 Meet Dove exfoliating body polishes! There are 3 scents to choose from and the price range is about $6.  If you have not picked up a gift for your Mom this weekend, this could be a great fit!

 Each of these scents have a creamy slurry of body wash and a fine grit of exfoliant in them.

 After testing all three, I find that the blue tub of "crushed macadamia and rice milk" is the one I like the best with the pomegranate seeds and shea butter being my second favorite. My son loves the kiwi seeds and cool aloe.

 When shopping for these at a Walmart of Walgreen's, pick up a matching body bar, body wash and lotion to match the scrub!

You can use this up to 3-4 times per week and consider keeping a tub of Dove exfoliating body polish by the sink so you can regularly exfoliate your hands! It's a neglected area of anti-aging skin care routines!  Take the same anti-aging skin care on your hands as you do on your face and neck!

Disney beauty tools from SoHo: just what a gal needs for the weekend!

I am a huge Disney fan and have been for some time!
 One of my all time, I mean, all time favorite movies is the Disney animation film Beauty and the Beast.

Years ago I auditioned for the part of  Belle in Los Angeles. The Broadway play was coming to the Shubert theater. Here's the bottom line. To my ever living chagrin.

I lied on the application. 

You had to be a minimum of 5'8" to fit the yellow ball gown.

Nonsense! 

I'm almost 5'3" but I can PLAY 5'8".  

At the audition, there were rows and rows of gorgeous ladies, patiently standing in line waiting to run the short dance steps we learned and then sing a few bars.

I was in the second row standing side by side with these creatures who were part legs and part lungs.

Imagine what it looks like: 5'8" tall ladies, and then  me: a far enough past 5'2" that I may as well say 5'3", let alone 5'8"

Ha! It was so obvious!

The casting director was filled with grace and let me finish the audition when he should have called me out on the lie and tossed me on my bum!

It was clear, I was not going to make the cut. 

I am sorry for lying. Though I am proud of myself for trying against all odds!

So what does all of this have to do with Disney and Beauty and the Beast?

Shea Butter lip balms: a winter season lip saver

OH wow! The I Heart Radio festival at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas was live streamed over Yahoo-or a Xbox 360 for those of us who were unable to make it in person.

In the words of Taylor Swift " I'm definitely going next year"!

So here is a short video to share the Rimmel of London haul-that I have used to create a P!NK inspired smokey eye and nude lip like what she wore in her set on Saturday.

I did not go into detail in the video about how to get a PINK's mohawk if you have long hair like mine-but here's the short version:
1. Section the top of your head into 3 parts from the forehead hairline to the crown. Tease tight, then smooth over with a brush.

2. I put my hair into a high ponytail-and kept the teased section smooth and tall.

3. Sprayed it all down with some Samy shine hairspray, set a bow at the back of the teased 'faux' hawk and fluffed out the base of the pony tail.

It's a PINK like hairstyle!
