Mean Girls X Profusion lip kits - Christmas stocking stuffer perfection

On Wednesdays, we wear pink! I was recently in Walmart and saw these lip kits were in a nearly empty, pushed off to the side section of the health and beauty aisle.

 

 

I picked up a couple for gifts and have opened the Regina George for testing in the video.

Super fun and I'm such a fan of the movie, "so fetch"! These sets are $5.98 and come with one long wearing lip creme and one Lancome style juicy tube shimmery gloss. These did not have a strong scent and wore well. When I say well, I mean not super long yet not super short. I had mine on for a few hours and then ate something and after that noticed the wear.

Walmart multi-mask pack Christmas stocking stuffer follow up video

Just a quick heads up to follow up on this product that I made a video on a week ago.

I was SO excited to find single packet masks in a variety pack for such a good price, $2.70 at Walmart. I was thinking this would be so perfect for the skincare and beauty lover to get as a gift in their Christmas stocking!

Well, possibly it would be. BUT - you have to know - 6 of the masks are wash off gel masks and only 1 is a peel off mask. Is the quality good? Yes. Is the variety good? No. I was expecting a 2 peel offs, 2 clay and then 3 gel.

I still think it's a good value as a small gift for the beauty lover in your circle of friends and family. I wanted to come back on and let you know that if you are looking for variety - this is not it.

Wine Wednesay | It's Jammy Time!

 Snap your fingers and just like that! School is back in session! On campus and ready to enjoy the learning and being with the peers is a good thing for students. For all the parents who aren't teachers and who had to suddenly become teachers, good for you too! You may need a sip of wine.

First Impression: Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation | Under $10

It's Monday and my favorite day of the week. Wow. Hold on to your hat - or glasses - or whatever is close because in my world, the 2021 year is half over. Like, now! July starts in a matter of days, or 48 hours depending on how you look at it. I've been doing some serious mid-year goal re-evaluation and shifting for the final 6 months of the year! How about you?

Knowing that - I share this funny photo to encourage you to not give up on the plans you have/ or had for 2021. There is still plenty of time to work on your goals and achieve them. 

Now, I have been spending 2020-2021 finding drugstore makeup and skincare that I LOVE and will enjoy using until finances return to pre-pandemic levels.  That means that I am buying on Amazon mostly and sometimes Walmart to get the skincare, and makeup I need and want. I would like to say need, though in the big picture, I just want it!  

I found in google searches for "best drugstore foundation" that the Maybelline Dream Satin foundation was highly reviewed and favored. It has a low price point of $7.97 - under $10 means that it is in the budget.  Yes, you can return the product to Amazon or Walmart if the color isn't what you want or like. Amazon makes returns the easiest in my opinion though Walmart will take it back and refund money or exchange though you must have your receipt.

Find Your Happy Place - Wrapped In Your Arms - Just in Time for Valentine's Day

Happy February 2021 - wow - how is it already the second month of the year? Time and days have been flying by for me and I'm so thankful to receive this gift of the new Find Your Happy Place collection of body products from Unilever.

It's just what a busy working and distance learning mom needs! 

I recently took time to spend time in nature on a hike, which is my happy place! 

I carried the pocket sized hand creme with me and thank goodness I did! The Goldstrike trail in Nevada has 8 belaying ropes that you have to use to drop down in to the canyon. Today in other news, is also a day of mourning and remembrance for the 41st president of the United States, George Herbert Walker Bush.  If you waited til today to mail your Christmas cards, well, they are going to wait til tomorrow because in the United States, all federal and state government are closed today in remembrance.  This has not happened in the United States since the passing of Gerald Ford and that was in December 2006.  Truly, one era has ended and another has begun!

Thanksgiving is two weeks away! Are you ready? Are you doing any and all pre-preparations that you can to make the day go smoother and have less time prepping and more time with friends and family? 

My family used to have great big celebrations with lots of extended families and cousins from the third bloodline joining in. These events were huge! Now, no one gets together! It's just the core family and even then - we split it up with travel to here and there. Oh, Fall is finally here. We had a cold snap in Arizona. Then savage rains. Followed by a Indian summer style heat snap and now - it's just perfect. 66 degrees during the day with sun and a light breeze. Hello Fall!
