Can you just feel the atmosphere shifting? My son and I are prepping for Washington DC at the end of the month with the Let Us Worship event on The National Mall led by Sean Feucht and Lou Engle. It's sort of like Azusa Now but on the East coast?

On the Road to Sundance 2019

 Hi ya Gorgeous,
Happy Friday and double happy long weekend. Thank you Dr Martin Luther King for all of your service and moving forward on ideas and dreams!

Which brings me to Sundance Film Festival. Next week, talented actress Judy and I are hitting the road to Park City in a Volkswagon for Lions Rest Productions.

For those of you who would like to know more of the story and why this female filmmaker story is on my makeup page - here's the back story: a century ago, or so it feels like that, I had started in work in film production. I'm definitely a behind the camera kinda gal versus be in front. That's where Judy comes in - she's the talent and goes in front of the camera!

So like I was saying - I finished my first film degree in Arizona, worked on some studio productions, then went back and did another version of a film degree in New York before working on some independent productions and then bada boom bada bing, I wound up in the makeup trailer.



After a turn in the 90's at Slamdance and SXSW with my first film series, "The Satori Chronicles", I'm now returning to the beginning and taking my talent with me!

We are producing a project along the way to document the process and then have some meetings in Park City for SVOD acquistion and distribution. Amen!

How To Change Film Distribution - BEARLY Film -

So I want to share with you what I have been working on in the film department that has kept me from you and the beauty blog!

I have been developing a short film, documentary and feature film. They are all in various stages of development.

The short film BEARLY is what we are talking about today because it's in production now and will need an expensive DCP file created to show in theaters and the marketing is on the film, not on the distribution.  So  that's where the GoFundMe campaign comes in.

I'm working towards raising funds to finish this project so that I can have a proven success record to studios that showing a short in theater, works! It's a package deal - and it can benefit the customer, the theater, the film maker and the distributor. It's win win win and win. Now, to get this thing finished!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month: TriDerma is helping the cause

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month: join up with Laura Mercier

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and we would be so grateful if you would join the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund (LMOCF) in raising awareness of the disease.

 

The LMOCF was started by Laura Mercier, founder of Laura Mercier cosmetics, and Claudia Poccia, President & CEO of Gurwitch Products, the brand’s parent company, because both women’s lives were touched by loved ones who faced ovarian cancer.  In 2011, Poccia lost her younger sister, Laura Lia Murray who was only 39 years old, to the disease. Mercier has witnessed her dear friend, Ranee Flynn bravely battle ovarian cancer for years.

 

Last September, they, along with their colleagues at Laura Mercier cosmetics, launched the LMOCF with the mission of educating women about the disease, supporting those who were undergoing treatment, and funding research for a cure. 

 

This year, in order to support the cause, Laura Mercier will donate 100 percent of the profits from the sale of three products to the Fund.  Additionally, anyone may make a direct donation to the Fund through its dedicated website, www.lmocf.org.
