Hello my gorgeous friends! I have a re-post here that I wanted to share with you from the Project Inspired website-it's just good info and I love to share good stuff! So welcome the writings of Ms. Christina Given and her list of "5 Inspiring Companies".
As some of you may know, there are several booming businesses that have a Christian background and foundation. Some of my favorite places to shop and eat have Christian founders or meaning behind them!
Here some top companies with purpose:
Chick-fil-A: Chick-fil-A is known for being closed on Sundays to observe the Sabbath and to honor the day of the Lord.
Our founder, Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. He has often shared that his decision was as much practical as spiritual. He believes that all franchised Chick-fil-A Operators and their Restaurant employees should have an opportunity to rest, spend time with family and friends, and worship if they choose to do so. That’s why all Chick-fil-A Restaurants are closed on Sundays. It’s part of our recipe for success (Chickfila.com).
In-N-Out Burger: The high-quality burgers are wrapped in paper printed with a scripture, and if you peek under an In-N-Out cup, you may find “John 3:16” or other scripture verses written around the rim. Forever 21: We have shared the wonderful scripture t-shirts Forever 21 offers. In addition to selling inspiring attire, the company shares the scripture “John 3:16” on the bottom of its bright yellow shopping bags.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son, that whosoever shall believe in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
TOMS Shoes: While not a Christian company, TOMS displays the Christian value of charity with every pair of shoes it sells. Founder Blake Mycoskie decided that with every pair purchased, the company would give a pair to a child in need.
Watch the video to see how TOMS got started.
GodTube: Yes, the site is a modern Christian video site similar to “YouTube!” GodTube holds a variety of inspiring videos, sermons, music videos and more.
Godtube.com is a video sharing platform offering online Christian videos with faith-based, family friendly content. Popular video sections on GodTube include; Christian bands and singers in Christian music videos, Christian comedians and comedy skits, spoofs and parodies in funny videos, cute videos featuring kids and animals, sports videos, Christian news videos and inspirational videos. Be inspired in your walk with Jesus Christ and grow in your knowledge of the Bible with videos highlighting inspirational messages and verses (Godtube.com).
Clearly, these businesses have put God first and serving others as a priority. Most have committed to sharing not only high-quality products, but also the good news!
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3).

OK, so her impossible Jessica Rabbit-like figure and high cheekbones may be a bit out of reach. But a smile like Sofia Vergara's is not out of the question. Find out how to get a smile worthy of the red carpet in just 30 days.
Hey Gorgeous! How did you enjoy the Oscars? The show was so good this year and I'm so excited to see HUGO win some awards because it was such a good film. Now the celebrities looked gorgeous in a more classic way this year-and I like it! Here's some hairstyling tips from Wella.
Start with dry hair and use a small amount of Wella Professionals Natural Volume Styling Mousse at the roots. Set hair in steam hot rollers by rolling hair straight back from the head. This gives hair texture and curl. Use smaller rollers in the back to create a tighter curl, then pin hair underneath into a faux bob. Lightly mist with Wella Professionals Dynamic Fix 45 Second Crafting Spray, then back comb and tease at the root. Brush out the finger waves into place and set with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray.
OLIVIA WILDE
Styled by Davy Newkirk using Wella Professionals
The Look: While watching the live broadcast of the Oscar’s Red Carpet arrivals, Davy and Olivia opted to go for a chic 70’s inspired updo to complement her strapless Gucci gown that she wore to the 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar Party – a roughed up, simplistic yet super chic updo gave her a timeless and effortlessly beautiful look.
Here’s how Davy created Olivia’s look:
1. First, he rough dried her hair using Wella Professionals Pearl Styler, which worked to give with new short haircut extra texture
2. Then, he gathered her hair at the crown of the head and secure with a bungee cord
3. Davy then teased the ends to rough it up a bit more, for added edgy texture
4. He then loosely twisted the hair around the bungee for a loose structure secure with bobby pins and hair pins
5. To finish, he spray the hair with Wella Professionals Dynamic Fix hairspray, and roughened up the hair with fingers at the root and around the bun, spraying once again with the Dynamic Fix to add sheen and hold the look for the night

Hello Gorgeous! The 84th Annual Oscars are on this Sunday February 26th. *Sigh* I would like Billy Crystals job, or at least to co-host with him? I can't do it this Sunday because I'm already booked. Though next year-I can pencil in the gig!
The celebrities who are going to be on the red carpet for the 84th Annual Oscars have already booked their favorite hair and makeup artists teams. In fact, they were booked well in advance of the show.
Though if you are going to be on the red carpet I have a few tips for you to look your absolute most radiant and best.
3 simple tips to getting red carpet ready are: A. Have a well hydrated self from the inside and out: drink your water and make sure that your face, hands, neck and decollete are all moisturized. Keep a can of misting water close by too! Just before you put your makeup on: mist. As soon as you finish your makeup, mist! B. Focus on one area: choose either dramatic eyes, or dramatic lips but don't do both because it can be too over powering and messy looking. A classic smokey eye updated in colors-like a smokey green, or smokey purple. Remember, smokey is the technique more than the color.
If it's all about the bold lip color-then update it with a bold coral, bright raspberry or deep purple. Just keep the eyes in a simple matching liner with a coat of mascara and you'll look gorgeous.
C. You need some major underwear for the red carpet: now is the time to invest in great underwear/lingerie. Don't splurge on dress, shoes and handbag and not on lingerie. You need a girdle, or long bra, or tight shapewear to push all your bumps and bulges into one smooth and seamless figure to look great in the dress.
Note: makeup only looks good on good skin-so take care of the skin first and worry about the makeup second.
Other note: the dress only looks as good as the figure-so plan your undergarments before you plan your dress! An expensive designer gown on bumps won't look so hot. Though an off the rack on a rockin' figure will be a red carpet photo opportunity!

