Besame "Mary Poppins" Lipstick & Interview

Hi ya Gorgeous!

Burbank California is home to the Disney studios on the corner of Buena Vista - and - home to the vintage beauty flagship store, Besame Cosmetics.

Owner and makeup historian, Gabriela Hernandez has a license with Disney to recreate the colors and looks of loved characters in Disney movies such as Mary Poppins.

The collection includes a lipstick shade that matches actress Julie Andrews lip color in the film as she played Mary Poppins. A matching compact in the Mary Poppins collection with a beautiful silhouette of the skyline from the movie is overlaid on the mirror. There is a lipstick and nail polish set in honor of Mrs. Banks in a light peach shimmer tone. This short interview is from a visit I paid to the Burbank store and a quick visit with Ms Gabriela herself!

The store is adhering to all covid safety protocols and practicing social distancing and high levels of sanitation. Masks are worn and ours were removed for taping only. It's a fun and beautiful destination to shop in this Burbank store.

There is a lovely coffee shop across the street and on the corner is a luncheonette with vegan options that you can dine safely outdoors at. Parking is on the street and one of the best things about Burbank, is that parking is free!

City wide, you can park on any streets and not have to pay a meter. Besame Cosmetics is located at: 3505 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505

Or, if you are not able to visit in person, you can shop online on

Monday - STORYTIME

 Hi Ya Gorgeous!
Thank you so much for tuning in today for a "storytime" video about last week's tour of southern California. Oh such good times.

We finally made it to a book store that I have been wanting to go to for quite some time! He bought some new military history books and I got some goodies too!

Oh the beach - such a good time being in the water.  I love open water swimming and think that there is just something healing about the ocean!

This video covers Unreal Engine, Orpheum Theater, SCAD, VR, scooters, The Last Bookstore LA, surfing, classic cars, and Burbank! Phew! Plus - should we do a giveaway?

Here is an Amazon affiliate link for the Biotin shampoo I mention: https://amzn.to/2H1DQtN

I am using this, I like this, but I do know that it removes my hair color. It says that it is color safe though on me, it seems to strip the color?

Mally Beauty and JustJudyHB - the musings of an actress

Hi ya Gorgeous!
Happy Tuesday! There is a large part of me that can hardly believe that the month is June.

So the weekend was very busy and productive and though I primarily worked on my tv series, Finding Chupa, I also squeezed in a few beauty blogger videos with some samples that MakeupUniversity recently received from Mally Beauty.

I had the pleasure of working with the multi talented actress, host and model, Judy Deaton. She plays Betty Bonfire in Finding Chupa, recounting the time at camp when she knows she encountered the chupacabra.

You can find out more about Finding Chupa at the Facebook page:
http://facebook.com/findingchupa

Today's video I am demonstrating some samples I received from Mally Beauty - when the PR originally reached out about Mallywood, they didn't have any samples so they sent me a mascara which I did not like and is covered in a previous video, then a highlight palette and concealer instead.

Finally, in sad news, today the wonderful, talented, mother, daughter, icon, fashion trend setter Kate Spade died today of suicide by hanging. This is heartbreaking.

There is always hope, even in the darkest of dark places. Please, if you are hurting - reach out now - don't wait - call now.
