I'm a huge fan of the Julie Andrews version of The Sound of Music, though, being a Carrie Underwood fan I am ready to watch with an open mind to the LIVE television production tonight.

Kudos to Carrie Underwood for taking on the iconic role of Maria Von Trapp-knowing, that there could never be anything that could ever hold a candle to the Julie Andrews version, I'm watching to see how she makes the role her own and how she phrases the songs. I think, it's going to be amazing and I'm ready to watch her shine!

Now, I think the most perfect Maria Von Trapp- a 'la Sound of Music manicure would be Duri Sheer Bluff or Naked Truth? Which do you think is more Maria?

It's the final night of Hanukkah, it's so special and my family has many fun activities planned to close out one celebration and open up another.

We will light our Hanukkiah for the last time tonight, while also setting up and decorating the Christmas tree and stockings on the mantle. It's so much fun! We do all of this with egg nog and while watching White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.

I have so many favorite Christmas movies and this year, something new is happening to an old favorite. Tomorrow night, in a LIVE, ( holy smokes that Carrie Underwood is brave!) television production, The Sound of Music will be broadcast with a new Maria Von Trapp in none other than fave country music singer Carrie Underwood.

I know she can't compete with what Julie Andrews did, but, I'm excited to see what she brings to the music. It's going to be good!
