Wine Wednesay | It's Jammy Time!

 Snap your fingers and just like that! School is back in session! On campus and ready to enjoy the learning and being with the peers is a good thing for students. For all the parents who aren't teachers and who had to suddenly become teachers, good for you too! You may need a sip of wine.

What's On Your Back to School List?

My cub is starting high school and it's funny how the supply list has shrunk! In Kindergarten and elementary school - middle school even, there were more than a dozen things on the school supply list.

Back to School Time! Some Helpful Tips

Happy Monday! And ..for many moms and kids today - happy back to school!
We are not back to school - we are on the road for an important work trip for me that I am lucky enough to be able to take my cub with me.

We are making our first trip to SIGGRAPH and beyond excited to see and learn more about VR production and spend time with Unreal Engine. Happy doesn't cover it!

Though many schools are back in - and officially start today and here we go - on the road!

Happy Labor Day to You and Yours!

Well, here we are. It's here. It's official. For the United States, Labor Day means that Fall, and real life is back on track. The summer oblivion and joie de vivre carefree zestful days of no schedule and no school are officially over.

True, here in Arizona, we have been in school for over a month and professionally for me, I go back to work when my son goes back to school. In fact, I am using this day, to stay in my pyjamas, and ooze from my bed to my lazy boy chair and lay there like over cooked broccoli for the entire day binging on any and all shows and movies that I want to see. Why? Because as of September 4th - my work and production schedule goes full tilt! Like Tilt-a-Whirl at the county fair kind of tilt.

I'm not complaining by any means! I am ecstatic about the upcoming celebrations for Rosh Hashana! So so so looking forward to all of the mega commutes full of new audio books and the commute from here to Burbank and back, and back, and back again! 

So knowing that is coming, I am taking today - to rest- really really really deep in my bones rest to the point of boredom at the end of the day. Because when I awake on Tuesday morning, it's go time. Supersonic go and I'm ready for it!

How are you and your family spending the Labor Day weekend?  Here's a touch of history about the holiday. Which started out as an opportunity to celebrate the work and progress of the country and has quickly spiraled into a political pandering point mess.

I say, enjoy yourself, rest. Enjoy your loved ones - the family, friends and fur family on this day. Take a deep breath and enjoy the day because not only has Fall officially started ...so has the countdown to Christmas.  113 days to be exact!

Do you Dew Puff?

 Happy Monday to ya! Oh, how I love Mondays - I get so much done and this week is action packed!
So I'm going into my second week of my laser facial and I just really like the results.

I'm continuing to follow the post procedure protocol of taking really good care of my skin, which is a norm and given for me personally.

This little skin cleansing sponge made of natural plant based fiber is gentle on my healing skin and effective in cleaning my skin.  Meet Dew Puff!

Treets Traditions - Relaxing chakra's Foaming Shower Gell in rose & ricebran oil

How is your Sunday going? Is it relaxing or full of adventure or prep and planning?
Mine, is  prep and planning. Though I would like to be sipping sangria and grillin' meats for the fam then having a show - I'm not.

The week ahead is cray cray amazing - don't get me wrong - I'm super excited for all that is coming up in the next 3 weeks -  but - it means that some serious nose to the grindstone preparation needs to be done around the house to ensure a smooth week ahead and then some.


Now that all the chores are done - with just some in house cleaning to complete - I am ready to relax with a long hot shower and lots of my fave bath goodies, but in the shower. I don't really like baths because who wants to soak in their own dirty water? Seriously!

I have a new foaming shower gel to use for some in shower spa aromatherapy from Treets Tradtions, it's rose and ricebran oil.  I'm a huge fan of the rose scent and this shower foam is made with rose oil!

It's foamy with lots of nourishing skin oil for a pampering shower. You can dispense a ball of foam into your palm, onto a poof or wash cloth then enjoy the aromatherapy and moisturizing wash.

Wine Wednesday with Naked Grape Pinot Noir

Hi ya Gorgeous!
Girl, you know what time it is! Wine Wednesday! Time for a wine review of a bottle of red that is ten dollars or under.

So why the distinction of a red wine? Because, in general I prefer red. I will dabble in some rose, or champagne and if you ever see me drinking white wine, I'm most likely signaling for help.

This bottle was under ten dollars and actually came in near the $5 range - apologies for not remembering the exact price though what I do remember is that this pinto noir finished hard, sour, and like sand paper that has been used for a few trees.

It always surprises me when I don't like something, and I have to say, this is not a favorite. Enjoy the video!

Bronx Colors as seen on American Beauty Star

Today I have a new product introduction for you, meet Bronx Colors Urban Cosmetics.
You may have seen these on the reality tv show, American Beauty Star with Adriana Lima.

This is a fairly new brand and you can find it on UltaBeauty.com and their webpage which has the biggest selection of products.

I was recently at Cosmoprof North America on a media assignment. Bronx Colors has a  brand new line of makeup  brushes that are magnetic and they come in a metal tin.  You can use the tin case as a palette and place to "park" your brushes magnetically to hold them up and keep the brush bristles off of the table area where you are working, increasing the hygienic barrier for your client or self.

I received this sample box of makeup and it was such a delight to open and find so many fun colors to play with. I love the lip tint in a Fall berry hue!

Wild Spirit Fragrances for Back to School Confidence

Oh boy do I ever love a Monday. Anything and everything is possible on a Monday. I have a jam action packed week ahead of me and though it's a lot of work, I'm excited for the creative challenge!

So far so good, my son and I both like this spray and I know the experts say don't use spray sunscreen because enough does not get on the skin and a thick layer that gets rubbed in and activated on the skin is really what is necessary for sun protection.

This product is an avobenzone product and not reef safe - but it's pool safe and some sun protection is better than none at all. Wine Wednesday: California Dream Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Phew! Just got back from a whirlwind trip from my small town to the big city to do back to school shopping.

Yes. You read that right. BTS is here in the state of Arizona. We still have a few weeks, though the big sales ended today and I wanted to take advantage of those.  Since we start so early in August, when the national back to school sales start in late September, we've already been in school for weeks!
