Boscia Green Tea Blotting Papers: how to save summer face

Hi ya Gorgeous,
Over the Independence Day weekend I traveled with my family to our favorite destination, Legoland!
We visited all 3 parks in one day  due to time constraints.
I brought along my sample of Boscia Green Tea Blotting Sheets. Thank goodness!

These light, portable, absorbent sheets are perfect for blotting a sweaty, sunscreen covered face so a quick application of mineral foundation can be swirled on!

InstaYelp: for the times you need a BFF second opinion

HI ya Gorgeous!
Sometimes, you need a second opinion from your BFF on the outfit or look you have chosen for an event. But what to do when BFF isn't available?

InstaYelp! I could ask the InstaYelp community if they think this dress and boots is too much for sailing?

Leon Max and Max Studios: finishing summer fashion and back to school basics that are anything but basic!

 Hi ya Gorgeous!
Here I am enjoying the Getty Center in Los Angeles. Oh the joy of cloud cover! Although, in Arizona, it's been oddly cool. We are not having the normal high hundreds, in fact-we haven't even hit 100 in the past week. It's mid way through July!

And that brings me to my point, yes, here in Arizona, we are a few short weeks away from the offical BTS.
Back to School starts on August 3rd here. For us, the summer is almost over!

So I've got some BTS style ideas for you with some looks from Leon Max and Max Studios. This will help a gal go back to school in style and be wearing something fresh that the other co-eds won't have clued into yet.

And FYI, Makeup University readers get a 20 % discount when you use the code BLOG15 on the Max Studio website.

The 20% off is for full price merchandise only. Promotion ends August 1st, 2015.
Promotional code to be redeemed at www.maxstudio.com

Now let's see some Max Studio looks!

TGIF with National Pina Colada Day and Piper's Perfumery new Bohemian Beauty fragrance

 Hi ya Gorgeous!
Tgif!
It's National Pina Colada day! Who knew? When I was super young, I used to love those! Now they are too sweet for me!

Does anyone have a less sweet, lower calorie version of a pina colada they would like to share?

Ok, on a side note, these are 3 small vials that are hand crafted glass blown perfume vials from the early 900's.
Whoa. Thank you Getty for showing them.

Now, what's a new fragrance for the 2015's? Piper's Perfumery Bohemian Beauty.

This fresh scent with a clean, green drydown on the skin is just about $5 in the local Walmarts. You can freshen up your summer scent before we head back into the BTS season.

Yep. BTS. In Arizona, we go back to school on August 3rd. Sigh.
Get your new Piper's Perfumery scent now!

And then there is this info on the National day of sweet drink celebration!

Celebrate July 10 with a drink in hand, it is National Pina Colada Day.  The Pina Colada is a sweet, rum-based cocktail.  Along with the rum, it includes cream of coconut and pineapple juice and is unusually served blended or shaken with ice.
‘Pina Colada’ literally means ‘strained pineapple’,
a reference to the freshly pressed and strained pineapple juice used in the drink.
There are different claims to the invention of the Pina Colada beginning in 1952 in San Juan, each standing to their story.  The truth is that pineapple and rum have been together from the beginning of the distillation of rum.  The first written reference to a Pina Colada was in 1922.  This recipe however, did not include coconut.
