Well hello there Gorgeous!
I love Mondays! I get more done on a Monday than I do all week!
Now before I get into my review of Manna Cosmetics Camera Ready Foundation Primer-let me remind you that the free full size gift set of Evologie Clear Skin Kit giveaway is still going on here-so enter now if you haven't!
Have you tried Manna Cosmetics? I recently received a sample and I have used it over this weekend for some fun and some events.
Camera Ready is an essential makeup base that gives a matte, silky smooth finish that will keep your makeup in place ALL day. As a bonus, Camera Ready smoothes skin texture and minimizes the appearance of fine lines & pores. Retails for $42.00 online at the Manna Kadar website!
Now, my experience using both a wee sample of the Sheer Glow and the Camera Ready foundation primer.
Something to note, the product is made in Canada and the first ingredient is cyclopentasiloxane and the last ingredient is dimethicone. So the basic ingredients in this product are liquid silicone that is approved by the FDA for cosmetic purposes.
The silicone makes for a super smooth canvas on the skin, sort of like wearing a thin rubber glove over your entire face. My foundation went on so smooth. Not one wrinkle or pore was showing! The finish of my liquid foundation that was powdered was so beautiful and it wore like that all day through very cold windy weather, car rides, public appearances and a busy beauty event.
So that is all the good news. Now here is the challenged news for me personally: I think my skin has a reaction to the silicone because every single foundation primer that I use gives me pimples. Just wee comodones all over my face. It's pretty gross.
I am having a break out now. You may be asking, "well, what did you use to wash your face and remove the cosmetics being worn?".
I wash with Murad salicylic acid wash for acne like skin, then use ASAP exfoliating cleanser, tone with Murad and then serum, moisturzer and eye cream.
I don't know if it's this product specifically or just that my normal skin has a reaction to dimethicone. I love the way it makes the foundation look, I just don't like the effects on my skin the day after. Yes, it is literally the day after that my skin breaks out!
So-it may be a good beauty fit for you-be sure and sample it if possible and see how you like the finish!
