Shhh … Salon Hair Secrets Revealed

This is a TotalBeauty.com hair care article

From celeb hair inspirations to pro styling tricks to learning how to work your tools like an expert -- this guide has got it all.

See secrets

Here I am about to be inspired by my new samples from Bambola Beauty!
If you aren't familiar with the natural skin care line you should be! They are cruelty free and conservation minded.

Speaking of minded; here I sit with my samples and which to try first?

I have chose to wash my face and try the glycolic sugar cane exfoliant and it fast became my favorite. Why? Because I love the effectiveness of glycolic acid and love exfoliants to keep soft texture on my skin!

Here's some notes on the product from the main site:

Glycolic Sugar Cane Exfoliant
A Bambola Beauty favorite! Glycolic is a naturally-occurring, non-toxic Alpha Hydroxy Acid found in Sugar Cane. Glycolic accelerates the removal of dead skin, increases collagen production, and reduces the appearance of fine lines, sun damage and hyper-pigmentation. This exceptional serum also contains Apple Source Malic Acid and Salicylic Acid that diminish large pores, acne scarring, and help clear oily or acne-prone skin.

Key Ingredients:
Apple Acid – Promotes smoother, firmer skin, helps reverse sun damage
Chamomile - Improves the health of skin, soothing and anti-oxidant benefits
Cucumber – Nourishes, clarifies and soothes the skin
Glycolic Acid from sugar cane – Gently exfoliates and moisturizes dry, dull skin
Size: 1.7 oz. - $48.00
After the glycolic sugar cane exfoliant , I did the mango moisturizing mask and finished with the hydration booster serum before applying my sunscreen laden daily moisturizer over it.

Phew! I just had myself a spa day! My skin looks great and I'm ready for camera to tape the promos for the wedding expo this weekend. Thanks Bambola Beauty for gettin' me gorgeous!

Now, there is a sample of the volcanic mineral scrub and that's for tomorrow...

Thanks for visiting, remember to come see the new hub blog at http://cherelynn.com and definately come on out to the Arizona Bridal Affair this Sunday September 26th. See you there!

Cellceuticals Biomedical Regenerative Skin Treatment

TotalBeauty.com
Beauty Emergencies -- Solved!

Follow these steps to fix that monstrous zit or tanning cream trauma

Beauty Emergencies -- Solved!

This is a TotalBeauty.com beauty products article

Unfortunately, there's no beauty 911 number to call, but these easy steps will help you solve your emergency in a snap.

See steps

I'm getting ready to try a new Cellceuticals biomedical skin treatment as well as use a favorite!

I love the Cellceuticals extremely gentle face wash for sensitive skin-it's not that I have sensitive skin but after a long hot summer it's gentle on skin that has seen too much sun! I am thinking that this winter with snow play and long days snowboarding that my cold wind chapped skin is going to need an extremely gentle cleanser like the white bottle by Cellceuticals.

One thing to note: the pink scrublet that you see me holding is from a different line of skin care and it's similiar to a face wash brush or pouf.

It's very gentle and can be easily cleaned so it doesn't transfer bacteria to cause breakouts and the base is a suction cup so after use and cleaning it can hung on the wall or shower door to dry!

It's a silicone based rubber and has two different levels of nubs that help exfoliate and gently cleanse the skin.
Now that blue space age looking tube is the super potent night treatment with exclusive and patent pending GFP Cellular complex which acts as a cellular stimulant to encourage the regeneration of new surface cells for younger looking skin.

So I'm going to wash off my makeup and apply some and test it for the next two weeks to see how the combination of retinol, antioxidants, and lipopeptides in a nanoemulsion work for my skin!

Thanks for visiting today and remember to subscribe on the new hub blog: http://cherelynn.com Then come see me this Sunday September 26th at the Arizona Bridal Affair-I'll be doing makeup, booking appointments and boy oh boy do I ever have a sweet giveaway for the brides! See you soon!

Self tanning? Try Comodynes self tanning towelettes

Find out which products will keep you burn-free and looking fabulous this summer

What's The Best Sun Protection For You?
This is a TotalBeauty.com best and worst skin care products article
While it's no fun to apply sunscreen (unless of course someone else does it for you), using these top-rated products will hopefully make it a tad more enjoyable.

Honestly, everything that comes into the blog I test personally. So I was really excited to get a sample for the Body Drench Quick Tan Body Scrub to help slough off the crunchy layer of chlorine dried skin and then smooth on some lovely self tanner color.
I got the mail after I had gone running and taken a shower so instead of a full body slather (there is always tomorrow!) I just did my legs since that is what sticks out on the majority of my normal day. Ooh, the body scrub has a chocolately buttery smell and it's delicous! It gives a foamy lather and doens't have alot of grain/grit to it-so I would categorize it as a medium exfoliant. That is somewhere between ripping skin off and just lightly buffing the tough stuff.
Next I open up the Comodynes self tanning towelette which I have taken to calling my tan glove of love. It doesn't have a chemically smell, in fact it doesn't smell like the usual self tanner at all and the scent is actually quite pleasant. Now for the sake of modesty and your retinas being seared with an image I have refrained from making one large swatch of tan glove love over my nearly translucent white midsection. I have the same body coloring as a shark: dark on the back, light on the belly. You may remember the Comodynes name because they make amazing makeup remover towelettes that you can buy for $4.99 at Trader Joes.

Those things are awesome!

