No, not really. The music festival started in 2011 and was how radio went from am/fm to app based and on the go for mobile devices. We literally have watched a genre and technology that started in 1895 shift into the current century and thrive. I think I Heart Radio Festival saved radio and musicians from obscurity.
Personal opinion though. Here is what Wiki says:

The first-ever iHeartRadio Music Awards, which will air live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles
May 1 on NBC, also recognizes Best Fan Army. Lady Gaga's “Little
Monsters” are up against the “Rihanna Navy,” Taylor Swift's “Swifties,”
