Hello Gorgeous!
Things are just a whirlwind here. Between the back to school efforts, homework, events and bookings plus blogging for the upcoming award shows, sheesh!
The EMMY's are almost here! As well as the MTV Video Music Awards. And it's also time for some much needed Labor Day weekend beauty prep. Let's start at the beginning, getting red carpet ready.
I have a haul of Mary Kay samples for a red carpet look.
The Mary Kay at Play electric blue eyeliner is perfect for a pop of color in an otherwise grey smokey eye look. It's just $10! It wears really well and I've used it alone and in a full eyeshadow look and both times it wore great. It also has a nib. Not a brush and not a hard marker applicator, it's a flexible rubber like nib. Love it!
I absolutely hate the lipstick case, but the feel and texture of the lipstick is smooth and buttery with lots of lasting moisture. If only it weren't in that weird hollow, hover over the top of the lipstick case! I'm wearing the Mary Kay true dimensions lipstick in Pink Cherie. Love it!
This is such a great gel eyeliner and mini compact lining brush-now, this set is perfect for the Back to School locker, Labor Day weekend travel bag and just keeping in your desk for when you need to take your day makeup to night makeup, toot sweet!
This Mary Kay gel eyeliner duo is just $18.00 and a little bit goes a long way!
This lip gloss and the bright blue eyeliner and are my faves of this red carpet look-I love the smooth and slick feel of the lip gloss. It's $15.00 and the color is Au Naturel from Mary Kay nourishine plus lip gloss.
This is the Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara in Jet Black and it's supposed to be a volumizing, super thickening, lengthening mascara. Take a look, what do you think?
I like it but I don't love it. It feels a bit wet for me on the lashes and seems to take some time to dry. Don't take my word for it, get your Mary Kay Ultimate mascara for $15.00 here.
I was very surprised at how velvety soft and blendable these eye shadows are from Mary Kay.
To get my red carpet smokey eye on, I used Mary Kay mineral eye color in Moonstone which is a shimmer and Driftwood which is a matte shadow.
This long-lasting, fade-resistant, mineral-based formula delivers weightless, high-impact color in one swipe with a natural, luminous finish that looks gorgeous on any skin tone.
The Mary Kay makeup setting spray is in partnership with Makeup University's old friend Skindinavia. It truly is one of the best makeup setting sprays because it keeps the surface temp of the skin from melting your makeup. Awesome!
Remember: you are beautiful! Thank you for visiting the blog and check back for promotions and beauty giveaways!
