For great online resource of photos, go to www.angeljagger.com she is a modern day makeup artist who does amazing retro beauty.

I think there was something classic and stylish to the pulled together and accessorized look of that era that has not been duplicated since. The movie stars of that time never went out looking like a schlumpadinka. In fact, Joan "no more wire hangers" Crawford said in an interview that it is part of her job to always look her best and never would leave the house with out false eyelashes, lipstick and a full face of powder.

How different from today! A retro beauty face is one that is covered in foundation, has blush, a deep toned mouth, brows, lashes and shadow! The application is more precise and what would be considered a "classic" face.

The Total Beauty byte for today is on the hair of the women in the White House. What would Mrs. Washington say! Trends have changed and it's going from formal to loose and more modern magazine fashion photo shoot'ish.

Enjoy the trip back in time and a big thanks to all the support at the Fresh Start Women's Foundation workshop last night!
