It's holiday time! Which means  time to stock up on  your favorite fragrances! I recently tried a new scent by AVON ( I'm a big fan of the AVON scents), it's the third in the line with spokeswoman Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas.  I have not tried the first two scents, though if this one is any indication of the others, they are good ones.

Now, my nose prefers the middle and bottom notes as the perfume dries on my skin. The top not is very strong and smells powdery to me but it dries down light and spicey. Just the way I like it!

I like the Jillian Dempsey line of makeup from Avon best-why? Because it has a lot of pigment in the products meaning that a wee bit goes a long way!

See these 2 products in the photo? They are a must have for your back to school beauty becaue they can make many looks and easily pack up in your purse or back pack!

The first one on the left is called a 'smokifier' which is a fancy term for a loose powder eyeliner: so put a bit on as a liner or blend as an eyeshadow then add more for evening time-it's just too cool and fun! Apply to eyebrows or get wet for a more intense look.

PLEASE NOTE FOR APPLICATION: wait to apply your foundation because a bit may flake under the eye-you may need to clean up under the eye after application, I know I do! Also, if too much product comes out on the sponge, either tap back into the bottle or simply blot the sponge applicator on a tissue so you don't get a big flaky mess!

Second you see the gold creme eyeshadow on one end with a black liquid liner on the other: it's like a rockabilly girls dream!

I have tried both, worn them in the excessive Arizona heat and so far so good for holding up under high heat, humidity and going through a long day!

Oh me likey this foundation! I'm coming off a bottle of Revlon that when I started using the product worked great-but as it aged it began to break down in the bottle and on the skin-so thank goodness I got a sample of the natural beige Avon ideal flawless foundation.

On me it wears well, lasts along time, though does need to be blotted about four hours in. I'm not sure if this is the product of the extreme heat and humidity of Arizona right now?

The Inspiration: In working with Richard Chai, Tippi Shorter says: “The look very much reflects Richard’s inspiration for his collection with a loose, light and disheveled look on top and then straight and smooth on the bottom. It’s really ‘day two hair.’ The best way to get this look is by not having freshly washed hair, but hair that’s a little lived in, that’s straight or wavy hair, but the look doesn’t lend itself to curly hair.”

Step-by-Step Styling:
This style incorporates a lot of products, so before you begin styling, prep hair by using Avon Advance Techniques 3D Rescue Leave-in Treatment.
On dry hair apply Avon Advance Techniques Volumizing Spray Gel around the front, sides and top of the hair, spraying close to the roots and on the top, but avoiding the bottom of the hair. Then power dry the hair by scrunching to create volume and texture to create a lived in texture.
Create the deep side part and continue to use the drier, scrunching and sweeping the hair to fall effortlessly across the forehead.
Spray Avon Advance Techniques Medium Hold Hair Spray into your hand and start scrunching back while collecting the hair in a chunky, loose, low ponytail allowing the deep side of the part to fall across the forehead and sweep behind the ears. Secure it at the nape using a bungee band. Put more Medium Hold Hair Spray on the finger tips and gently scrunch and tease the ponytail.
Then take Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Smooth and Shine Capsules into your hand with couple of sprays of Medium Hold Hair Spray and run it through the length of the ponytail to make it very smooth and sleek…the complete opposite of the top. Take a brush to smooth over and if needed, take the straightening irons and run over the length of the ponytail to create contrast.


Once you’ve worn your style out, reuse Avon Advance Techniques 3D Rescue Leave-in Treatment which, in just three days, three years of hair damage is repaired.

Now, our experience; was good. I did like the smell and texture, it did not run into Mancub's eyes and sting which is a bonus though I'm not sure I should be putting anti-aging skin care products on a soon to be six year old?

Nonetheless-I liked the product overall but have one burning question: is this a sunscreen or a face lotion? Is this an everyday product or as needed for sun exposure? How will it wear under foundation if used daily? What are the results of this as an anti-aging product if used daily/weekly?

I"m also wearing the AVON Extra Lasting eyeshadow in Teal-this can be applied as an eyeliner or as an all over eyeshadow color.

I've got the Extra Lasting on in lipstick X50 which is a light shimmery beige-it looks sort of like someting Jennifer Lopez would wear? I topped the lipstick off with the Extra Lasting lipgloss in Rose. These few things in a locker or backpack can keep your beauty fresh and let you focus on your school work and not on your makeup!
