101 Do It Yourself Masks - First Impressions from the book by Jennifer McCartney

Ooh girl - oh, this came in and it's two birds in one package! Can I get an amen?
See, I love books, and I love skincare. The 12 year old me, loved skincare and I started out by using my older sisters 3 step Neutrogena system. She had acne and it helped her - so, I just got in to her stuff!  Sorry not sorry Peanut!

This book I received, thank you very much Jennifer McCartney, 101 Do-It-Yourself Face Masks is a beautiful book of knowledge and recipes with simple to follow instructions!

Oh! I love it! It arrived late morning and I began to pour through it and test the recipes. Love.
So, this is good - even if you are not a book reader - get this. Why?
Because it's perfect for a gift, to yourself - and to friends and families.

I think this book would be perfect for Girl Scout Troop leaders as well as cheerleading captains and coaches!  Get this book for your sorority and for your 4-H group as well as squadron.

Why? Because it's easy, affordable and effective! Ha! Get it!
Now, how? I don't know. I received a sample and when I went to Amazon to buy a second copy, there was not a copy to be bought!

How to Gua Sha Lymphatic Drainage Massage at home with Nature's Secret

Now in a commitment to a healthier self care regime, I tested a jade roller from Nature's Secret to do at home Gua Sha lymphatic drainage massage.  I know I'm over worked and stressed beyond belief and getting in for a full body massage is next to impossible. But! I can do some ancient Chinese secret to health and beauty massage at home using the Gua Sha technique.

I have two videos for you demonstrating both the jade roller and the Gua Sha tool.

This first video shows you how to do the Gua Sha lymphatic drainage facial massage using the flat with notch jade tool.  The secret is to do it nightly or at a minimum 3 times per week and using light pressure.




To clean your tool, simply rinse it off and wipe clean.  You can keep it in the refrigerator for added coolness  to the touch, though I find that the natural stone has a cool feel to it, naturally!

How to Get Spring Break Vegan Beauty

Hi Navitas, sing along with me to the David Cassidy song " I think I love you"! When a bag of Cacao sweet nibs showed up for the blog I was intrigued. So I immediately opened the lip balm and applied for maximum Cacao nib eating.
Wow! Crunchy! Chocolatey! And good for me! I feel so Peruvian now in eating these it makes me want to put a bowler hat on.

The Cacao sweet nibs are made of organic cacao, some organic cane juice and I'm guessing a whole lotta love though it's not listed on the ingredient panel.

In my area, Whole Foods in Tempe is the closest I can buy some so I'm thinking I better get on the fast track to ordering online.

I'm putting these nibs on my triathlon training nutrition plan because I'm thinking I will swim/bike/run even fast and further when I dip my half a banana smeared with peanut butter into these nibs! Yummo!

Now go look at their website and specifically at the Team Navitas photos because in my opinion that is the best looking cast of characters I've seen since Dallas went off the air. I think they look so good because they are eating these nibs! I want one of each so excuse me while I go order.

Seriously now, I try alot of products though I keep coming back to some favorites in the Zia Natural line. They just feel good while washing and take off my makeup, even the mascara load. I really enjoyed the Oceanic clay cleanser, though the green gel cleanser is so good for grimey oily skin that is saturated in sunscreen and has been sweating too!

I was working outside for three days at the local Phoenix International Raceway NASCAR race and the sun and sunscreen and oily dirty icky got to me! I used the green "fresh"cleanser on those evenings and after I had a sunburned face from working outside for ten hours straight I switched to the soybean based moisturizing cleanser and it was calming to my red irritated skin.

Oh you guys have got to try this! It's so lovely-rich textured, creamy, smooth, feels luxurious on the skin and yet deeply cleans without feeling taut and dry?
