Organic Male Sanitizer: for the Zipper and beyond

 Hello Gorgeous!
Happy Monday to you! Tonight is the Twitter party during Under the Dome for a free Vaseline Spray & Go moisturizer. Be sure and follow @Cherelynn then join in at 9 pm Arizona time ( MST)!

Now, this weekend was the county fair and we went to see the 4-H exhibits, eat some fried food and ride a few rides.

Enter, the Zipper. This is a classic fair ride and one that as a young girl in 4-H showing my lambs in the livestock exhibits at the fair, occupied much of my time in between livestock show judgings. This is my son, the Mancub and he saw the Zipper, and kept asking to ride it. I figured, why not?

In my humble opinion, all fair rides and amusement parks are a hot bed of germs and luckily I packed my sample of Organic Male Sanitizer with me. It's a generous size of 3.38 ounces and it will sanitize your hands with OM4's waterless natural hand sanitizer that is clinically proven effective against e. coli, pneumonia, and staph. A unique botanical blend of antimicrobial and healing ingredients will leave your hands feeling clean and hydrated.

That's good to know because we were going to need sanitizer for other reasons other than the Zipper.

Here we are strapped in and secure for the ride, and Mister Mancub has suddenly voiced some concerns about being "caught in a hamster cage strapped to a metal shaped paperclip the size of a building".

By the looks of this picture you can probably guess the outcome of his first Zipper ride and a trip down memory lane for me. As a young girl, my cousins and I begged the carnival worker to spin us more! This time, as Mancub and I tumbled in the Zipper like socks in the dryer, we were both begging for it to stop!
Thank goodness we had the large size of Organic Male Sanitzer with us. We needed it!

Now, for a little bit more about Organic Male skincare for men.
###

OM4 is designed and formulated exclusively for the unique needs and gender specific issues associated with men’s skin.  Male and female skin differs in several significant ways.
  • Key Difference 1:     Men’s skin is oiler than women’s skin due to the production of testosterone.  As testosterone levels decrease over time, the difference in oil production between men and women lessens, as men naturally transition to drier/mature skin in the late 40’s and early 50’s.
  • Key Difference 2:     Despite male skin being oilier, men in fact have smaller sebaceous glands than women.  Since absorption occurs primarily through the sebaceous glands, differing rates of permeation must be factored into product formulation and in which medium to precisely suspend each OM4 bionutrient.
  • Key Difference 3:     Men’s skin is 20%-30% thicker than women’s skin.  Therefore, male skin, in general, tends to be more age-defiant than female skin.  A key challenge is to ensure proper skin nutrition due to slower rates of absorption.
  • Key Difference 4:     Higher oil production gives rise to a series of male skin conditions which also must be addressed in product formulation.  Blemishes, acne, large pores and ingrown hair require advanced formulation.  Targeted ingredients are incorporated to build “preventive maintenance” for men’s skin into each product.
  • Key Difference 5:     Male skin is more sensitive than female skin for several reasons:
    • Historically, men’s skin has been more exposed to the damaging effects of the environment.
    • Daily shaving weakens the acid mantel, the hydrolipidic film, negatively impacting lubrication and skins natural protective system.
    • Shaving can cause, cuts, nicks, razor burn and/or PFB (Pseudofolliculitis Barbae) or razor bumps.
  • Key Difference 6:     Men’s skin ages differently than women’s skin.  Male skin becomes gradually thinner with age, about 1% per year as opposed to female skin changing texture and color due to decreasing amounts of estrogen.
  • Key Difference 7:     Numerous clinical studies triangulate the fact that men experience higher incidences of skin cancer as compared to women.  Melanoma of the head, ears, face and neck are only second to melanoma of the upper back in men.   Sun Screen is important.
So, what are you waiting for?  Simply identify your skin type and we have a color coded, four-step collection of products for you, exclusively.  See for yourself why OM4 is the men’s line 4 men of the world.

Under the Dome: who has eight skincare Tangerine Hand Creme with them?

