Hello Gorgeous,
It's been quite the unique week in Las Vegas at the 2014 CES show. I took a break from all that busyness and took in an evening of entertainment at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in the form of the Penn & Teller show.
Just look at the stage marks...
As a former magician's assistant at Old Tucson Studios, I figured out some of the tricks. But I definitely don't know how they did the last one of the show. I can't say because it could be a spoiler for those of you who haven't gone to the show.
I find one of my favorite moments from the evening was enjoying the jazz music Penn was playing on the stand up base with pianist Mike Jones. Before the show starts there is a bit o' music played on stage and if you look close at the bassist, it's Penn!
Guests are invited to come on stage and sign an envelope that is used in the beginning of the show. Plus it gives an opportunity to check out the stage for any "hidden tricks" or tom foolery that could be part of the act. I didn't see anything, just the stage markers and I signed the envelope. I asked the lady next to me to take the picture. Obviously, she has had more wine than me.
This box that I am sitting in is used in the second half of the show. I did not see "the panel" but I know it is there somewhere!
Time for the show to begin! Just as Penn is announcing "no photography" during the show I snapped one more! It was a fun 90 minutes and I'm glad I went. It gave me a chance to get away from the constant din and barage of CES.
*Note, just in case you are wondering, that's a wee set of Eylure demi wispies, Laura Mercier Bronze 01, Eve Pearl HD foundation and butter LONDON Black Cherry lipstick, and I'm dripping in Killer Queen by Katy Perry.
Cheers to you enjoying a night of entertainment too!
Now-onto Barrett Jackson Scottsdale for the week
P.S. This post is officially blog post #2500! Whoa!
