3 Pretty Spring Beauty Trends You Must Try

This is a TotalBeauty.com beauty tips article

Spring is here and that means it's time for a fresh start. Not only will I be trading in sweaters for breezy dresses, but I'm also updating my beauty routine. Buh-bye thick face cream, sayonara wintery hues. This season I'm psyched to try these three trends.

See them

Good morning Gorgeous!

Oh Glory to God it is April! Easter is only a few short weeks away! And maybe your prom or wedding or birthday or, just name it is a few short weeks away!

Would you like to lighten your hair, or add subtle highlights at home for your special event without

the salon price? Give this product a try. It's not the Sun In brand of my youth, in fact it's a new formulation and has a nice effect as you can see in the pictures. Now I have dark hair and this product does not work for dark hair and I wasnt' even going to try it! But, for Mancub who has light hair, why not?

We applied 4 different times, on freshly shampoo'ed hair. I also applied heat by using a hair dryer to dry the product into the hair. The directions say that if after applying the Go Blonder spray you use a straightening iron on the hair the effect will be even lighter. Well, no need to do that to Mancub, a lovely golden blonde lighteness was achieved by simple spray and dry.

The effect is noticeable enough that the other soccer kids asked what gives with the hair? Now, the real test is in 2 weeks from now-does it grow out a root? More later! Enjoy this for your prom looks! Remember: you are beautiful! Thank you for visiting the blog and check back for promotions and beauty giveaways!

The Best Oscar Hairstyles Ever

This is a TotalBeauty.com hairstyles article

As the "Academy Awards" ceremony is arguably the most prominent awards show (broadcasting live in more than 200 countries), it makes sense celebrities spend the better half of the day primping themselves -- there's a whole lot of people judging their chignons … including us. See the looks we love to reminisce about.

Hello gorgeous! The Oscars were different this year, but one thing stayed the same-amazing beauty! Below is a short "how to" on getting Gwyneth Paltrow's simple chic look!
WHO: Gwyneth Paltrow
WHAT: A chic, sleek red carpet look

WHEN: February 27, 2011

WHERE: The Academy Awards, The Kodak Theatre
THE LOOK: Sleek, straight, and simple.
HOW: Harry Josh, John Frieda International Creative Consultant, worked with Gwyneth to find a hairstyle that expressed her classic, elegant red carpet style.

THE INSPIRATION: “Gwyneth was my inspiration. She never tries to impress and her sophistication comes from within--a hairstyle shouldn't overshadow that. She's always had impeccably chic personal style and I wanted her hair to reflect that on the Red Carpet.” – Harry Josh
HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

Harry started with the new John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3-Day Straight (an at-home alternative to salon straightening treatments) because he wanted to give Gwyneth super smooth, shiny hair that would stay straight all night long.

Harry began blowing out her hair with a Mason Pearson brush, carefully straightening each section at a time. Next, he went over each piece with a comb and a flat iron, ensuring every hair stayed sleek.

Harry gave her a center part and combed down all stray hairs and flyaways with the new John Frieda Full Repair Flyaway Tamer, a great on-the-go styling tool that's a must-have for any red carpet. Small enough to stash in a clutch, the mascara-like wand fixes any wild hair in seconds.

Let's hear from you! and..the workshop schedule

Hello and happy Wednesday!
Okay, first things first: I want to hear from you about what you want to learn about? Is it more technique?
Do you need more photos? What products are you most curious about and want real use information on and freebie give aways?
I'm doing a wee bit of overhauling and getting ready for the new season and I want to include what matters to you most.
So write me!

Second, the Makeup University home page has a link for current workshop schedule. I'm still available to do workshops for you at your event, but, I will also be teaching in the mornings here in Mesa. So check it out and see if something meets your needs for beauty coaching!

Finally, yes, the Back to School bonanza is still in the works, and will be coming out shortly, beginning next week. Stay tuned!

In the mean time, how to deal with frizzy humidity hair: try John Frieda's "OVERNIGHT" hair serum with a chamomile base for repair. It's awesome. It's a serum treatment that you put on your hair before bed, no need to braid it, just slather some on, then the next morning wash it off and experience the lovely lushness of your locks!
