Breast cancer awareness month is in full swing for October. To honor my friends and family members who are survivors of any form of cancer, I am offering 20% off any workshop or product and I will donate the proceeds plus match the amount with my own money and send it at the end of the month to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
It important to support your ladies going through chemo with great skin care: non petrochemical, non mineral oil products that are organic ingredient based. Think the stuff you buy from Wild Oats, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, Arbonne, Jane Iredale and Burt's Bees.
You can get skin care, body care and cosmetics that are 1/10th' of the harmful ingredients of mainstream cosmetics.
It's up to you to read the label and be informed. From Sephora, the Stella line ( yes, she also makes a fragrance and clothes) or Davies Gate and Korres are amazing choices.
You can do it. Your skin and health are worth it. Chemo treated skin needs the mildest of mild soap and very thin layers of moisturizer that are reapplied frequently so damaged skin can slowly absorb it and receive the benefit of it.
The more moisturized and built up the skin is on the outside, the better it can receive a colored product like a cosmetic. Try stains and hydrating foundations.
Way to go ladies of the cancer surviving world! I'm proud of you!
See you at the Octoberfest or a workshop coming this week.
