Hello Gorgeous! Kate Middleton is getting married in a few hours!

Here is a short photo tutorial of a simple bridal look for going from commoner at one moment to
a royal princess in the other!
I'm using primarily all Borghese products in the photos.
The foundation is a mineral powder called Milano in Light by Borghese.

Next I apply my brows with Sophia by Brow Diva.
Then it's onto eyes with Borghese Amalfi Coastal Plums.
The colors are rich and wear really well-plus take great pictures!




The lightest shade in the center is all over the eye and on the brow bone.
Then the right shade, which is a taupe tone is all over the lid and I contour with the left shade which is the darkest.

I'm using my own brushes which are a mix of Smashbox, Arbonne and of course, Brow Diva!

Now, I do not know who is doing Kate Middleton's makeup and hair for the wedding. Let alone what products are being applied-but I'm sure all of the details will come out tomorrow after the ceremony!

Now here is the kicker! I'm using the Milani eyeliner in purple to bring out my green eyes. Kate's eyes look like a sparkly green/blue hazel, soa
purple shade will make them appear more so!



I'm finishing my face with simple blush contouring using Borghese Blush Milano in Rosa Billante.
Of course, I have dusted my face with Makeup Forever HD powder to set everything.
Now if I was truly walking down the aisle at this moment I would reset my makeup with Skindinavia heat proof makeup spray.


I line my lips with a nude liner, and then finish the entire look with Borghese B Moisture lipstick in Pinkissima.
In my opinion, you can never have enough shades of pink lipstick or lipgloss.
The photo you don't see is I have applied a set of false lashes and sealed it with L'Oreal Voluminous
mascara.
So there it is ! The look of or possibly, a bride to be going from commoner to royal in a day!
It reminds me of the Bible story of a nation, Israel, being built in a day! Miracles really do happen! All the time!
Now, the real question is-now that I have all this makeup on-and I pick up Mancub from school...what to do and wear to go?

Okay, wait til you see the before and afte pics on this product! I love that it doesn't smell chemically like other brands, and it does give a nice brown hue to the skin instead of a orangey one.
I encourage you to familiarize yourself with a self tanner, find a brand you like and maybe even try this one. Do you know why? Because skin cancer is on the rise in young twentysomethings and it's not from over exposure at the beach or in my town at the Salt River tubing party; it's from the proliferation of indoor tanning beds.
Here is a patch of bare skin ready to be "self tanned".

So do yourself and your skin a favor, try some Nature's Gate ( get it at Sprouts!) sunless tanner.

This is a second coat of the Nature's Gate sunless tanner being applied to a patch of pale and bare skin.

Here's a quickie how to apply sunless tanner and not look funky:
1. Exfoliate the area, or your whole body! I recommend using the scrubby gloves that are like a dollar at Walmart. Apply a scrub to the scrubby gloves, this can be something lovely like Quick Tan sunless tanning prep scrub or the St. Ives apricot scrub which I find to be too harsh for my face but great for my knees, elbows and heels.

2. Apply a paraben free lotion to the bendy parts of you: meaning toe knuckles, elbows, knees, ankles so that the lotion fills in the wee skin folds.

3. Apply and rub in the self tanner and stand in a big X until it's dry. This could be a minute, could be five. The point is, the more you move while the product still feels tacky to your touch the more chance you have of streaking.

Buy a spray kind for your back or have some help. :) Enjoy it friends!

How to Get Long, Thick Lust-Worthy Lashes

These pro tricks will take your mascara to a whole new level

So you just bought that top-rated mascara. Now what? Put it to good use! It's all about using the right techniques to get your longest, thickest lashes ever. See tips

Oy! Mascara is my most favorite beauty product ever! Though I slather my weight in lip gloss yearly;  I would still pick mascara as my all time can't live without cosmetic.

With that said, now I would like to share a bit about you and your lashes and what have you done for them lately?

You know, when it comes to eyelashes: this isn't your mother's era of beauty and maintenance.  Our moms started with a pan of dark brown emulsion and a brush that had to be made wet, then mixed into the dried emulsion to make a slip that would then be brushed onto the lashes.

Oh no, those days are gone honey! Here's my wee two cents and recommendations for taking the best care of your lashes and getting the most out of one of your most beautiful features: your eyes!

1. Use a growth primer. I have not tried Latisse so I have no comment there. Though I have had great success with these brands and can honestly say that if you buy them, you will see results:

• Talika Lipocils
• Lash Food
• NeuLash
• Arbonne Virtual lash

I have seen in the stores that L'Oreal now makes a growth primer too and it's in the ten dollar range. So there is no excuse!

2. You need to use a gentle eye makeup remover. Place the saturated pad of cotton on your eye, hold and let the remover start to dissolve your mascara and then ever so gently begin to rub the product off.  The less scrubbing and rubbing you do on your lashes the longer they will stay.   Remember a lash has a life cycle of about 28-30 days.

