I have seen the new movie "The Wolverine". Hmm. I do appreciate the physical transformation that actor Hugh Jackman had to go through for the character.
The movie is described as:
The Wolverine is a 2013 American-Australian superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Wolverine. It is the sixth installment in the X-Men film series and follows the events of X-Men: The Last Stand.
My own personal experience: it's a bit long and bloated. It's not bad, but it could have been better if it had been a wee tad shorter and did not have a huge F-bomb in it. I'm a fan of the character, though this movie drug on a bit and though it had some great action scenes, I lost interest towards the end when the movie is trying to climax.
So, if you are going, be sure and see the matinee, or wait for the Red Box.
Now-let's talk about Wolverine's "body guard" from the movie played by
Rila Fukushima in the role of Yukio from the comic book series.

Here's a bit of an interview excerpt with Rila on her character Yukio's look:
In the comics Yukio has a different look and black hair, but your character has a new style and unique hair color. How is that a reflection of her personality?
“I think her personality…. She’s very strong and independent and a fighter, but I think… The comic book was written in the seventies, right? Like eighties… So I guess they are trying to bring the character into the modern times. So I was actually surprised about it. Trust me, I had long black hair and I was ready, because I read the comics, you know? So I was like ‘Really?’ I think it works. It’s great.”