Under the Dome, hmm, it's a breaking point for you, and me? I've been hooked all summer, eagerly waiting to watch and live Tweet with others on Twitter what is happening to the citizens of Chester's Mill while Under the Dome.

Alas, this last episode was just meh. Yes, I loved the cameo of Mare Winningham as Agatha. Oh that took me back to the 1980's rom com rat pack alright.

As for the episode, not enough meat or story to keep me waiting to watch. In my house, getting moved to the dvr list is a death sentence because when I watch the dvr programs I tend to do so on fast forward. Literally.

There are just 3 episodes left, yet the busy school schedule, event schedule, travel schedule is ramping up and I just can't promise CBS that I will be tuning in live. Nielsen ratings take notice, now.

A few suggestions going forward; please put a bra on Maxine. Thank you very much.

I find the story has become hokey and unbelievable. Yes, the supplies are running out and there really is no way to get more coffee, food supplies, gasoline and hold the phone: skincare!

Junior as the fourth hand? Really?

Unless these people were preppers, there is going to come a moment when the soap, shampoo and hand creme runs out. What are they going to do? Start making their own olive oil based products? But then again that supply is limited also.  Maybe the magic egg in the mini dome will produce a hologram of someone with a tangible supply of something they need? Only time and the dvr will tell.

Here is my review ofeight skincare Tangerine Hand Creme-does anyone Under the Dome have some?

It's light on the skin but deep in penetration and moisture. I love the fresh clean citrus scent and it does take a bit to settle into the skin meaning the backs of my hands are currently glistening with a moisture blanket of eight hand creme!

What it is:
A nourishing hand cream scented with tangerine citrus.

What it's used for:
Eight Skincare Tangerine Hand Creme is a deep-penetrating formula enriched with nourishing ingredients. Aloe barbadensis leaf extract conditions skin for a softer feel. Sea buckthorn oil has healing effects that alleviate damaged skin. Plumeria acutifolia flower soothes irritation.
Retails for $18.00
Water,Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract,Ethylhexyl Palmitate,Cetearyl Alcohol,Glycerin,Cetyl Alcohol,Glyceryl Stearate,PEG-100 Stearate,PEG-40 Stearate,Sorbitan Stearate,Hamamelis Virginia (Witch Hazel) Water,Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract,Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract,Sambucus Nigra Flower Extract,Plumeria Acutifolia Flower Extract,Tocopherol,Sea Salt,Allantoin, Panthenol,Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil,Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride,Foeniculum Vulgare (Anise) Oil,Ocimum Basilicum (Basil) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Dimethicone,Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol.

Under the Dome: What will Carolyn do now that Alice is gone?

Oh Gorgeous, I am SO sucked in to watching Under the Dome.
It tarted out as a wee fancy since nothing else was really on, but now it's a full blown "inked" spot on my schedule that Monday nights are about wine, live Tweet and the Dome baby!

True, I was sad to see Alice Calvert played by Samantha Mathis die. But what I was really upset by is that it was so refreshing to see Samantha back in action and now she is gone.

What is Carolyn Hill going to do now? She and Norrie are alone and Under the Dome!

Now, a post wouldn't be a post on my blog if I didn't tie in a product somehow!
Meet Dorco Shai Double 3 Blade System for Women!

When I look at Carolyn's very closely shaved head, it makes me wonder what she uses to keep that cut so clean?  The actress Aisha Hinds has to keep her hair in that close cut while she is in character  for Carolyn. Since she is in 12 episodes, it means she has been wearing that cut for the better part of a year. Wow.

The sample I recieved sells online for $5.95! Whoa, that is so inexpensive compared to what I pay at the drugstore and Costco for shavers! Get you one!

Alexander Koch: Under the Dome & Teen Choice Awards?

Hey ya!
I'm busy at SXSW V2V, but I was definitely watching the 2013 Teen Choice Awards last night and will not be missing Under the Dome tonight!

Alexander Koch plays Junior and he's a real creep on the show Under the Dome yet in real life he is just a cutie!

Not a whole lotta fashion sense in this photo, but then again, we can't all afford a stylist all the time.

