Royal Wedding Watchers!
Talk about fun, fun, fun!
Borghese sent some of their amazing Italian cosmetics to the blog for sampling and I'm busy having fun creating looks for the upcoming royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Not to mention, any of these colors from Borghese could do a Mother's Day brunch justice!
In the video, I'm wearing:
Borghese Powder Milano mineral makeup with spf 15 in Light
Borghese blush in Coral Elettrico
Borghese eye trio in Puccini Plum
Borghese Perla Duale lipcolor in Perla Nudo

plus...I have Sophia from Brow Diva in my brows and my mascara is actually L'Oreal Voluminous though Borghese sent a black mascara. It's nice, just not a big cow flossy lash look like I prefer.

Enjoy the videos!

Happy Resurrection Day! Happy Easter!

Hello-today is one of my most favorite days of the year. Today is Easter!
The celebration is about Jesus Christ being risen from the dead. He conquered the cross for me and you.
I love it!
Today, I'm at church, and brunch, and egg hunts and in general celebrating with my family and having fun
because I can. I'm saved by the grace of God!
He is so good! If you don't know Jesus, it's time to get to know Him because you are worth it! You know how I know? Because over 2000 years ago, Jesus thought you were worth it and went to the cross and died for you and your sins. That's why.
I pray you have an awesome day celebrating the resurrection!

Yes, I have freckles or age spots or sun spots on my eyelids. It always amazes the dermatologist that I do-but then again, when you spend the vast majority of waking years in the sunbelt-it's what happens! I post this pic to compare to the first one a full week ago to demonstrate the difference in the lashes. Daily I apply the Envyderm serum along my upper lashes and I take a moment to massage into the lashline with my ring finger. So, what do you think? Do you see a difference? I do! Plus when I put my mascara on there is definately a longer length and slightly thicker effect to my eyelashes. It's worth a try for you! Find more information at http://www.envyderm.com
