 This year took a decade to pass. Or so it feels? Now that there are 31 days and counting, when would now be a good time to pick up a good book? I was sent this copy of The Red Menace: How Lipstick Changed the Face of American History and I really enjoyed the read. I like beauty history and how cosmetics shaped women, the view of them in society and how they feel they see themselves.

I'm a strong proponent of a lipstick has the power to change your day, change your mood, even change your life. A bold red lip can make a gal feel confident. 

Like Bourjois, the 1863 cosmetics company founded in Paris France. This vintage lipstick, Ashes of Roses by Bourjois is mentioned in the book. 

What is your go to red lipstick? Mine is Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet.

Find Your Happy Place - Wrapped In Your Arms - Just in Time for Valentine's Day

Happy February 2021 - wow - how is it already the second month of the year? Time and days have been flying by for me and I'm so thankful to receive this gift of the new Find Your Happy Place collection of body products from Unilever.

I recently took time to spend time in nature on a hike, which is my happy place! 

I carried the pocket sized hand creme with me and thank goodness I did! The Goldstrike trail in Nevada has 8 belaying ropes that you have to use to drop down in to the canyon. I did not have gloves with me, though I had the rose scent infused Find Your Happy Place hand creme to sooth my sore hands! 

The trail is well worth the effort it takes to get down to the Colorado river and see the other side of the Interstate 11 bridge that connects Arizona with Nevada.

Now look closely on this picture? Can you see the possible prehistoric embedding of a chicken? Or a large long wing bone? I think I may have discovered a new dinosaur fossil! So, Arizona has been in BTS since July 20th with the majority going back on August 3rd. Even our 3 state colleges, U of A, ASU and NAU are all back in.