Well, as you can tell I do all my own testing and photography. What I wanted you to see is that this thin cotton glove is saturated with a solution that is browning my legs as I write! I'll post a full 3 hours later photo...later...
My experience with the Comodynes self tanning towelettes is good. No stinky smell, didn't rub off on my clothes or towels. I did wash my hands right after using and I didn't have any discoloring of my palms. So if you get a box of 8 for $12.99 and plan to travel, have a destination wedding or just want to tan yourself on lunch before you go out at night, consider getting these because your officemates will have no idea that at the very moment you are talking to them you are also self tanning.
Enjoy!

Take this quiz to find the perfect sultry eye makeup for your eye shape

What's Your Ideal Smoky Eye Look? Find Out!

Smoky eye makeup is hot almost every season, but especially for spring, so answer these questions to find out how to make the look work for you.

Take quiz

Hello brides to be! Gals getting ready for prom and the rest of us who need to get our feet in the best sandal ready shape ever! I recently tried a sample of the Tree Hut Hawaiian Kukui collection and must say it's lovely!

The sugar scrub does a very soft exfoliation so it removes dead skin cells and softens while lightly scenting all at once! The shea body lotion is very lightweight and absorbs into the skin.

Shea butter is so healing to the skin so if you have winter dryness and need to get ready for your wedding or prom, now is the time to start exfoliating with a sugar body scrub and reapplying much needed oils and moisture in a lotion.

Something worth noting: Tree Hut uses certified organic shea in every product and are known for having perfected the art of using it in each product they make! There are no parabens, it's made in the United States of America and it's easy to get! Just visit your local Walmart or Ulta store.

Psst! I have even seen a four pack of Tree Hut shea body butters in my local Costco...maybe look in yours?

*Remember that April is "Military Appreciation" month and for every comment by an active duty soldier from any branch of the military, a free appreciation gift product will be sent! Just state your name, rank, where you serve and why and Makeup University Inc will send you out a lovely something! Thank you!

I love cleansers and products that do more than one thing-like this ROC cleanser/makeup remover/exfoliator!
It's smooth, soft grit that is fine and not a scrub that leaves your skin red after using, and it feels rich and moisturizing on my face after I have rinsed it off. It made a nice lather, that was foamy and had very little scent.
If you like a product that does double or triple duty even, try this one. You just may love it too!
Find out more about it by visiting http://www.rocskincare.com/  and you can purchase it at most drugstores, Walmarts, Targets and even my Fry's Marketplace carries it.

In case you are wondering, it did not burn my eyes or nose, and yes, it removed my mascara. Perfect!

Alba Botanica Rainforest Gentle Acai Renewal Scrub

Don't be afraid of the box -- with these tips it's a snap to color your hair
21 Tips for Perfect At-Home Hair Color
Coloring your hair at home is a great way to save money, and if you do it right no one will even know the difference. Of course, it can be a little tricky, that's why we put together these tips to help get you through the process drama-free and with fabulous results.

This tube of goodness! It's an antioxidant filled scrub that uses super fine walnut shell based exfoliants. Oh does it feel so good! It's similiar to Dermalogica Microfoliant in texture though has a rich, earthy, nutty scent that is subtle yet good.

The scrub combines Acai Nut Powder, Cupuacu Butter and Andiroba Oil to soften while revealing healthy skin underneath winter dryness.

It's ideal for all skin types, contains certified organic botanicals, is hypo-allergenic, pH balanced and 100% vegetarian with no animal testing.

Funny how I got this sample: I came by it sideways as I was researching HCG Diet Protocol products that would be congruent with the original Dr. Simeons transcript of how to effectively adhere to the diet.

The results of my research were laborious and intense only to come to the final conclusion that Dr. Simeons in his "Pounds and Inches" manuscript said only two things were approved and only in extreme cases of dryness: mineral oil and petroleum jelly.

I find that difficult to swallow since they are the two things I would never want to put on my skin. Alas, his reasons are "because they don't penetrate the skin and only moisturize on the surface level".

These rich natural butters and oils do exactly what they are supposed to: slowly absorb into the upper dermis and moisturize the skin, feeding it and plumping it.

For all of you not on the HCG diet protocol, go get some Alba Botanica Rainforest Gentle Acai Renewal Scrub at your local Sprouts or Whole Foods! Visit their website for more information at http://www.albabotanica.com/

Noah's Naturals anti-aging skin care

TotalBeauty.com
Quiz: Are You Wearing the Wrong Foundation?

Find out and see which formulas are really right for you

Are you tired of your foundation looking a bit "off"? It can be daunting to find the right formula (not to mention the shade!) for you, but this quiz can help.

Take the quiz

Whee! It's been a whirlwing of travel and in the middle of it all some lovely samples arrived just in time for me to test before a full week of Nissan at the marathon and Barrett Jackson car auction begin.

What I love about Noah's Naturals most is their commitment to being paraben free! The new line is an anti-aging wash, soft exfoliating scrub and a topical anti-aging gel that is not synthetic in it's base/emulsion.

I just got off the road, literally, washed, scrubbed and applied a few drops of the gel serum. Nice. Good smell, lovely texture, rinsed clean and the gel/serum smoothes on and is beginning to absorb.

Today is day one...more tomorrow on day two and I'll be sticking to this routine for the next week to give you the full report. As you know with most skincare, on first try you either like it enough to give it a chance or immediately file in the round container next to the only seat in the room.

I can tell you this far that the wash removed my makeup and mascara ( only two coats today!) and the scrub was soft and velvety. So kudos so far! Tune in tomorrow for more!
