Made for the daring, most of the 12 Urban Decay Deluxe Eye Shadow powders are intense and fluorescent -- anything but subtle. |
Enjoy the beauty bytes about intense shadows! Now if you can't get your hands on some Urban Decay, which is a really fun line and started out with radical colors in nail polish, remember?
Your local Walmat or Target may carry L'Oreal's H.I.P. which stands for high impact pigment line. They are very bold and bright and a wee bit of shadow goes along way so be ready with your blending brushes!
You may be seeing more Fall trend coming out now in magazines and celebrity sightings. It was quite some time ago, maybe about ten years that Chanel put out it's now famous color Vamp. That shade is perfect for the intensely dark mouths that you will be seeing in fashion.
A key to wearing these bold colors is remembering for the rest of the day you need to use a straw to drink anything.
To help the mouth wear this color well and behave:
Exfoliate the lips before you apply. Use your toothbrush when you are brushing your teeth, or use a micrograin exfoliating scrub.
Moisturize! If you have a reversible liner, such as the one made my DuWop, use that first and then line over it with a matching shade of the dark lipstick you are going to wear.
It can help longevity and the wear of the dark lipstick on the mouth to stain the lips first in a dark stain, let it dry, then apply the creamy lipstick or matte shade over it.
Remember, a dark matte lipstick can look very dramatic and appear a bit vampirish.
I love a dramatic mouth, enjoy the shades you find that are new for the 2008 Fall beauty season, or go get some Vamp!
