Truth, not me. But! There are so many events filling this week leading up to EDC that even if you don't have a ticket to the main event, you can still enjoy some EDC activity like the Downtown Las Vegas party with the Stitch Factory!

Now this post is titled "get ready with me" because I have been seeing a ton of those types of videos on YouTube. I'm not quite ready to make a video of me getting ready, but here is me getting ready with the Generation Beauty by Ipsy in Los Angeles haul of makeup from the Buxom line in Bare Minerals.

Thursday Throwback: Downtown Las Vegas Speaker Series

Hey Toots,
I'm so tired from CES. I need to put a blog post up. Did I mention I'm tired. Fighting this cold hasn't helped any either. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I'm just used to more energy and being able to do more.

Now, I have been sitting on this story idea for a week or more now ever since I saw the beautiful and gracious Miss Sadie Robertson, a Duck Dynasty daughter, in an ad for her own designs for prom dresses.

I approve! I love the modest neckline, attention to detail and the long hem. Two thumbs up!

Sadie Robertson, 16-year-old daughter of “Duck Dynasty’s” Willie and Korie Robertson, made her runwaydebut Sept. 9 at Fashion Week in New York City wearing a black and white polka dot gown from her upcoming collection of prom dresses.

Robertson’s “Sadie Robertson Live Original” collection with designer Sherri Hill is retro-inspired and the dresses are “Willie approved” by her father.


Teenage girls around the country empathized with Robertson while watching her try to find a dress in the “Duck Dynasty” home­coming episode” last year.


Robertson’s line will be available in the spring in more than 500 boutiques. Boutique locations are listed on www.SherriHill.com.

Last night was a wonderful meal in Tony Hsieh's loft where the speakers got a chance to introduce themselves and meet each other. This sign was part of the art. I like it!

Downtown Project: Day 1 with Heidi, Feetish Spa Parlor and Lil Art Bodega

I am hear on the Downtown Speaker Series and also teaching a makeup workshop.

Today was the first day and it is not over yet!

Here is my first meeting outfit: simple dress, belt to match my cowboy boots-yes, I had  to bring a little Arizona with me!

Next, Heidi, the "positivity pixie" and Rainbow Bright'est ever tour guide. She has so much information about what is going on down here and I have so many questions!  In this photo we are in the collective work space/art space-so it smells heavenly with fresh coffee and looks beautiful with the current month's art installment!

Now, onto My Kitchen Cure by Mee Tracy McCormick.
You know,I love to eat, love to cook and love a new cookbook. This one is a fun and easy read that is part testimonial of how foods can heal and part recipes.

I am taking on a new challenge. I plan to vlog through the book and the recipes. I loved the movie Julie & Julia and feel inspired to try my own cooking journey.

Sigh, Under the Dome is over. Can you believe it? The book, was by far better. Though, the tv series caught my attention for the summer and now I just may tune in next season, but no promises.

Now, the winner for our Twitter party giving away a Vaseline Spray & Go moisturizer has been notified and mass congrats to the soft skin they are about to get!
