Smashbox Smokebox for smokey prom eyes & spring break beach parties

 Hello Gorgeous!
Spring Break travel and prom nights are quickly heading our way! For me that means traveling for spring break and makeup gigs for prom.

I love the Smashbox Smokebox for traveling because I can get day/business/night/party looks in one palette and if you are doing your own prom makeup, this palette is worth the $39 at Ulta because it will give you your prom look as well as everyday occasions.

Here's a short video showing some of the shadow looks-note-my primer for the shadow in this video is a light violet creme eye shadow to hold the Smashbox Smokebox in place and provide a foot light behind the shadows.
Enjoy!

Hello Gorgeous!
It's October in Arizona! You know that means?
Everything! Finally the weather is under 100 degrees which means that many of us will be coming out of our air conditioned caves!

There are many amazing events going on right now -one such event is the Scottsdale Film Festival.
So why not put on some party makeup and head on out to see an international or independent film?
Lately, Hollywood only seems to be putting out remakes of remakes, another chapter in a sequel or prequel or another comic book movie. Don't get me wrong-I love a good action packed comic book character movie-but 4 in one summer? It's too much!

You can see in the photos that I am working through the new Smashbox Smokebox palette. It is as lovely as it looks! It's all the colors you need for a day time smokey eye or a night time smokey eye.
I also added lashes onto this look-which if you are going out to a film festival-why not glam it up a bit!
In these final photos you can see what the results look like-and I am going to give you a short step by step instruction, but you can also go to the how to
video on YouTube.
1. Put a light matte color on the brow bone
2. Put the shimmery color on your tear duct area and sweep it under the eye on the lower lashes. To make it vinyl looking-wet the brush and run through the corner of the shimmery shadow and and reapply.
3. Use the medium mushroom taupe color all over the lid-from the lash line to the crease of your eye.
4. Color the corner of you eye with the purple shade in a small triangle pattern and run it under the lower lashes so it mixes a bit with your shimmer.
5. Finish the eye with a small black contour stroke through the crease. Now line your eyes with black liner, do the waterline if you want and pop on lashes and mascara!
Enjoy seeing "Like Crazy" or "The Way" or "Women on the 6th Floor" and get your Smashbox Smokebox at Sephora!Remember: you are beautiful! Thank you for visiting the blog and check back for promotions and beauty giveaways!