Hello Gorgeous! On February 17th a new Reese Witherspoon movie was released called "This Means War" with Chris Pine as one of her co-stars.
I have not seen the movie, along with I have not seen War Horse or Chronicle, or The Vow or Journey 2. Why? Long story-ask me later.
In the meantime I have seen the trailer online and it does seem funny?
So I have created a Reese Witherspoon's This Means War character named Lauren. To get the look I used all AVON products and the details are listed here:
Foundation: Avon Extra Lasting in Buff Blush: Crushed Berry creme stick-so awesome Brows: Glimmersticks soft black brow definer Eyes: True Color Romantic Mauves Mascara: Super Extend in black (the sample sent was Super Shock in waterproof brown-just not something I would ever use, but the brush is a hard rubber kind)
Now: here is the shining star of the Avon products used to create the Lauren character look for Reese Witherspoon in This Means War.
This lipstick is by Avon, called a Shine Attract and I'm wearing the color Rose Pink. It's part gel lipstick part firm gloss? Makeup Alley reviews are not very good for it-but I love it! Just a hint of color but alot of shine, very smooth on the mouth. I am not tasting or smelling any strong chemicals as what was stated on the Makeup Alley reviews? Basically-I think it's a perfect day time answer to a little bit of lip color and a lot of shine!

Marchesa’s Fall 2012 collection found inspiration in William Adolphe Bouguereaus’ famed 1878 portrait, “A Soul Brought to Heaven.” The classically angelic figures in the painting were brought to life in the collection through frothy tulles, embroidered brocades and pleated silks.
Talia Shobrook, the lead makeup artist for the show, drew from the otherworldly etherealness of the collection to create a makeup look that was “my vision of an angel, brought to life through a luminous palette.”
FACE
Shobrook stated “iridescent, porcelain skin was the foundation of the look and evoked the untouched perfection of angels.”
· Talia first moisturized the skin with Laura Mercier Mega-Moisturizer Crème
· She then applied a mixture of Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer and Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance to the entire face to give it an iridescent base
· Next, she used Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation to lend the skin a porcelain, marbleized look
· Lastly, she highlighted the face with the mixture of Laura Mercier Hydrating Foundation Primer and Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance to give it luminosity
LIPS
Talia then “applied a cherubic lip, with a stained effect to modernize the look.”
· Talia mixed Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Merlot and Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Haute Red (NEW: Available Fall 2012) and applied to the center of the mouth
· She then pressed in the color with her fingertips to allow the pigment to bleed outwards
EYES
According to Shobrook, “the ethereal eye lent an incandescent glow to the entire look.”
· Talia first applied Laura Mercier NEW Eye Canvas to the lid to set a base
· Next, she applied the Laura Mercier Illuminating Eye Colour in Gilded Moonshine (NEW: Available Fall 2012) as a liner around the entire edge of the eye
· Laura Mercier Center Faux Lashes were used to give the eye a rounded shape
· Talia finished by applying several coats of Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara Remember: you are beautiful! Thank you for visiting the blog and check back for promotions and beauty giveaways!

Hello Gorgeous! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful trip for your long weekend as we celebrate the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington on Monday February 20th.
I am on holiday and while I am out traveling I have packed my sample of the Bloxsun spf 50 scarf.
True-we normally think of putting sunscreen on in a creme or spray-oils even, but this revolutionary sunblock is an accessory to your swimsuit or outdoor excercise gear! I love the gloves because I ride my bike, run and swim-all outdoors! I'm constantly in the sun!
In fact- while traveling I pit stopped along historic Route 66 in Kingman Arizona. Just like the song says-get your kicks on Route 66!
I have my Bloxsun scarf sample tied on as a head wrap to help keep the sun off my face-but, go to the website and look at the details of the large scarfs that easily can cover the delicate decollete area in a swimsuit, over the shoulders to prevent burn on the deltoids as well as wrapped around a waist and keep the sun off the tops of the thighs. There are several colors to choose from-and even if you don't triathon, or swim much, or go out in the sun much-the gloves are a must for every day driving? Why? Because 99% of us put the sunscreen on our face-not our hands, and then drive our cars with hour hands on the wheel in the direct sun! So get some!
