Hello Gorgeous! Thanks for visiting today. I'm so excited about this week and it's many guest posts from powerful and encouraging ladies who are speaking love and life into you during the Anti-Bullying Campaign! Today's guest post is from 2011 Miss Arizona's Outstanding Teen Marissa Mezzatesta. Enjoy!
When you look in the mirror who do you see, is it the person you want to be and love or has someone changed that. You are you and no one has the right to tell you other wise unless you let them.
Most of the time bullying comes from jealousy or the other parties lack of confidence, so it is important to remember how special you truly are. I have found that being involved in an activity you love and feel comfortable in, weather it is dancing, singing, drawing, writing, a favorite sport, or what ever you niche is, helps with ones self esteem.
So my advice would be to get involved at school or in an activity you love and make friends within this group who you know you have things in common with.
Having this activity to go to and these friends supporting you will lead you to happiness and give you the confidence you need to resist any outside negativity. You should never feel alone, so don’t hesitate to speak with someone about what is bothering you, because they may too know what you are going through.
The best way to stand up to a bully is by showing you are the bigger and stronger person and as I would like to say “kill em with kindness” :)
