Hi ya Gorgeous!
This recipe puts a healthy spin on a childhood favorite, peanut butter cups. I replaced peanut butter with raw almond butter and mixed in ALOHA Daily Good Chocolate for added nutrients. These sweets are great to eat any time of year, but adding edible flowers to the top, makes them particularly spring-esque.
Makes 15
Total time: 35 minutes
Ingredients
12-ounce bag dark chocolate chips or ALOHA Superfood Chocolate (Original Dark), chopped
1 packet ALOHA Daily Good Chocolate
1/2 cup crunchy almond butter
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Edible flowers (optional)
1 cup water
12 one-inch silicone baking cups
Preparation
1. Mix almond butter, maple syrup, and ALOHA Daily Good Chocolate until well blended. Set aside.
2. Fill a small saucepan with water and place a glass bowl on top of the sauce pan
3. On a half-size baking tray, lay out your silicone baking cups. Set aside.
4. Fill the glass bowl with the chocolate chips.
5. Over low heat, bring the water to simmer, gently melting the chocolate, making sure to constantly stir.
6. With a small spoon, place a dab of melted chocolate at the bottom of your baking cup.
7. Use a chopstick or toothpick to spread out the chocolate on the bottom so it doesn't sit too high in the baking cup.
8. Place the baking cups with the chocolate in the fridge for a few minutes to chill.
9. Take one teaspoon of almond butter and roll into a flattened ball. Repeat this 12 times.
10. Place the rolled almond butter into the silicone cups centered on top of the chocolate drops.
11. Fill a gallon-sized Ziploc bag with the remainder of the chocolate and when ready to fill the chocolate cups, snip a small corner (about 1/8 inch) off one of the corners.
12. Fill the chocolate cups, making sure to cover the almond butter completely with chocolate.
13. Tap the sides of the baking sheet to level out the melted chocolate, creating a smooth, even surface.
14. Place an edible flower on top of each chocolate cup.
15. Place the chocolate cups in the fridge to set for about ten minutes or until chocolate is firm.

Summer is here! Here at Makeup University that means outdoor
fun with swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, running and biking!
All of that outdoors activity means a lot of sun exposure
and to keep my skin looking summer glow gorgeous and not red sunburn or even
worse a peeling sunburn, is I include a sunscreen, hat and shades in every
activity!
Here are the few ways to protect yourself and keep a healthy
glow about you!
1.
Sunscreen: I recommend a 50 though get something
on, even if it’s just a 15! This allows you to play and have fun in the sun
while also letting any desire for tanning to build slowly.
2.
Hat: I wear a visor most days to provide a
protective barrier on my face and it’s better for sports. If I’m at the beach
or lounging by the pool I switch to a big floppy hat for style!
3.
Sunglasses. I have several pair and find
sunglasses to be a fast style fix for any summer outfit and the benefit goes
two ways. First, you shield your eyes from the sun’s glare and second you
protect the delicate eye skin with a barrier from the glasses.
4.
Pamper your skin and do an exfoliating mask at
least once a week to help remove any build up on the skin from wearing
sunscreens and sweating. I like Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel!
You can get your summer glow on by playful activities in the
sun while gradually building a natural tan and with the exercise getting your
blood pumping you’ll have a nice flush to your cheeks.
Now that is how you get your glow on, on the outside. Here is how you get your glow on, from the inside!
It's no secret that healthy eating and great ingredients will grow our bodies whole and healthy from the inside out.
But it doesn't have to be all kale shakes! How about a great healthy Aloha treat for the family?
