Happy Monday!

It's been a whirlwind of traveling and events and I'm so glad to be home!

Phew!

Now, back to the "normal" and I caught a lil bit of the Billboard Music Awards last night while unpacking and starting the laundry.

Hands down, Taylor Swift won on every level and she deserves it. She took a big risk by switching music genres and it paid off.

It's so #MayBreakthrough of her!

Here is the new video, Bad Blood, and it totally reminds me of Michael Jackson and Thriller. Talk about taking risks!

Nice to see the moment by moment experience of those in a different time zone enjoying the show, but as for me, it came as the bummer of reading every one's quotes of how awesome "......performance was!...."
Great.
No need to watch now, and then everything is on YouTube the moment it is happening. Oy. Love social media. Need to know better than to read it when I want to watch the show later!

 Did you watch the Grammys Nomination Concert last night? I did. It was pretty good. I liked seeing Taylor Swift perform her set in Australia and then Katy Perry also. Those are concerts that I would like to see though most likely won't. So it was a nice sneak peak.

Here is the pretty Miss Perry doing her song Roar from Toronto Canada but was simulcast to the Grammys Nomination concert.

I like the cleaned up classy look on her more than the wild stuff. It just shows off her talent more.

Teen Choice Awards 2013: who are you voting for? Under the Dome?

Wow-does everything happen at once or what? It is "BTS" Back to School, as well as a lead into the beginning of award show season. Yeah.

So the Teen Choice Awards are coming up this Sunday August 11th and I find it tongue in cheeky fun that my fave summer show "Under the Dome" is nominated!



 Mike Vogel plays Dale "Barbie" Barbara and as of last episode seems to have a heating up romance going with Julia, and I'm  still not sure if he really killed her husband or not? Guess I'll have to wait and see!




Barbie always has great hair, even for being in the dome, I suspect he uses something like Texture Taffy from Ouidad?

I used this on my son today for his first day back to school as a 3rd grader. Wow, times sure have changed. The Ouidad Texture Taffy makes a light hold for piecy styles with an intoxicating scent. Those seven year old girls better keep their hands and noses to themselves when it comes to my son!

Oh  the fun of watching the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and seeing Taylor Swift win again! I like her music and I think she is too cute for words! Plus she is a good role model for young ladies to become entrepreneurial.

OH wow! The I Heart Radio festival at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas was live streamed over Yahoo-or a Xbox 360 for those of us who were unable to make it in person.

In the words of Taylor Swift " I'm definitely going next year"!

So here is a short video to share the Rimmel of London haul-that I have used to create a P!NK inspired smokey eye and nude lip like what she wore in her set on Saturday.

I did not go into detail in the video about how to get a PINK's mohawk if you have long hair like mine-but here's the short version:
1. Section the top of your head into 3 parts from the forehead hairline to the crown. Tease tight, then smooth over with a brush.

2. I put my hair into a high ponytail-and kept the teased section smooth and tall.

3. Sprayed it all down with some Samy shine hairspray, set a bow at the back of the teased 'faux' hawk and fluffed out the base of the pony tail.

It's a PINK like hairstyle!

2012 Mtv VMA show is coming up on September 6th-and their website has a poll where you can vote on what the most epic moment was-it's got some nice performances to vote for, but my favorite is from years back when Eminem came out singing, and he was good-but then, hundreds of extras came flooding down the aisles dressed the same as Eminem.

I don't remember what year that was-but it was really one of the best moments ever. Eminem needs an award for best branding career moment!
