Sweat proof makeup, the West Valley show and more

Hello and Happy Monday!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the West Valley bridal expo this Saturday. The show was awesome and went off without a hitch!

The "Rocka-Barba-billy-ella" makeup was amazing and it photographed amazing! Oh, I didn't take my camera...darn it! Doh!

Though, Ventola Photography did snap some shots and that is what you see here. There is a slide show on the myspace page for you to enjoy too!

Now, makeup wise...we are coming into the Fourth of July holiday, (which I happen to love) and it's going to be hot, sweaty, intense sun and in general...muggy for you. How do you keep your beauty intact?

1. Use a self tanner starting today made for the face, such as Neutrogena's gradual face tanner. This way, you have even skin tone and color and won't have to worry about any kind of foundation. Just blot your shine off and maybe stipple on some powder if you absolutely must!

2. Use a stain on your lips and cheeks. I love Benefit Benetint and Lorac Sheer Wash. This gives the face and mouth some definition and you can swipe on the gloss of your choice to finish your mouth.

3. I recommend a "water resistant" mascara such as Sue Devitt Studios that will stay on through the sweaty and muggy weather.

4. Think creme shadows if you want to dress up your eyes. I know, you are thinking "it will crease!", well, because it moves a bit, you can easily readjust and blend your creme shadow as you need.

5. Fragrance! Keep it light and clean, nothing to strong so it won't mingle with sweat and sunscreen.

That's really the beauty tip... please put your sunscreen on and re-apply ever 4 hours if you are out of the water, and immediately following any water or sporty activity that may sweat off the product.

Enjoy the fireworks!
