Allure Beauty Box : yay or nay?

Hi ya Gorgeous!

Ok - I'm thinking - of trying a beauty box. I've done a beauty subscription before and didn't like it because I rarely received the things that I asked to try.

So the Ipsy glam bag wasn't for me - but - aybe the Allure Beauty Box through Amazon Prime is?

Have you tried this? Do you recommend it?  I do not want to spend $50 a month on a beauty box, the $15 is about right. $10 would be better though I've put in my subscription order and I am excited to see what shows up!

I'll unbox and review it when it arrives!

This link will help you sign up for your own Allure Beauty Box through Amazon Prime if you like!

3 All Time Favorite Christmas Movies - Which Do You Watch?

HI ya Gorgeous!

In the Vlogmas and Christmas traditions  category, which are your all time favorite movie to watch?

These are my top 3 movies that my family watches as part of our holiday celebrations! Cocoa for the cub and wine for me to sip on plus some garlic parmesan popcorn is how we settle in to watch!

1. White Christmas - and yes, I can sing this from start to finish with out the movie playing! When I watch this film, I know the season is in full swing! Have you seen White Christmas?

Watch now on Amazon:  https://amzn.to/38inokP

2.  National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation  - okay Moms, this is a bit irreverent and has a few cuss words in it. I didn't realize how salty the language can be until I put it on to watch with my young son and some adult context and cussing came on!

Watch now on Amazon Prime here:  https://amzn.to/2Lt1cur

3.   It's A Wonderful Life
And cue the tears and need for kleenex! This family classic movie never gets old!

If you haven't seen this yet, you have to watch it. There are so many powerful stories that are expertly crafted into a seamless weave by director Frank Capra.

And runner up Christmas classic that is a favorite for my family is Planes, Trains & Automobiles.
The story centers around Thanksgiving weekend but the story is timeless plus there are so many one liners and zingers in this film that it's a must watch! I love

Please comment what your favorite Christmas movies are and hope this finds you enjoying the warmth of the season!

Hanacure- The All-In-One Facial Set - Is It Worth It?

Hi ya Gorgeous,

This weekend is just about done. I'm prepping for a very busy week ahead. I don't know about you - but - me? I'm getting everything or as much as possible done between now and the 26th so I can take the Thanksgiving weekend off and rest, eat, turkey tryptophan nap, eat some more and then do some Black Friday shopping!

So all of that brings me to my normal Sunday spa night skin routine. Which means an intense mask to prep for the week ahead. I'm wearing a gel mask for super hydration but I'm thinking of trying Hanacure.

Have you heard of Hanacure? I have heard the hype. Seen a video with an old asian man doing the mask and in the reveal video he looks really good. So, should I buy it? I'm waiting for a Black Friday sale - and will do a review video of it - but before I even order and wait for the package to arrive (thanks one day shipping Amazon Prime)  - do I even spend the time clicking to order?

Let me know in the comments!

TGIF - What Will You Watch This Weekend?

Hi ya Gorgeous
Hello to a Friday post! Oh the weekend! Such sweet relief from the mega school commute.  Is it summer vacation yet?

I write today to ask you what will you and the fam be watching this weekend? So I have an invitation for you as well as a movie review for you today in this post.

First, if you are in the Tri-State area of Kingman/Bullhead City/ Needles/ Laughlin - come join me on March 28th for a sneak peek screening of Unplanned.  Oh this is going to tug some heart strings! It's a true story based on the life of Abby Johnson. She was once the rising star of Planned Parenthood until she saw what happens behind the curtain! It is a must see!

Unplanned film goes nationwide on March 29th - BUT - there are hundreds of sneak peek screenings happening nationwide, like mine, in Laughlin Nevada at the Riverside Resort and Casino Cinemas at 7 pm on  Thursday March 28th.  Come early at 6:30 pm for prayer in the theater before the screening starts.

To find a sneak peek screening near you - or, even to schedule a theater buyout and screen for your group, friends and family, find what you need here on the Unplanned film website.

Visit here for more info: https://www.unplannedfilm.com/

So that's what you are watching next week but what are you watching this week? Well, I have a review of the Christopher Robin movies. Yes, plural, movies as in more than one.

There is the new Disney version, Christopher Robin starring Ewan McGregor and then there is the more biographical film, Goodbye Christopher Robin film starring Margot Robbie, Domnhall Gleeson and Kelly Macdonald by Gasworks Media.

As a child, I loved Winnie the Pooh, and Tigger too! All the friends of the 100 acres woods were "friends" of mine and I loved the books and stories and shows. Oh such beautiful memories. If you too have children, it's possible that they have seen, heard or read Winnie the Pooh. So that's where the mix up comes in. Both of these films ar every adult in tone and nature. Sad. Depressing.  Nothing that you would show a child and think that they would find joy and delight in, like Winnie the Pooh himself.

Goodbye Christopher Robin deals with the life of the child growing up during the war and his father writing the stories and them becoming famous. As the film tells it, Winnie the Pooh's success made life very difficult for young Christopher Robin.

I did like the film, but it's not something that I would want my child to watch.

I did not know enough about the Disney version of Christopher Robin and when my son saw the avatar on Netflix, he of course wanted to watch. I said yes, expecting a fun silly kid movie about live action Pooh bear, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore and Tigger.

No. No not at all. It's a sad tale of a man overworking, ignoring the family and being absent in his life. 90 % of the film is sad and a harsh tale of life and then 10% in the very end is the rallying of adult Christopher Robin to his young daughter and wife with the help of the 100 acres wood gang of friends.

Just not family material.  Which brings me to close - next week's screening of Unplanned, is, family material. It's a chance to heal for those affected by abortion and find hope.  The film has an R rated, so please, bring your youth groups, young people and sit through the film and be available for discussion afterwards. You'll be glad you were the one to teach them about life instead of the world shaping their opinions for them!

See you at the movies!

Who Needs Road Trip Games For Entertainment? Goliath Games Got Whatcha Need!

Hi ya Gorgeous!
Oh July is half way over and the new school year is less than 2 weeks away! We aren't ready! We have 2 more road trips coming up, just lil jaunts and we want to savor every second of it before we get back into the grind of commuting to school again. Ugh!

I just received samples from Goliath Games of some fun family games that can be played on a road trip, in the RV and while at the camp site!  I'm interested in anything that will get my cub off of his device!

When the box arrived we tore it open to find some fun choices for entertainment and making a long road trip feel shorter.  There is a stretch of road on the 40 for us that feels like forever, even though it really is only 2 hours worth of driving.

Thank you Goliath Games for the samples which include from left to right in the photo, iTop, Flippn Chips, Magnetic Games, Charades for Kids and Color Smash.

All of these can be played on the road and are great for storing in the RV for times when you get to the campsite and want something to play at the picnic tables.

My son was most intrigued by the battery powered top and the chinese checkers aspects of the Magnetic Games which actually has multiple choices in the one blue box! He was saying that the charades was like Pictionary - to which I said, that charades came first! We haven't tried the Color Smash yet and we are saving for the beach next week!

You can find Goliath Games on Amazon here
