How to Start 2022 Off Right - Write It | Live It | Journal it with this available on Amazon

Hi ya Gorgeous!

In preparation for 2022, I'm sharing this journal now at the beginning of the month so you have time to grab one and follow along in the goal setting series coming up  this week. The plan is to begin writing the vision, and making it plain so you can run with it.

These are some strange days. You can navigate them better when you have a map, that you create for your family, health, finances and future. Here's how King James version says : And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Writeth it. Readeth it. Often! When you use the GPS, you check it often when in a new territory, right? That's where we are at right now. New territory. You need to navigate the new season we are in and be prepared for any goodness or tribulation that comes your way. Best way to plan is to write it down.

Get some copies today for yourself and your family or friends - then join me online as we do some planning together!

Get yours on Amazon here:

HI ya Gorgeous!

Thank you so much for being here today! It's soooo goood to pick up on REsolve Tuesday! Again, my sincere apologies for missing several weeks! You are worth it! Keep going in your pursuit of your 2019 goals!

There are about 60 days left in 2019 - what are you going to take massive action on now to see those goals and dreams come into fruition? Please don't quit on yourself and have excuses that sound like:

"I don't have enough: time, money, energy, help, support, blah blah blah". Why?
Because you are worth it. If you don't do it for yourself, no one else will.
If you don't do it now, you will wait another year.
Then guess what?

This time next year you will be in the same spot doing the same thing wishing for the same change.
The time is now.
Go for it!

REsolve Tuesday - What is your word for the remainder of 2019?

Hi ya Gorgeous!

How ya doin'! Today's June REsolve Tuesday topic is - one word. Like a horse who wears blinders to help them run the race or plow the field, choosing a target word to help you pin point your action tasks can help you succeed in what you are focusing on.

What is one word you can use to help you focus your goals and tasks down to a manageable moment on the fly? How you can you help yourself with a "trigger" word that would, as Tony Robbins says "will change your state?".

I just did a personal coaching session and she helped me narrow down to "HARMONY" and it's amazing! Now, when it comes time for family/fitness/finances/career ...in my action steps I can use "harmony" as my divining tool to laser pin point my focus.

So good! Try it! Find a word to tie together all of your efforts! Let me know in the comments if this helped you!

Muah!

REsolve Tuesday: Don't Quit! Even When You Feel Like It!

 Hi ya Gorgeous!
Happy Tuesday! Happy summer vacation and in case you like me have a heinous commute for the school year - happy no more commuting!

Oh it's the little things in life that bring such joy! Like, not having to do the 4 hour round trip grind of commuting - we both hate it! Ugh!

Though that is not what is at the top of the list for today's REsolve Tuesday topic, it's actually, don't quit.

See, we both hated the commute but it was so important to do it. So we did. There could be something that you are working towards, or on, or waiting to see the end of the tunnel light peek through and though you may be wanting to just give in and give up, to quit, I'm here to tell you, don't!

Don't quit!

Even when you feel like it!  You will be more mad at yourself for quitting than you will if you stick it out.  I have read numerous accounts of people who have survived suicide and they all say they regretted it the nano second that they jumped off the bridge, swallowed the pills or slit the wrists.
Regret can be a powerful thing.  These suicide survivors were hurting so bad the moment before hurting themselves though the power of life is such a precious gift that the moment they tried to give it back, they regretted it!

So I tell ya, no matter what the struggle is right now - please don't give up. Find one wee piece of joy that you can hang on to that could help you make it through.  People who work the 12 steps for addiction recovery, sometimes start with just focusing on the hour.  Make it through this hour. Then the next.

Start planning on your calendar - write it down - the victories you have enjoyed and how you are going to celebrate the next one!

You can do it! I'm cheering you on!

p.s. Why no video today? Because I keep melatonin in my bedside stand and it is right next to my morning thyroid medicine. Sure, I should have seen this coming and it has honestly never happened until today.  This morning, in the wee 5 am early light, I fumbled in the drawer for the pill bottle and as I swallowed I noticed, the pill shape was different! Talk about the feeling of regret!