3. Take note of your mascara-for those of you who can not give up your waterproof please read the above statement about using a remover.  When the residual mascara lays on the lash and covers the base of the follicle the eye lash hair can't breathe and it suffocates and dies earlier than had you removed all your mascara. I'm not saying give it up or switch to water resistant brands, just be more careful in a complete removal of product build up.

4. There are so many brands to choose from, click through today's beauty bubble to see the favorites among women nationwide. In the meantime here are my favorites:

• L'Oreal: pretty much all of them
• Christian Dior Dior Show
• Arbonne
• Avon mark Scanda Lash ...because of it's wee purse size!
• Maybelline Lash Stiletto
• Lorac
• Bourjois Coup de tetre

You know, when I was learning how to do makeup, we spent weeks on mascara technique. Remember to waggle the brush from the base of the lash to the top. Using the wand with a fresh load of product on it, touch the very tip of each of your lashes, especially in the middle to give them a wee dollop of product and make them stand out more.

To make your lashes appear thicker: dust them with translucent powder first and make sure they are good and coated. Now the mascara will hold onto the powder and the lash and look thicker.

No matter which brand you use or how you apply it: I just know that you are really beautiful. And if no one has told you lately just how amazingly gorgeous you are, then let me be the first today to remind you: YOU ARE PERFECTLY GORGEOUS!

Ladies: with the upcoming celebration of love day racing toward us, you may be considering wearing red lipstick.
WAIT! There are a few things we need to talk about first: such as:
What type of lip products you are going to need?
1.Stain
2.Liner
3.Lipstick
4. Gloss

Also, will you be dining, drinking, kissing and so forth?  I ask this because you need the right products and technique to get the effect you dream of and want to have a lasting impression.  I say this to help you avoid the red feathering lipstick crawling quickly towards your nostril effect of highly pigmented lip products, such as red.

If we were together and I was doing your lips for this big night: I would recommend this routine for a lasting lip look:
1. When you brush your teeth, brush your lips so they are exfoliated and the dry spots and flakes are gently rubbed off
2. Stain your lips! My fave is Benefit Cosmetics Benetint, though Sephora's house brand, Urban Decay, Tarte, Lorac, Vincent Longo even Cover Girl make a lipstain! Use it!  Let it dry, apply another coat, and let it dry completely before moving on.
3. Line your lips: I would use a nude shade (Such as Chanel's Nude liner or N.Y.C. nude) and blend it into the stain with a dry lip brush
4. I would apply a full layer or your red lipstick. My all time favorite is the Satine lip color from the movie Moulin Rouge made by Lorac called Explore. Blot your mouth on a tissue and reapply again.  Your mouth should feel dry to the touch, and be tinted red. If you want more color, apply again and blot again.
5. Finish with your favorite gloss. Here's the fun part: choose the tone/shade/finish you want. Put clear over it, or a red tone, or pink even brown to tailor the shade of red to your outfit and level of drama you want to convey.

If all of this is too much work for your lips: use a red gloss. The H.I.P. line from L'Oreal has a good deep red with lots of color, or a sheer red from Neutrogena lip sheers works too.  Enjoy it ladies!

I personally, am a serum lover! Some of these in the beauty bubble I have used and loved, and some I have used and got blackheads, the kind t hat require professional extraction.

The new L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion does everything and more that it talks about. It's not just hype in my house.

The editorial sample arrived with two instead of one tubes. Bonus! So I tried one and gave the other to my grandma.

My personal experience is that the round brush is funky at first and less of a stroke is more than going at your eyelashes in a whipped up fury like normal isn't going to work with this shape of brush. It's round, with different sized rubberized spikes that can get into, around, beside and on top of all lashes.

So the first time I used it I literally had it all over my eye. Wow, my lashes, ( what they got of the mascara on them) were huge! The formulation is light, has a smooth texture, a medium black tone though I see that it is available in a "blackest black" which would be my personal preference.

There is not a strong scent or odor and it washed off with my regular face wash and water.

Now on the second application, I toned down my aggressive mascara habit and with a g entle wagging of the round brush around the top lashes and bottom, they were once again huge but without all the mess. So, I'm in love and personally feel that L'Oreal makes some of the best drugstore brand mascaras you can get!

Why I titled this post "Grandma's got lashes" is because I gave the extra tube to her. She is a mature, mid 60's lady, in shape, wears makeup and is almost always dressed up. On a particular saturday morning it was the first time since I've known her that I could see through her glasses her eyelashes!

Huge lashes on Grandma? She too loves the L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion mascara and said that she would buy it if it came in waterproof. I'm telling you, I've never noticed her eyemakeup like that before. The product really made a difference in her eyes looking larger and brighter, and the mascara showed up under her glasses. Wow.