What I am loving is his wavy locks and I'm thinking that Mr. Koch keeps his locks in perfect volume controlld waves with something like Ouidad Clear Control Pomade.

It retails for about $25, and is available at www.ouidad.com

I'm loving it in my wavy hair and I'm loving watching Alexander Koch as Junior on Under the Dome. Catch me live tweeting tonight! @Cherelynn on Twitter!

Clear Control Pomade is a unique, water-soluble finishing aid, packed with conditioners and humectants to calm frizzy, fly-away hair and seal in beneficial moisturizers. By blending proteins with holding polymers to remove the stiff feeling common to styling products, the result is a finishing formula that leaves hair soft and shiny. Use with Ouidad's styling gels for added hold and lustrous shine - or as a finishing touch to define curls after gels have set.

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Mineral Oil, Oleth-20, Oleth-5, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, Dicaprylyl Maleate, Polysorbate 80, Acetylated Lanolin Alcohol, Benzophenone-4, Cetyl Acetate, DEA-Oleth-3 Phosphate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.

Under the Dome with Murad Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo

Hi ya Gorgeous!
It's Monday!
You know what that means? Yup. Under the Dome!

I'm definitely sucked into watching and now have the book to read. I know they are vastly different so I am going to wait til the show is over for the season and then start reading the book.

Now, I supposed to be writing a BTS: Back to School skin care with Murad Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo, but what I really want to talk about is Under the Dome!

Resources are getting scarce there! What are they doing for skincare and is all that stale air making pimples?
If not, it's for sure making blackheads.

This duo is real fun and I use it a few days before I do serious HD close up work because it pulls free all the clogged plugs in the pores and makes a smooth even canvas to apply makeup to. Smells good, feels good and easy to use, what's not to love?

For my ladies who are going back to school, back to University and back to work, get some!

It's a new product and available at Sephora for $49.50.

 What it is:
A two-step blackhead and pore clearing treatment featuring oxidation reversal complex that helps to reduce recurrence of blackheads and seal pores.

What it does:
Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo is clinically proven to reduce the formation of blackheads. Volcanic mineral clay and shikakai extract detoxify, drawing out dirt and excess oil to extract stubborn impurities from deep within pores. Oxidation reversal complex targets sebum oxidation, a leading cause of blackheads and the trigger for the build-up of cellular debris, while pomegranate seed oil tightens pores and refines skin’s complexion. This must-have duo is recommended as a step two treatment in any Murad Pore Reform™ regimen. It clears blackheads and inhibits formation of future blackheads while tightening pores as part of Dr. Murad’s Inclusive Health® system of care.

This set contains:
- 1.7 oz Blackhead Remover
- 0.5 oz Pore Refining Sealer

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
This product is scientifically proven, dermatologist developed, and tested on people, not animals.

Research results:
- 58% reduced formation of blackheads in 5 days*

Suggested Usage:
Blackhead Remover:
-Apply generously to areas prone to blackheads.
-Leave on for up to 10 minutes.
-Add warm water and gently massage into skin to exfoliate.
-Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
-Follow with Pore Refining Sealer.
-Use two to three times per week as needed.

Pore Refining Sealer:
-Immediately following use of Blackhead Remover, apply a thin layer to entire face.
-To help prevent future blackheads, apply a second layer 12 hours after initial treatment.
-Follow with a Murad step three moisturizer after each application.
-Use two to three times per week as needed.

Precautions:
-For external use only.
-Avoid contact with eyes.
-Keep out of reach of children.

Teen Choice Awards 2013: who are you voting for? Under the Dome?

 Hi ya Gorgeous!
Wow-does everything happen at once or what? It is "BTS" Back to School, as well as a lead into the beginning of award show season. Yeah.

So the Teen Choice Awards are coming up this Sunday August 11th and I find it tongue in cheeky fun that my fave summer show "Under the Dome" is nominated!

Mike Vogel plays Dale "Barbie" Barbara and as of last episode seems to have a heating up romance going with Julia, and I'm  still not sure if he really killed her husband or not? Guess I'll have to wait and see!