I had swallowed the melatonin instead of thyroid medicine and as there was no getting the pill back I had to adjust my day to half of the workload because I knew that I would be spending the other half asleep!

12 Days of Giving with Pedispa by LOOKBeauty

Hi ya Gorgeous!
Happy Monday to you! I love a Monday! Today's 12 Days of Giving is with Pedispa by LOOKBeauty Intensive Moisturizing Footmask.

These booties of moisturizing ingredients like shea butter,  apple extract and peppermint are a great way to treat yourself to a 20 minute break! You can use these anywhere as they are convenient and not messy. So at your work desk, why not slip a pair on while you eat lunch and really relax for 20 minutes taking a break from the stress of the workday!

At home, you can put a pair on and prop your feet up while relaxing with your favorite book or tv show.

Most importantly, these Pedispa intensive moisturizing foot mask, or the exfoliating version by Pedispa are a great way to trigger yourself to do some very important self care in this ultra busy holiday season.

Two pairs of beauty booties are included in the package and this holiday pack has an added bonus of a foot file.

Tell someone the truth. Sometimes it’s really hard, but it’s what friends do.  Booya and amen to this. I would rather have the cold hard truth spoken to me in love rather than have a friend be fair weather and hold back a word of correction for me.

Truth can help you grow.  So maybe, in a loving way, tell someone the truth they need to see and hear!

Keep up the great work of practicing random acts of kindness this holiday season!

Tips for Doing a Self Examination to Help Keep Skin Cancer in Check

Hi ya Gorgeous!

I've got an important guest post for you today to help you with self checking for skin cancer!

September is National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, making it a great time for people to hone their self examination skills. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, one in every five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime, adding to the 5.4 million new cases that are diagnosed each year in the country. Being diligent about skin cancer all year long is the best way to beat the odds and keep risks of getting it lower.
“The American Academy of Dermatology reports that skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the country,” explains Katherine Goldman, celebrity esthetician/waxologist and owner of the Stript Wax Bar.

“The good news is that there are plenty of things we can do to help minimize the risks of getting it.”
Skin cancer is when the cells in the skin have been damaged by tanning beds or the sun. Those damaged cells begin to quickly multiply out of control and they form a tumor. Doing routine self examinations is the best way to catch possible skin cancer sites early so they can be treated. To conduct a self examination, keep these tips in mind:
  • Twice a year, conduct a self examination of the entire body.
  • While examining the entire body, look for moles, birthmarks, beauty marks or any brown marks.
  • Once you have identified those particular marks, pay attention to whether or not they change in color, size, and texture. Look for any spots that are irregularly shaped or that are larger than the size of a pencil eraser.
  • Also, look for skin growths that appear brown, black, translucent, pearly, or multicolored, as well as those that may be sore, hurt, itch, bleed, or scab.
  • If you find spots that meet the criteria and are concerning, be sure to have them check out by a doctor.
“Along with regular examinations, it’s important to protect the skin from the start,” added Goldman. “We need to take measures from the start to help keep our skin safe from the sun and to choose safer tanning options. Our spray tanning is very popular, looks great, and helps people avoid the UV light risks.”
Skin cancer is caused by exposure to ultraviolet light, which is a known carcinogen. There are 419,000 cases of skin cancer each year that are linked to indoor tanning. Despite the information available about the dangers of tanning beds, many people are still putting themselves at risk. Spray tans are a healthier way to have a tan, because they allow people to avoid tanning by being in the sunlight or using tanning beds.  People can still have the same bronzed and beautiful look, without all of the health risks of going to a tanning bed. Plus, it’s estimated that 90 percent of skin aging is caused by sun exposure, so people can protect their skin from cancer and from aging at the same time when they opt for a spray tan, rather than tanning in the sun or a tanning bed.
