Hello Gorgeous!
How is your spring break going? Arizona is back in-or at least the Mesa schools are.
I was cleaning out my storage over the weekend and came across this old video-I mean, real old since my son is not even a year in the video and now he will be turning 7!

I did several beauty segments and beauty series for Good Evening Arizona and Good Morning Arizona which is Channel 3 in Arizona years ago. It was fun to discover this vintage gem I had forgotten about.

The makeup lesson is still as valuable today as it was then. A new mom is too busy for a full face of makeup but if you keep it through the center you will be fresh and pretty, and good to go!

Enjoy the video and special thanks to my model Chastity Reed.

Hello my mom friends!
Todays beauty bubble is really good and worth a click over, but before you go, may I share a few things from what I learned as being a single mom: precision isn't necessary for pretty.

Somewhere, I have that newschannel segment of me doing the 5 minute mommy makeup on tv, if I can find it I will post it for you.

Though here is the secret:
Hydration and moisturization will do more for your beauty than perfect makeup. So keep drinking lots of water and applying moisturizer.

Next: tinted moisturizer is the way to go for your daytime makeup, simply make your own by putting one pump of your day spf lotion with one pump of whatever liquid makeup you use.

Follow this with bronzer applied with a large domed brush and loosely dusted all over your face, think everywhere that you would get a sunburn! That's where you put bronzer!

Mascara is my favorite beauty product of all time: at least run one swipe through the center of your lashes and if you have the time and wherewithall ( is this a word or an expression?) to do the inside and outer corners, well good on you honey!

Finally, some form of tinted gloss. If you can get a gloss that has a high pigment load so it wears longer and with more hue like a lipstick even better. If not, just get some shine on your lips plus some moisture!

That my loves is one quick mommy look that you can do with a baby on your hip while balancing a sippy cup with your chin and answering a call on speaker phone. I did it, and so can you.

Love ya!

Hello gorgeous friends! Today on Oprah she has former First Lady Laura Bush chatting about several important things but what caught my eye and always has, is her signature style and lipstick color. If you look up photos of the former Mrs. President; Laura Bush always leans towards a red brick/ red brown tone of lipstick and it serves her well! The photos that I researched of her always have a simple "looks like a long Dorothy Hamill" haircut to me, great skin, eyeliner in grey/brown, a rosy cheek some mascara and of course, that reddish/brown toned lipstick.

Now if I was to do her makeup, I think I would mix it up with: bronzer all over, wee bit of creme gold on the center of the lids, dark green/brown liner with some smudge area under the bottom lashes, 2 thick coats of mascara and a nude lip liner filled int with nude/gold flecked gloss. It would be a warmer more carefree look for her and the hair I would do tousled waves. I could get started on some makeup ideas for the twins Jenna and Barbara but that's a whole other article, and that's just my opinion!

Now, onto Phyto-C. Yummy! I tried the tester sample I received of the serum twenty and it's so lovely! Light, readily absorbed into skin, no film, then I put my moisturizer and liquid makeup over it and no peely balls or streaks. Just a beautiful finish on the skin.

So I'll report back as I watch for signs of pigmentation to fade...alas, I do run in the sun daily so this product has it's work cut out for it!

Remember to enter to win for your chance to get your own Mother's Day set of Phyto-C serums! Comment away because you could be the one!

How to get your face on in 5 minutes

How to look fabulous even when you̢۪re pressed for time
Your Go-To Five-Minute Makeup Routine
Just because you only have five minutes to get ready in the morning doesn̢۪t mean you should run out the door looking like it. (Unless you̢۪re going for the bedhead, just-woke-up look. In that case, heave ho!) This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to get a gorgeous makeup look in under five minutes.

Hello gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by today! Before you click through the beauty bubble today for a "how to" on the five minute face, may I share mine with you?
1. All quick makeup is based upon great skin. So the first secret to getting ready fast is taking the time to prepare your skin with a daily cleansing and moisturizing routine.  Always wearing a sunscreen helps the anti-aging fight so make sure it's in your moisturizer and foundation. With that out of the way, first makeup step is to put foundation on all over, whether you prefer minerals, compacts, cremes or liquids but make sure to get it through the center of your face primarily and leave it thinner on the outer edges. ( this makes for less chance of a jawline streak since you are in a hurry to begin with)

2. Stain lips and cheeks! I'm so into Bloom Cosmetics right now with their lip marker in Cinnamon

3. Light toned bronzer all over the face in the places you get a sunburn, and include your eyelids!

4. Put a highlighter on the brow bone: creme or powder just add a light shimmer

5. Thick full swoop of mascara, like the new LashFood conditioning mascara

6. Finish with a Bloom lipbutter, or a Burt's Bees tinted stick, or Neutrogena Lip Sheers in spf 20
Since you stained your lips, now it's about adding moisture.

Enjoy your beautiful self on this glorious day! Now go peek at the beauty bubble and see what they say!