Barbie always has great hair, even for being in the dome, I suspect he uses something like Texture Taffy from Ouidad?

I used this on my son today for his first day back to school as a 3rd grader. Wow, times sure have changed. The Ouidad Texture Taffy makes a light hold for piecy styles with an intoxicating scent. Those seven year old girls better keep their hands and noses to themselves when it comes to my son!

Now here is a list of who else is nominated for a Teen Choice Award! Enjoy!

Oh so ready for some Under the Dome tonight! Who else is watching and live tweeting? I'm @Cherelynn on Twitter, so come follow and tweet along!

I think some of these ladies Under the Dome could use some hair help-after all, with everything starting to run out and become scarce, how are they going to get their hair done? Did?

Hopefully the ladies of Chester's Mill have some John Frieda color protecting shampoo and conditioner already in stock!

Now, each of these leading ladies in the ensemble cast  have vibrant hair color and I think that using some John Frieda colour protecting shampoo and conditioner could seal in some color in that dome!

Rachelle Lefevre plays Julia Shumway and is a John Frieda Radiant Red.

Britt Robertson plays Angie McAlister and is a John Frieda Sheer Blonde.

Natalie Martinez as Deputy Linda Esquivel is a John Frieda Brilliant Brunette like me!

Under the Dome: Dodee Weaver played by Jolene Purdy-scene stealer extraordinaire! Jurlique much?

Under the Dome much my Gorgeous?

Tonight the summer hit show Under the Dome is giving us another peek "under the dome" and  I will be watching. I think the show is at a tipping point, either tonight is going to step up and over the edge of obscurity and fluff, or it's going to sink into a mire of half baked sci fi theory. Not a pretty place to be.

In my opinion, the character Dodee Weaver played by actress Jolene Purdy (her parent's must be Dolly Parton fans?) steals the show every scene she is in as the smarter than the DJ and sassy audio engineer at the local rock radio station.

Jolene Aiko Purdy is a movie and television actress based in the United States. She is half Japanese and half Caucasian. Purdy starred as Cherita Chen in the 2001 film Donnie Darko.

So if we were Under the Dome, what would our skin be like? It just rained there, so I'm wondering if it's super humid?  No matter what the weather conditions, you can never go wrong with Jurlique Calendula Cream because it's a restoring protective moisturizer for sensitive skin. Meaning that anywhere on your face, hands or body, you can use the Jurlique (love their products!) cream to calm and soothe!

Calendula Cream

Now here is a short interview with Jolene Purdy with some keen insight into her character and the show-enjoy!

Under the Dome: Ouidad for Julia Shumway like curls

Hi ya Gorgeous!
Oh I am so sucked into watching Under the Dome on CBS.

Episode 4 aired last night and it was about a meningitis outbreak along with Junior being deputized.

Julia Shumway is a lead character played by Rachelle LeFevre and she has amazing red curls.

If you haven't started watching Under the Dome yet, start already! You can view the previous episodes on Amazon.com with a free "prime" account.

I love the red curls and wonder if the stylist is using Ouidad Tress Effects Styling Gel to define the curls and fight frizz. After all, that dome must be pretty hot and sticky!

 $16.00

Features

  • Softens, defines and smoothes curls
  • Won't weight down curls
  • Adds shine
  • Leaves hair manageable
  • Protects from heat-styling damage
  • Tames flyaways and frizz
  • No animal testing
  • Made in the USA

Directions

Using the Rake & Shake technique, apply a nickel size dollop to palms and work evenly to sections of damp hair. Starting at the nape area take a 2" section of hair from ear to ear, and rake the lotion through; holding section at the end, then shake to reset your curl pattern. Repeat entire process, working in sections to the top of the head to your desired style.

Tip: When applying, begin by raking fingers through underneath layers of hair first. Then, beginning at the crown, rake downward towards the ends, and lastly rake from the temple and forehead to the crown. This will ensure complete coverage and help prevent the under layers of hair from stacking out when dry.
