Happy February 2021 - wow - how is it already the second month of the year? Time and days have been flying by for me and I'm so thankful to receive this gift of the new Find Your Happy Place collection of body products from Unilever.

It's just what a busy working and distance learning mom needs! 

I recently took time to spend time in nature on a hike, which is my happy place! 

I carried the pocket sized hand creme with me and thank goodness I did! The Goldstrike trail in Nevada has 8 belaying ropes that you have to use to drop down in to the canyon. I did not have gloves with me, though I had the rose scent infused Find Your Happy Place hand creme to sooth my sore hands! 

The trail is well worth the effort it takes to get down to the Colorado river and see the other side of the Interstate 11 bridge that connects Arizona with Nevada.

Now look closely on this picture? Can you see the possible prehistoric embedding of a chicken? Or a large long wing bone? I think I may have discovered a new dinosaur fossil! NOW-before I go any further, I ask your forgiveness for if you look closely at the photo you can see some unblended setting powder! Oh the horror!

It is the first cardinal rule of makeup application-
to blend, blend, blend and when you think that you have blended enough-blend some more!

Miss Kourtney I am so sorry! She was a great sport for coming by the studio on a short notice for a fast series of 4 different looks in an hour-that's fast! No wonder I waned on the blending?

Now, back to the MUD (Makeup Designory) Valentines Day smokey mossy eye-
I applied an eyeshadow primer first.

Then the color Tea Tree which is a rich emerald green color all over the lid from the lash line to the crease.

I use the MUD Moss color in the crease and around the corner of the eye and along the bottom lash line. I make a thick smudgy line with

the Moss shadow and then go over it with black pencil. I use the MUD cake eyeliner which is water activated to blend into the consistency that you like to work with along the top lash line with a bold wing effect at the top of the eye corner.

I finish with two thick coats of mascara. Kourtney is wearing Luminess Airbrush foundation in F8, the pink blush from Luminess
her lips are unlined and filled in with a sheer pink gloss.

Answers and update to the HCG Diet Protocol

How is your Valentines day going so far? Mine is awesome; and just before I eat this bacon wrapped steak seared in butter and covered in bleu cheese, I just wanted to give some answers and updates to the HCG protocol and how it's working for me.

Now, I do not have a ton of weight to lose, but more or less the last stubborn ten that have been around since puberty.

All this time I have yo-yo'd and this time is no different. After reading Dr. Trudeau's book on the process and also reading Dr. Simeons' book also, I still get two sides: one says it's a diet that resets your hypothalmus glad and the other says it's a good detoxification diet that will cleanse and correct all the things that are wrong from living in our society today.

Hmm, well I don't have any results to speak of yet, though I am on day two of the homeopathic drops that I ordered off the internet.

The first two days of the "protocol" are the fat stuffing of yourself so you have fuel to burn during the very low calorie days.  Yesterday was weird. I felt guilty for eating the very thing that is necessary for the protocol to work but I have spent a lifetime saying "this is not what I should be eating". 

What was it I ate you say? The new ad on TV from Wendy's. The black and bleu burger with bacon. I had that and fries and a frosty. I felt like I was cheating not "loading". It had an immediate impact on my weigh in today and put an extra two pounds on.

I understand that this is normal and the pounds come off during the VLCD ( very low calorie days). Great.
So that leaves me on Valentines day to pack on the fat with this steak smothered in butter and cheese wrapped in fatty bacon. While I'm at it, I'm going to wash it all down with a beer. May as well, I need it to burn later this week...

1.. Put some lipstick on your hand.

Then you know the lipstick contains lead.
