How to use Burt's Bees to create a natural makeup look in 2016

Hi ya Gorgeous,
I still have some form of what I suspect is the modern day bubonic plague. It must be such an epic strain of sickness to get me down. You see, I never get sick. Not the sniffles. Not a cold. Not the flu.  When every one else around me gets sick, I do not.

Until, this week. Holy moly. I made it through CES where the people I worked with and the people who attended the event were sick. Yet. I remained unscathed. Then my Dad went to a doctor appointment at the VA and came home with a cold. Or something plague'ish. He got it. My Mom got it. I got it. Now my Mancub has it.

Geez, it's like I'm living the movie Contagion. Alas, I digress.

So I received some samples from Burt's Bees and I'm a huge fan of the brand to begin with but these 2 new products are absolutely amazing. Overall, they are awesome. The fact that the BB Creme is 98.9% natural is one more reason to love this brand.

Going forward, the spring 2016 look is going to be natural with touches of gilded golds and bronze colors. So these products from Burt's Bees will help you get your best spring break beauty on!

Hey Gorgeous! Please check yesterday's blog post with a funny yet important video about the importance of helping bees get healthy habitats so the crucial pollination needed for native plants to thrive can take place! Today-I share with you the Burt's Bees lip tint-I have 3 colors; a plum, a cherry red and a light pink. The plum is my favorite because it makes a berry tone stain on my lips yet is moisturizing and smooth feeling. My experience is that it wears on the lip for quite some time! Plus it has just enough color to look 'made up' for a busy summer day but not too much as too look over done. You can get your favorite Burt's Bees products and cosmetics just about any where; like the Walmart, Target, CVS and Sprouts! These lip tints are just about $5-worth it for your summer beauty and travel to beach side locations! Enjoy! Remember: you are beautiful! Nicole Kidman's Stick Straight Hair vs. a Voluminous Blowout -- Which Do You Prefer?

The A-list actress traded in her usual straight hair for some voluminous waves. Do you like it?

Nicole Kidman's Stick Straight Hair vs. a Voluminous Blowout -- Which Do You Prefer?

New mommy Nicole was sporting a trendy "voluminous blow out" -- meaning that her hair was lifted at the roots and locked into place. Prefer it over her sleeker look at last year's "Nine" premiere?

Weigh in

Well hello gorgeous!

I continue the snowboard trip saga here in snowy, yes, snowy Flagstaff. Ok, now there seems to be a bit too much snow. Cie la vie says me!

I will post photos soon-because I am testing

several products here in the high altitude such as the Maybelline waterproof mascara-to see how it holds up under snowboarding. Also, the rice oil face cleanser-lets see how it does with sun/wind/snow chapped skin! And, these new tinted lip balms from Burts Bees.

They are bigger than the old version and so far, wear superior to the old version. If you tried those you know what I am talking about-the product would slide on your slips and then form big sticky protusions that could only be brushed off with a tooth brush.

This Burts Bees tinted lip balm is more like a colored conditioner. The color is very very light. In fact, in the photo I am wearing the deep red tone and it doesn't look much different than my natural lip color. I tested two tones: the Red Dahlia and Honeysuckle. Both feel great, but neither leave a lasting tint to the lip. So, as for a gal who likes a bold color-it doesn't give that. But, if you are a gal who prefers a very natural look, this is the product for you. It has spf, feels good on the lips and adds moisture. You can get them at any mass retailer or natural food store and they are just $5.99. Enjoy!
