I call this "factual fiction" and it is a fast paced scientific'y novel about a CME or ELE that could actually happen in real life. Making the book all the more a thriller! The lippie is a PeriPera ink airy velvet 25 in the Peaches collection. 

Oh how I loves me some PeriPera lippies! I found this brand at a CVS in Burbank back in the lock down. The lip products are usually about $15.

Amazon Advent Calendars 2022 | Order Now and Be Ready to Celebrate

So, supply chain, schmupply chain. I say, with some advanced planning now you can have the Christmas items that you want for your family. I like to err on the side of caution and planning and though I normally wait for the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales to get my gifts. Not this year. I'm doing all of the shopping now. Is Pineapple an Anti-Inflammatory Food?

Here's the thing - I'm slowly - ever so slowly switching and adding the anti-inflammatory foods into a regular meal plan to stick to as an anti-inflammatory diet. 

 

I did follow the week menu that I found here on YouTube. It was good - but - personally, too much food prep to fit into my busy schedule. It's a work in progress for me.

 I am adding in more fresh pineapple because I love this fruit and it has more benefits than you can shake a stick at!

Fanola- No Orange Test - How to tone brassy orange box color results to be less in between colory

HI ya Gorgeous! 

Welcome to MakeupUniversity and today's experiment on myself. 

I've been slowly, gently working the pandemic box of brown ordered off of Amazon out of my hair. That box of medium brown really looks light black on me. 

 

I've been to the salon for professional highlights to begin the process. Now I'm using a lightening kit at home - again - ordered off of Amazon. I am liking the L'Oreal kit process and look. 

Yet! 

My old box brown has lightened to that weird orange tone. Even with using the purple conditioner - I need to tone this brass down. Enter Fanolo. I found the product though a google search for "how to tone brassy hair at home".

This video demonstrates me using it for the first time on DRY hair. Then I washed a second time with the Fanola shampoo in the shower.

OGX Shampoo & Conditioner Litigation - What You Need to Know - The "make up" of a lawsuit

Welcome to the Monday blog for MakeupUniversity. There is some hullabaloo and fluff afoot for the very popular drugstore brand, OGX.  I have been a fan for some time. They are in court about some of their ingredients.

There is some talk amongst the beauty bloggers about the OGX brand having multiple shampoo and conditioners that have DMDM Hydantoin as an ingredient which is known when activated in water, can cause cancer.

I saw on IG, that Kandee Johnson was talking about this and she did not know about the ingredient and its effects on the body when doing her collabs with the brand. I have bought so many of those products! I love the smell and supporting her. Tenth Street Hats - Country Western Style for Summer Fashion - a first impression

Summer is here and it's time to up your sun care for your skin care! How about adding a hat? 

Meet Tenth Street.

I received this hat as a sample to review and blog about. I was offered the option to select a hat of my choice to review. I wanted a beautiful, dark wool cloche hat that would go perfect with my short summer hair and upcoming travel.

What I got was this left over from Toby Keith's performance in 1993 western hat. It's too small for my big head. There is a $10 restocking fee to return the hat.

I suspect that I pulled the measuring tape to tight around my head and that's why the size is too small. I bet with some sweat and wear, the fit would loosen up and feel better.

This western hat has a synthetic feeling straw to it and the hat band is faux leather and turquoise plastic. If you are going to a summer concert or outdoor festival, this could be a good option for you?

Back to the bit about sun care and skin care. A physical barrier to the sun for your skin is a great way to protect yourself and adding a hat to your outdoor time is a perfect way to layer up protection. First apply the sunscreen, then apply a hat to block your face from damaging UVA and UVB rays. 

 

If you haven't added a hat to your summer skincare - consider it!
