Welcome to your Labor Day Weekend! This year - we have forgone the usual road warrior trippin' across the country from here to there for memory making and instead have opted for several smaller and perhaps more meaningful adventures. In the summer, I switch to an acne care line with a stringent cleanser to clean the layers of sweat, desert, chlorine and sunscreen off my skin. In the winter, my dry skin needs triple the moisture I need in the summer, so my cleanser switches to an oily based cream wash.

Teen Choice Awards: and Derma|e skincare!

I love Mondays. I get so much accomplished.

Now, who watched the Teen Choice Awards last night?

 Brittney Spears won a fashion award and I don't agree with it. From one Mom to another; Brittney put your private parts in a private place.
I don't agree with her look because millions of young women were watching and now that they see she wins an award for lewd and vulgar dress, they too, will copy her style.


Meanwhile, another young lady chose to wear a gorgeous dress with color, texture, a bit of sparkle and a whole lot of style. I'm loving Nina Dobrev and her look in this modest is hottest dress! Go Nina!

Happy Groundhog Day! Will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow today amdist the polar vortex?

Today there is the Super Bowl, the PGA WM  Tournament in Scottsdale and of course, Groundhog Day!

I love this movie with Bill Murray and Punxsutawney Phil. If you haven't seen it you should. It's laugh out loud funny as we watch Bill's character get to relive the same day over and over until he gets it right. If only!

Sunday morning Phil has predicted six more weeks of winter, much to the disappointment of the crowd at Gobbler's Knob in Pennsylvania.


According to folklore, if it's cloudy when the groundhog emerges, the critter will leave his burrow, signifying that winter will soon end. If it's a sunny day, Phil will supposedly see his shadow and, frightened, retreat back into his burrow, and winter will continue for six more weeks.
