Hi ya Gorgeous!
Good morning to you! Wow. I saw half of the Oscars last night due to the anti-family stance of ABC to allow the show host to walk out in his underwear. That was not at accident, it was planned. It was in poor taste and shows how little ABC cares about artistry, the viewers, young filmmakers watching and morals in society.
It was the same on the red carpet. There were so many gaping cleavage baring gowns and crotch high slits that the red carpet was filled with bared breasts in the front, side boob and corner va-jay-jay.
Sigh.
I feel like I am the only woman, mom, person left who believes that modesty is the best policy. Not just for myself but for my son. I do not want him watching the parade of porn wardrobe on the red carpet thinking that's what ladies do; they work their sex for work.
When the host came out in his underwear we turned the tv off. I've seen enough.
There is a silver lining. Some stars showed flawless class and old Hollywood glamour when they wore striking gowns with modest necklines and gorgeous detailing.
Here are my favorites:
Emma Stone-in gilded grace-so beautiful!
Reese Witherspoon is my favorite for her grace, style, modesty and #AskHerMore campaign on Twitter and Instagram.
Rosamund Pike has been a favorite actress of mine since she was in Pride & Prejudice with Keira Knightley.
Finally, I'm not usually a big Gwynneth fan, but she got it right with this dress. Classic glamour!
I know these ladies had their professional makeup artists working for them, along with hairstylists and wardrobe stylists. But if it were me going and I was going to do a red carpet in the rain walk, I just may be wearing the new Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Serum foundation that matches skin tone!
What it is:
A serum foundation formulated with chameleon pigments, an innovative color-match technology that goes on white and instantly adjusts to match your unique and changing natural skintone as it balances and nourishes the skin.
What it does:
This is the only foundation you'll need year-round to provide age-defying undetectable coverage. The breakthrough serum foundation suspends over fine lines and wrinkles to smooth and correct visible signs of aging. The one-of-a-kind Organic Argan Oil infused formula strengthens and balances your skin while keeping oily areas shine-free, and dry spots naturally moisturized for totally flawless, younger looking skin.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan
What else you need to know:
This serum works with whatever range of coloring that you fall into, either light/medium or medium/dark. The foundation starts out white and then changes color to match to your skin.
I have the medium/dark sample of Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Serum, it's too dark for my skin tone and tends to match my freckles before matching the rest of my face. So it makes my whole face look dark and my freckles look like black spots.
I don't think this is a product problem. I think I have the wrong shade?
Either way, it feels amazing on the skin. I can't really say how well it wears or lasts because once I saw how dark brown my face was on top of my whitey pink neck I quickly washed it off.
I think it is worth a try, and visit Sephora to try it and get a sample to take home and use in your natural light. It's $42.00 for a 1 ounce size.
