Mascara and getting ready for costume makeup

Maybelline New York Intense XXL Volume & Length Waterproof Microfiber Mascara

This dual-wanded mascara has fat brushes and contains the unpopular white primer, but it's the only one I've tried that delivers a false-lash look and passes the surf test.

Happy Monday!
Okay, mascara is by far my most favorite cosmetic item. It started out in a pan as a dark powder and a small feather brush that you would wet, then make a paste solution out of the pan of dark powder then apply to your lashes and let dry.

I'm sure you can see the challenges that would arise with this method: smudging, flaking, not thick and big enough to your liking without putting on five coats! And then there's the clumping!

Today's beauty bit is about a new mascara, I have not tried this one myself, though I will and let you know my two cents. In fact, I'm ready for mascara. The L'Oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black is dead.

*Newsflash* As you are getting ready for costume makeup and dressing up this month, remember that taking it off is as important as putting it on. The theatre style makeups are thicker textured and a wee more toxic than the average jar of cover girl.

You will need a good astringent cleanser, some exfoliation, and toning to get it off thoroughly and have no residue on your skine. Remember to moisturize afterwards!
